Arianism, or Arian* Christianity, is a unique sect of the larger Christian faith that emerged as one of its two predominant forms in the 4th century AD. It is a nontrinitarian view, asserting that Jesus is separate from God, is His son, and is thus subordinate to God.

The first two Ecumenical Councils affirmed the other present Orthodoxy, Homoousianism. The First Council of Nicaea therefore declared Arianism to be heterodox, in opposition to the orthodoxy, and summarily heretical. Whilst Arianism persisted in the reigns of Emperors Constantius II and Valens, as well as Odoacer of the Ostrogoths, as well as later the Lombards and Visigoths, it severely declined.

Jehovah's Witnesses are often referred to as Arians but mainly by opponents, and differ theologically from Arius himself. No single group today in the real world holds to full Arian teachings though some are very similar. Not only did the First Council of Nicaea proclaim Arianism heretical (as did the First Council of Constantinople), but virtually every branch of Christianity within both Catholicism and Protestantism mainly, regard Arianism as a heresy.

*Arian has no relation to the word Aryan. 'Arian' is derived from its founder, Arius, whilst 'Aryan' is an Indo-Iranian word meaning 'noble'. Therefore the use of the word 'Arians' is not an implication of 'Aryan' as race or ethnicity but solely religious orientation.

Is there a denomination of Arian Christians in your nation? Yes. There are at least two organised church bodies claiming classical Arian beliefs and continuity with the original Arians. Their followers are concentrated in the Eastern Highlands, where one can also find communities of Docetists, Mechisedekians, and the like. In addition to these churches, there are also Unitarian Christians, Christadelphians, and smaller, less established groups of Oneness Pentecostals, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Christian Scientists converted by foreign missionaries. However, all of these groups put together likely constitute around 1% of the population, if that.

Is there a denomination of Arian Christians in your nation? Yes. Arian Christians in Carloso number several dozen, concentrated in an area to the north-east of the city of Ebon. They are organised under the banner of the Arian Church of Carloso. Historically, its adherents descend from immigrants to Carloso from the Visigothic nation of Vizkigeric on the other side of Musgorocia. Arians themselves make up only a small minority of Christians in Vizkigeric, where Catholicism has a plurality amongst various other Chalcedonian denominations that formed after the exodus from Iberia. Many of these churches have yet to return to communion with the Bishop of Rome.

In the 1980s, the government launched an initiative to give resources to people resurrecting dead religions, in order to prevent them from becoming extinct again. This resulted in a few people converting and keeping Arianism alive.
