1. Are all members of the executive branch, or individuals otherwise holding executive authority, elected or appointed by and dependent upon elected officials?: Members of the executive branch are members of parliament, and thus they need to be elected by the people for the position they desire.
2. Are all members of all branches of the legislature elected by the citizenry?: Yes.
3. Are term limits in place and enforced on all governmental positions with executive or legislative authority?: Term limits are non-existent, as a matter of fact, members stay in parliament until they retire or are voted out, if a member of parliament is doing anything illegal, they will stand trial to the parliament.

4. Does the ability to pass legislature and decide public policy rest solely in the legislature or authorities delegated by and dependent upon the legislature?: Not exactly, when new policy is proposed in the parliament, it has to gp through local, group and then the universal parliament, once it passes, the last choice is upon citizens, which means that some sectors might have the policy, while in others it was simply rejected.
5. Is the legislature and its functionings, that is to propose, debate, pass, repeal, and amend legislation entirely independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: If you count citizens and the parliament a different institution, then no.
6. Is the judiciary and its ability to carry out its duties within accordance to established law independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: Not entirely, it depends on what they are doing, and if the citizens demand that the parliament will intervene, it has to, and the judiciary cannot do anything about it.

7. What percentage of the eligible population voted in the last general election?: Very tought to estimate, but it would be around 50%.
8. Is voting voluntary?: Yes.
9. Are all citizens eligible to vote also eligible to run for any public office, assuming they are of age, regardless of partisan loyalties or other conditions?: Yes.
10. Is citizenship granted to all individuals born in the nation’s territory, and means of acquiring citizenship in place for all legal immigrants?: Yes.
11. Are all adult citizens eligible to vote regardless of sex, ethnicity, or other conditions?:

12. Is state media entirely politically impartial and non-partisan, reporting objectively and or allowing a platform for dissenting or competing opinions when discussing political issues?: Yes.
13. Does the state censor any media for political reasons?: It's beyond impossible to censor anything consider the nation's population.
14. Are residents allowed to express any speech free from censorship or persecution from state institutions, exempting fraud, libel, and incitement to violent crime?: Absolutely.
15. Are residents allowed to form non-violent and non-obstructive political demonstrations without threat of persecution?: Yup.

16. Are elections fair and regular?: Impossible to make them unfair, a single representative holds no power what so ever, and if it appeared to be unfair, the represenative is voted out.

1. Are all members of the executive branch, or individuals otherwise holding executive authority, elected or appointed by and dependent upon elected officials?:

All members of the Imperial Government, including the Emperor are elected directly by the People

2. Are all members of all branches of the legislature elected by the citizenry?:

All members of the Senate are elected directly by the People.

3. Are term limits in place and enforced on all governmental positions with executive or legislative authority?:

10 years for every post, The Senate has mid-term elections every 5 years.

4. Does the ability to pass legislature and decide public policy rest solely in the legislature or authorities delegated by and dependent upon the legislature?:

The Legislature is every citizen in the Imperium; even the Emperor; the right to vote is equal for all (swiss direct democracy style). There are some differences; The Elected Legislature Body (Senate) is responsible for writing all laws (those proposed by the People, by the Senate or by the Imperial Government). The Imperial Government alone is responsible for writing laws on defense, economy and foreign policy and they can only be voted by the Senate (not the People).

5. Is the legislature and its functionings, that is to propose, debate, pass, repeal, and amend legislation entirely independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?:

Per Direct Democracy, 50.000.000 signatures are required to challenge any law (including those not voted by the People). Legistlature is independent.

6. Is the judiciary and its ability to carry out its duties within accordance to established law independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?:

The Judiciary is totally independent.

7. What percentage of the eligible population voted in the last general election?:

90% (10% were criminals/mentally ill/otherwise incapable).

8. Is voting voluntary?:

No, voting is required (because we're a direct democracy, the People themselves passed a law that made them be required to vote).

9. Are all citizens eligible to vote also eligible to run for any public office, assuming they are of age, regardless of partisan loyalties or other conditions?:

There are no political parties in the Imperium, thus all People, of age, can run for any office but the Logothetes Chancellor and the Emperor (there are extremely strict criteria for those posts).

10. Is citizenship granted to all individuals born in the nation’s territory, and means of acquiring citizenship in place for all legal immigrants?:

Either through the Leges Sanguinis (by joining the Armed Forces, the military oath repaces the citizenship oath) or a Joint Bureau of the Prytaneion of Foreign and Internal Affairs interviews the person wishing to become a Hellenic Citizen. Then one must accept the Act of Assimilation with all it's clauses. If one meets the requirements and standards of the Act, the Bureau members vote on the case. The same happens in the community the member so choses to live amongst for at least six months. It requires 2/3rds majority for the acceptance or denial of a case. If the rejection is belived by the interviewee to be unfair or biased, a Justice of the Council of State looks over the case and his decision is final.

All persons of recognized nations can hold dual citizenships. Also, a child born abroad is given Hellenic citizenship if at least one parent is a citizen.

11. Are all adult citizens eligible to vote regardless of sex, ethnicity, or other conditions?:

All adults can vote, if they are citizens. Criminals of High Crimes (those that merit the penalty of death), mentally ill and incapable due to other causes (comatose, dead) cannot vote.

12. Is state media entirely politically impartial and non-partisan, reporting objectively and or allowing a platform for dissenting or competing opinions when discussing political issues?:

There is no state media, all media are private and independent.

13. Does the state censor any media for political reasons?:

Never, doing so is treason.

14. Are residents allowed to express any speech free from censorship or persecution from state institutions, exempting fraud, libel, and incitement to violent crime?:

Freedom of speech is held in high regard in the Imperium.

15. Are residents allowed to form non-violent and non-obstructive political demonstrations without threat of persecution?:

It is encouraged and has been the catalyst of public opinion to the Government in many occassions.

16. Are elections fair and regular?:

Direct elections via electronic means inaccessible by anyone (including the Emperor) and requiring authentications, are impartial.

1. Are all members of the executive branch, or individuals otherwise holding executive authority, elected or appointed by and dependent upon elected officials?: Yes. The Regency Command Council and even the Ruler itself are responsible towards the Great Council which is the central legislative body of the Cybernetic Dushani Empire.
2. Are all members of all branches of the legislature elected by the citizenry?: No. Members of the Grand Council are send by the estates, districts, guilds, states and nations of the realm which together form the Principality of Dushan in their whole. Some of those sub units have their own democratically elected governments which in turn send their representatives to the Grand Council. Representative democracy as in the 21th Century earth does not exist on Dushan, though some have said that the dushani system bears somewhat resemblances with "Council Democracy".
3. Are term limits in place and enforced on all governmental positions with executive or legislative authority?: No

4. Does the ability to pass legislature and decide public policy rest solely in the legislature or authorities delegated by and dependent upon the legislature?: Yes.
5. Is the legislature and its functionings, that is to propose, debate, pass, repeal, and amend legislation entirely independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: Yes
6. Is the judiciary and its ability to carry out its duties within accordance to established law independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: Yes, however the Ruler is also the supreme judge. His or her word are law. Under some circumstances.

7. What percentage of the eligible population voted in the last general election?: 72,6%
8. Is voting voluntary?: Mostly yes. The details depend on the estate however.
9. Are all citizens eligible to vote also eligible to run for any public office, assuming they are of age, regardless of partisan loyalties or other conditions?: Theoretically yes.
10. Is citizenship granted to all individuals born in the nation’s territory, and means of acquiring citizenship in place for all legal immigrants?: No. There are some important differences, traditionally only by service a dushan can prove itself to be worthy of certain status and privileges. The details differ on the estate and terretorial location however.
11. Are all adult citizens eligible to vote regardless of sex, ethnicity, or other conditions?: Yes all dushani who are full "citizens" have equal rights and duties.

12. Is state media entirely politically impartial and non-partisan, reporting objectively and or allowing a platform for dissenting or competing opinions when discussing political issues?: State and Public controlled media tend to be relatively objective in their reporting as far this is applicable. Given that they are operating under advanced psycho-social techniques and the likes however.
13. Does the state censor any media for political reasons?: Rarely and indirectly, but yes. Especially for reasons of national security and if necessary to prevent acts of psychological warfare in this context.
14. Are residents allowed to express any speech free from censorship or persecution from state institutions, exempting fraud, libel, and incitement to violent crime?: Yes and no. While there is no "free speech" in the dushani realms but people are usually allowed to voice their opinion and word without fear of repressions.
15. Are residents allowed to form non-violent and non-obstructive political demonstrations without threat of persecution?: De-facto yes.

16. Are elections fair and regular?: Pretty much as far as this applicable.

Kabzeel, meaning "God's Gathering" in hebrew, is a federal, dominant-party, socialist(non-marxist)constitutional monarchy with a rich Jewish heritage dating back to it's creation in 845 CE. Today, it spans almost the entirety of Eastern Europe and is the largest predominately Jewish and female-led state in the world as it follows the doctrine of "Royal Socialism", a paternalistic conservative ideology with an emphasis on socialization, social ownership, and conservative feminism. Its relationship with Israel is noticeably rocky, but this is due to the ongoing complications between Kabzeelian and Israeli Zionism.

TurtleShroom is currently tied up under a Civil War and is under the rule of an extremely unpopular military junta that suspended the Constitution (and that is primarily what catalyzed the war). This survey pertains to TS when the nation is in order.

1. Are all members of the executive branch, or individuals otherwise holding executive authority, elected or appointed by and dependent upon elected officials?: Not all of them. The three Kings of TurtleShroom are selected by sortition amongst twelve successors designated by the previous deceased King.
2. Are all members of all branches of the legislature elected by the citizenry?: All but the legislature's speaker are directly elected. The Judgemaster is appointed and he also sits on the Supreme General Court as its Chief Justice.
3. Are term limits in place and enforced on all governmental positions with executive or legislative authority?: The Crown serves for life. Judges serve for twelve year terms, and Senators for thirty year terms. However, all public officials of all branches (up to and including the Crown) may, at any time, be Recalled by popular vote. Any TurtleShroomian citizen may initiate a Recall and gather signatures to enforce it.

4. Does the ability to pass legislature and decide public policy rest solely in the legislature or authorities delegated by and dependent upon the legislature?: Yes.

5. Is the legislature and its functionings, that is to propose, debate, pass, repeal, and amend legislation entirely independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: Yes.

6. Is the judiciary and its ability to carry out its duties within accordance to established law independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: Yes. (All general judges are directly elected, except the Judgemaster. Judges on the drug courts are appointed, and judges overseeing divorce are primarily clergymen or knowledgeable laymen from the Church as a whole.)

7. What percentage of the eligible population voted in the last general election?: Approximately seventy to eighty percent. TS has always had unusually high voter turnout.

8. Is voting voluntary?: Obviously.

9. Are all citizens eligible to vote also eligible to run for any public office, assuming they are of age, regardless of partisan loyalties or other conditions?: The Constitution forbids felons from running for public office, and many local districts (including the nation's capital) prohibit chimeras (e.g. Nekomimis/cat-girls, Kitsunes, etc.) from running for public office.

10. Is citizenship granted to all individuals born in the nation’s territory, and means of acquiring citizenship in place for all legal immigrants?: Yes. TS enforces Jus Soli (birthright citizenship), and anyone born in TS becomes a TurtleShroomian citizen unless the parent or parents are in the country illegally.

11. Are all adult citizens eligible to vote regardless of sex, ethnicity, or other conditions?: The Constitution of TurtleShroom

12. Is state media entirely politically impartial and non-partisan, reporting objectively and or allowing a platform for dissenting or competing opinions when discussing political issues?: Of course not. State media exists to broadcast state propaganda and produce press releases. However, TurtleShroomian state media is a minority, and every other channel is privately owned in all forms of media.

13. Does the state censor any media for political reasons?: Never. Censorship is applied only for moral reasons (e.g. removing sex from media).

14. Are residents allowed to express any speech free from censorship or persecution from state institutions, exempting fraud, libel, and incitement to violent crime?: The TurtleShroomian allows any and all criticism, dissent, and verbal attacks against itself and all of TurtleShroom's institutions, public and private, without exception. However, the state enforces strict bans or censorship on pornography, obscenity, sexual content, and other such "amoral" vices and things. All media not intended as political musings or elements of dissent must pass through a Board of Censors, which will scrub and edit it of sex and other vices, or ban it if it cannot.

15. Are residents allowed to form non-violent and non-obstructive political demonstrations without threat of persecution?: As long as their demonstrations are not based on industrial action (e.g. striking), they are allowed to protest in designated areas. Non-protest demonstrations and gatherings are unrestricted and need no permits outside of the largest cities. The Constitution of TurtleShroom permits sit-ins, strikes, and other obstructiver actions to be terminated, if needed, by deadly force.

16. Are elections fair and regular?: Yes. Electoral fraud is punishable by death in TurtleShroom.

1. Are all members of the executive branch, or individuals otherwise holding executive authority, elected or appointed by and dependent upon elected officials?: yes
2. Are all members of all branches of the legislature elected by the citizenry?: not directly (some are elected by the representative bodies of the nanti and rekijo), but yes.
3. Are term limits in place and enforced on all governmental positions with executive or legislative authority?: Oh dear, where to even start... "term limits" don't exist in the international sense, the way Rejistania sees the term is that no motions to dispose a politician can be filed within the first month in office and in that sense, they do exist.

4. Does the ability to pass legislature and decide public policy rest solely in the legislature or authorities delegated by and dependent upon the legislature?: not solely... there is the possibility of popular veto and petitions
5. Is the legislature and its functionings, that is to propose, debate, pass, repeal, and amend legislation entirely independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: yes (with the exception that the people can call a veto for every passed law)
6. Is the judiciary and its ability to carry out its duties within accordance to established law independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: yes

7. What percentage of the eligible population voted in the last general election?: The decentrality of the elections make this harder to say, but about 86%
8. Is voting voluntary?: yes
9. Are all citizens eligible to vote also eligible to run for any public office, assuming they are of age, regardless of partisan loyalties or other conditions?: no, citizens and permanent residents can vote and run for some public offices, but only citizens can run for the highest offices.
10. Is citizenship granted to all individuals born in the nation’s territory, and means of acquiring citizenship in place for all legal immigrants?: yes for the former, but you cannot become a rejistanian citizen after birth, only permanent residents. Permanent residents have many rights like citizens but cannot serve ministrial offices, serve in the kenlentine mje'het or become a judge in the supreme court.
11. Are all adult citizens eligible to vote regardless of sex, ethnicity, or other conditions?: yes

12. Is state media entirely politically impartial and non-partisan, reporting objectively and or allowing a platform for dissenting or competing opinions when discussing political issues?: yes
13. Does the state censor any media for political reasons?: no, apart from anticonstitutional speech
14. Are residents allowed to express any speech free from censorship or persecution from state institutions, exempting fraud, libel, and incitement to violent crime?: speech that incites the abolishment of Rejistania as a free, federal, secular and unified nation is not allowed
15. Are residents allowed to form non-violent and non-obstructive political demonstrations without threat of persecution?: yes

16. Are elections fair and regular?: yes

1. Are all members of the executive branch, or individuals otherwise holding executive authority, elected or appointed by and dependent upon elected officials?: Yes
2. Are all members of all branches of the legislature elected by the citizenry?: Yes
3. Are term limits in place and enforced on all governmental positions with executive or legislative authority?: The President is term limited, as are two-thirds of Senate (Upper House) seats (a compromise between "no career politicians" and "stable leadership" factions); the Assembly (Lower House) is not term limited.

4. Does the ability to pass legislation and decide public policy rest solely in the legislature or authorities delegated by and dependent upon the legislature?: The ability to pass legislation is reserved to the legislature and the states. We consider "decide public policy" too vague to answer. Any figure with an idea and a the charisma or whatever to spread it can have some influence on public policy.
5. Is the legislature and its functionings, that is to propose, debate, pass, repeal, and amend legislation entirely independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: There's a Presidential veto. The Constitution cannot be overridden by the legislature, and it is the duty of the judiciary to enforce this by review of passed laws. Otherwise yes.
6. Is the judiciary and its ability to carry out its duties within accordance to established law independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: The judiciary is completely independent in its duties, although it doesn't get to appoint its own members.

7. What percentage of the eligible population voted in the last general election?: ~55%
8. Is voting voluntary?: Yes
9. Are all citizens eligible to vote also eligible to run for any public office, assuming they are of age, regardless of partisan loyalties or other conditions?: Many offices hold a minimum time of residence or citizenship in the district or area to be represented.
10. Is citizenship granted to all individuals born in the nation’s territory, and means of acquiring citizenship in place for all legal immigrants?: Citizenship in the Federation is conveyed via citizenship in a member state, and their citizenship policies are not uniform. The most restrictive policy would include a path to citizenship for all legal immigrants and convey citizenship via either parent (including adopted children), but would not grant citizenship based on birthplace (e.g. the child of a couple on a tourist visa would not be granted automatically citizenship, although they would be considered a legal immigrant and failing the citizenship test should be essentially impossible with a native education, if they remain in-country).
11. Are all adult citizens eligible to vote regardless of sex, ethnicity, or other conditions?: The right to vote can be lost as punishment for conviction of a crime, otherwise yes.

12. Is state media entirely politically impartial and non-partisan, reporting objectively and or allowing a platform for dissenting or competing opinions when discussing political issues?: As close to it as anyone's is, so not very close. We just don't lie to ourselves about it. All viewpoints with any level of public support are well represented in Shavanoan media. Most major organizations make a sincere effort to present facts fairly and without bias, unless the piece is clearly an editorial.
13. Does the state censor any media for political reasons?: No. They would likely face an armed revolt if they tried.
14. Are residents allowed to express any speech free from censorship or persecution from state institutions, exempting fraud, libel, and incitement to violent crime?: Yes.
15. Are residents allowed to form non-violent and non-obstructive political demonstrations without threat of persecution?: Yes. Our cities are literally designed to make sure there is plenty of room for protests near any executive, legislatural, or judicial building.

16. Are elections fair and regular?: Yes.

1. Are all members of the executive branch, or individuals otherwise holding executive authority, elected or appointed by and dependent upon elected officials?:
No, absolutely not. The Emperor of the Nocts is a primarily hereditary position, although ultimately vetted and approved by the combined delegations of the Military, Senate, and Diet. As it stands, the Imperatorship remains vacant. The Supreme Leader of the Noctish Imperial Armed Forces has assumed regency over the country, and such a position is not elected.

2. Are all members of all branches of the legislature elected by the citizenry?:
No. 90% of the lower house (the Imperial Diet) is elected by universal vote of all eligible citizens in the Realm. The remaining 10% are made up of appointed delegates of the Armed Forces, Crown, and the Crown Corporations. The Imperial Senate is entirely appointed by the Emperor (now Supreme Leader) and Chancellor on the advice of the State Supreme Council (themselves appointed).

3. Are term limits in place and enforced on all governmental positions with executive or legislative authority?:
Yes and no. Elected officials usually stay in office for 5 year terms. Appointed officials remain in office either until they reach retirement age or are removed from their posting by whomever appointed them.

4. Does the ability to pass legislature and decide public policy rest solely in the legislature or authorities delegated by and dependent upon the legislature?:
The Imperial Diet possesses the power to create, pass, and rescind legislation, and is therefore responsible for the passing of most laws in the Realm. The Emperor/Supreme Leader may also exercise the power of veto upon any bill that is submitted by the Diet. The executive branch also has the power to pass legislation of its own, such legislation is then voted on by the Imperial Senate. The Imperial Senate is also responsible for deciding which legislation enters force should legislation by the Diet and legislation by the Emperor contradict one another.

5. Is the legislature and its functionings, that is to propose, debate, pass, repeal, and amend legislation entirely independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: No.
6. Is the judiciary and its ability to carry out its duties within accordance to established law independent of and unrestricted by other institutions?: Yes.

7. What percentage of the eligible population voted in the last general election?: 83%
8. Is voting voluntary?: Yes.
9. Are all citizens eligible to vote also eligible to run for any public office, assuming they are of age, regardless of partisan loyalties or other conditions?:

10. Is citizenship granted to all individuals born in the nation’s territory, and means of acquiring citizenship in place for all legal immigrants?:
No, Citizenship is not granted at birth. Citizenship is earned through service to the State, usually through a term in the military service sector or civil service sector. Those that immigrate to the nation are not eligible at all for such service, and as such may never receive citizenship unless through very special circumstances. The progeny of legal immigrants are eligible, and expected, to take up their term in the service and gain citizenship. Illegal immigrants are, legally-speaking, non-existent entities, and are not protected under any laws nor do they have any rights at all.

11. Are all adult citizens eligible to vote regardless of sex, ethnicity, or other conditions?:
Citizens that develop a mental condition debilitating enough to call their sanity and sapience into question are prevented from voting or for running for office. Citizens that commit heinous-enough crimes are stripped of their citizenship entirely. While citizens of other ethnicities are allowed to vote and run for office, the upper echelons of Noctish governance are made up almost exclusively of ethnic Nocts. As such, to even reach such sections of governance practically requires one be a pure-blooded Noct, even if such a restriction is not legally mandated. Nocts would never willingly allow a non-Noct to rule over them.

12. Is state media entirely politically impartial and non-partisan, reporting objectively and or allowing a platform for dissenting or competing opinions when discussing political issues?:
Yes. State media is strictly based on the objective, empirical facts of whatever matter it is reporting on. It is a matter most unfortunate that even utmost objectivity cannot remain politically impartial and non-partisan, as some political ideologies (such as Western Liberal Democracy, and Feminism) actively eschew objectivity in favour of emotion and irrationality.

13. Does the state censor any media for political reasons?:
No. Instead, the state runs its own form of entertainment based on the downright hilariously stupid proclamations of other politicians (mostly, but not always, foreign). The State does not enforce censorship, but regularly exposes the citizenry to downright ludicrous political positions and ideologies (such as "egalitarianism") as a way of showing them the past and present errors of others, such that we may learn which paths not to tread.

14. Are residents allowed to express any speech free from censorship or persecution from state institutions, exempting fraud, libel, and incitement to violent crime?:
Yes, and even more than that. Fraud, Libel, and "Incitement to violent crime" are not crimes, and thus warrant no state censorship. It is the individual's responsibility to deal with cases of libel by bringing such matters to the civil courts, or to be keen enough to tell when a deal is fraudulent, or to have self-control and not fall to violent urges.

On the other hand, threatening to do harm or kill any member of the government is considered treason, with the degree of treason dependent on the rank of the government official in question.

15. Are residents allowed to form non-violent and non-obstructive political demonstrations without threat of persecution?:
There is no such thing as "non-violent" or "non-obstructive" political demonstrations. All political demonstrations are either inherently violent or inherently obstructive.

16. Are elections fair and regular?: Elections to the Imperial Diet are fairly regular, usually every 5 years or so unless events occur such that the entire Diet is dissolved prematurely. Local elections (for municipal leaders, colonial legates, etc.) happen irregularly, as local elections are not the concern of the central government.
