Welcome to the National Faith Census Thread!

We are the Observers, and we form the central governing body of Germania Rayet. This thread would mark our first data collection programme inside the “Nationstates” multiverse. In this, our intent is to gather information about the many different state religions, or lack thereof, embraced by the nations inside this multiverse. With this information, we would divide the respondents into 6 major groups: Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Other Religions, and Secularism/Atheism.

Religion is quite strange and fascinating from our viewpoint. In one way or another, it affects and influences people, society, politics, and culture. Many also face the world without it, flourishing even without the need for faith. Our own faith, Gaianism, has gradually yet significantly moulded our way of life into what it is today. Without it, our society would likely be completely different.

We would be delighted to accept your responses. This data will be useful in understanding the multitude of faiths, and perhaps help us discover underlying truths and clues, eventually leading us to our creator.

With its status as the official religion, Gaianists are free to practice their beliefs anywhere, and even commit crimes against Atheists and Christians without fear of punishment.

Gaianism has three major denominations:
Proto-Gaianism: the earliest and oldest teaching of Gaianism. Followers of Proto-Gaianism are said to be fated to protect nature, even after death. They have Waiban as their supreme god, and believe Wolf Rayet is the messenger of the Creator.

Neo-Gaianism: the newest branch of Gaianism. Neo-Gaianists believe in the protection of Mother Nature at all costs.
