First foreigners landed in Shinoviet
"Foreigners with crude manners, lacking hygiene and an inability to understand Shinovietan writing have landed in Shinoviet from countries they claim are called such ridiculous names as Portugal and the Netherlands. These foreigners bring with them explorers, missionaries and merchants, and their presence has already started to affect our people", 1549

Shinovietan contact with foreign countries began in 1549 when a Portugal ship was stranded on the southern coast of Kyushu island due to a storm in the ocean. then the second in 1551, the Dutch ship was also stranded due to a storm on the west coast of the Shishu island. the foreigners then settled for a while in Shinoviet and began spreading their influence, such as weapons technology and religion. but all that ended after the isolation law was imposed by the shogun, by restricting foreign relations with the Dutch and expelling the Portuguese from the Shinovietan archipelago.
in 1604, the ruling shogun in the name of the emperor, Shogun Endo Tanegawa enacted a Shinovietan isolation law known as "Haikoku" (闭国) or "the closed country". this policy imposes restrictions on diplomatic relations and trade with foreign countries and forbids Shinovietan people to travel outside of shinoviet for various reasons.
the isolation policy ended after the incident of the arrival of the black ship in 1861 which originated in France and was led by Admiral Louis chattel. this incident effectively ended the Haikoku period (闭国) that has been running for over 200 year
The Emperor of Shinoviet received a foreign diplomat in Kyodeira Imperial Palace on February 1870
Shinoviet is a sovereign island nation in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies off the eastern coast of the Asian mainland. The Chinese script that makes up Shinoviet's name means "Sino (Chinese origin) Stone", and it is often called the "Land of the Sino's Stone". Shinoviet is a stratovolcanic archipelago consisting of about 6,852 islands. The four largest are Hanshu, Hokushu, Kyushu, and Shishu, which make up about ninety-seven percent of Shinoviet's land area and often are referred to as home islands. The country is divided into 47 provinces in nine regions, with Hokushu being the northernmost prefecture and Okinawa being the southernmost one.
