Other Information:
Now why is Nomayuki's currency called "fried chickens and chips"? Here's the answer.

First, F. C. C. is only a slang word used for Nomayuki's currency, the Schuffiger.

Second, it has a backstory that started in 1937, when a Nomayukian man fried a chicken. At that time, there were way too many chickens in Nomayuki, and we needed to find a way to make space. This guy had the solution to that. Fried Chicken became popular after the man, Nikhail Stepanov, made a restaurant, now known as Stepanov's. The price of a piece of fried chicken was 0.5 Schuffigers, which has never inflated.

But by 1940, chickens were close to extinction in Nomayuki. So, Stepanov's son, Yuri Stepanov, decided to invent 3D printed chickens. He studied the DNA of chickens and then, after 2 years of hard work, made a 3D printer that made chickens. Because the said printer runs on such low energy, it was able to make many chickens that were killed and fried. This made the price of a piece of fried chicken lower, at 0.3 Schuffigers.

In 1945, Stepanov's opened it's first restaurant abroad in Manila, just after the city was liberated. It became very popular due to its low prices and high quality of the meals. This managed to attract an American business tycoon from the Mohawk Tribe. This tycoon managed to help Stepanov's add potato chips to the menu, which cost 0.2 Schuffigers a bag. That's still the price today, and they didn't do any dirty tricks like filling the bag with nitrogen. The tycoon then moved to Nomayuki, assimilated, and then joined Stepanov's Food Corporation.

2 pieces of fried chicken and 2 chip bags were worth 1 Schuffiger. Because many people went to Stepanov's and only spent one Schuffiger on 2 pieces of fried chicken and 2 chip bags, the people of Nomayuki chose to nickname the Schuffiger as the "Fried Chickens and Chips". In 1950, Yuri Stepanov and Nikhail Stepanov chose to add the Schuffiger bundle, which got you 2 pieces of fried chicken and 2 chip bags for only one Schuffiger.

And that, friends, is why Nomayuki's currency is referred to by many as Fried Chickens and Chips.

In 2010 the Narquid (a central bank derived fractional reserve fiat currency (Certificates of Indebtedness)) failed due Parliament’s lack of restraint from debasing the currency through “stimulus” spending. The ensuing hyperinflation made it both useless and worthless for economic transactions. Introduced 05 May 1917. Terminated March 2, 2016
Subunits of Currency: x1000 kilos (kilxes) NK$; 1/1000 mills (milxes) m (with a horizontal line through it); 1/1,000,000 micros (microxes) = μ (micron symbol). N£1 = 500g (6.0754 troy oz) = appx. US$290.00
₦1 = 19.32 (as of 2022)
Note: NSD unfortunately has a parity skew of valuation over 1,000% making it nonviable as a competitive currency within the Commonwealth of Narland. It does have collector’s value within the Commonwealth of Narland, a set of each bill and coin collectively going for about N£1 when framed for hanging on a wall.
Other Information:
The Commonwealth has three currencies that freely float against each other. The Narland Gold Dollar, denominated in gold is generally used for International Trade and general commerce. The Narland Pound Sterling, denominated in silver, is mostly used for general trade and domestic retail. The Narbit, is a blockchain cryptocurrency treated as a commodity but backed by Commonwealth Securities with a 100,000,000,000 Market Cap. It is experimental and very volatile. It tanked over a year ago and has not rebounded. Caveat emptor.

The Commonwealth of Narland itself, its officers, employees, and contractors, must use either the Gold Dollar or the Silver Pound. States, Cantons and Citizens must use them when dealing with the Commonwealth as a lawful entity. They are legal tender for all debts public and private and anyone may insist on payment only GDs and SPs.

Anyone properly licensed and bonded may produce their own currency so long as fraud and coercion are not involved – the penalties are stiff from 5 years hard labor to execution. There are several popular currencies competing in the marketplace at any given time. Narland has an entire branch of law dedicated to its systems of currency and coinage. Currency arbitrage is legal but highly regulated with a 5% tax per transaction.

It is not uncommon to see 3 prices on stickers and tags in dollars and pounds, and whatever regional currency is most popular at the time. Some places may have 5 or more. The Heatherbrook Institute Pesat (a platinum based currency) is moderately popular throughout the Commonwealth. Rocky Rocket’s Stop N Go Funtime Crypto-Credits (Funnies) is currently all the rage in Osaga and Columba States.

Needless to say, visitors to the Commonwealth are easily confused. A part of briefing visitors is a quick course on currency. Schoolchildren are taught how to lawful make their own currencies. Counterfeiting is considered seditious and or treasonous resulting in loss of citizenship, years of hard labor, or execution.
