Is it allowed to be hunted? Goodness, yes. It's a prolific breeder and very tasty.
It it near, at, or surpassing human intelligence? There's been no evidence of that. Seems to be about as smart as a cockroach.
What does it's flesh taste like? Like a crab, but also with a hint of snail, and a bit of sea urchin. It's amazing.
How endangered is it? Not in the least. It's kind of a pest.
Is it magical? um, no.
How was it created? Evolution, we presume. Though it probably didn't evolve in this particular universe. It showed up on our boat while we were traversing a very unusual ocean.
Is it allowed to be used as a pet? It's not prohibited, but it's a dumb idea; they bite, and they eat anything organic.
Where does it live? Coastal and river areas. It can't get too far from water.
If one were to kill someone, what would people do to it? Laugh at it? It would be utterly ridiculous if that were to happen.
What are expensive resources you can get from it? It's not "expensive", but we produce an OTC medication called Limosasine from the mucous it secretes. It's a mild, non-addictive euphoric, with mood stabilizing and anti-anxiety properties. The meat also makes an excellent meal.
