Do your nation's citizens prefer to live in city centers, city suburbs, towns, or rural areas?: Rural areas. Most immigrants to Bouwen arrive in the cities, and live there while applying for citizenship and working to afford government land and a homesteading colonisation kit. Most never make it, getting sucked into the corruption and vice of the cities, but nevertheless rural areas are the dream for most people
What is the percentage of YN's people that lives in city centers?: 50%
What is the percentage of YN's people that lives in city suburbs?: 35%
What is the percentage of YN's people that lives in towns?: 5%
What is the percentage of YN's people that lives in rural areas?: 10%
What mode of transportation does YN's people prefer to commute to work?: Most walk or use small personal vehicles, our cities are very walkable
What are apartments/condominiums like in YN?: Fairly spacious and comfortable, on the whole. They mainly exist within the large, domed arcologies that are scattered in larger clusters around the equator (beneath the orbital ring)
What are suburban houses and houses in towns like in YN?: Large and sprawling, usually set into little estates of 50-200 houses beneath a single dome, often backing onto a park/lake/forest. Estates are usually adjacent to light manufacturing or mining industries, although they may sometimes be close to agri-domes as well
What are houses in rural areas like in YN?: A cluster of airtight domed habitation modules, usually enough for a few extended families, surrounded by agri-domes and occasionally small-scale mining or manufacturing

Cryptids are cool, but what about...SPACE CRYPTIDS???
Name: The Leviathan
Type:
Power (on a scale from 0a to 10a, see this for more info): 7b, though they are far too docile for this to be done.
Size: Titanic; Large as three Imperial Capital Ships end-to-end and tall as two stacked atop each other.
Is it real? (Yes / No) Classified. (Yes, but in bureaucracy. Its existence is not public so that it can be kept safe from possible hunters who would possibly seek to kill the creature for fame.)
Description: According to legend, the Leviathan is a massive beast that swallows planets whole. They are spoken about as creatures that seek to kill all other life and consume everything in the galaxy, until it is large enough to eat stars, in which it will consume entire galaxies of their stars until it is either killed, or blots out all light from the universe.
In reality, the Leviathan is a large creature of unknown origin and the only technically space-bound alien life encountered by the Empire, residing in a large dark sector between the Empire's native arm of the galaxy and the other. It does not appear capable of eating planets, though it can theoretically destroy an average planetary satellite if it utilized its full strength. Most biological data is unavailable about the creature due to the fact that it is so slow, though its genetic data has been sequenced and it could possibly be cloned with Imperial technology, though due to the massive amount of scientific, material and financial resources that would be required for such an undertaking it has not been even considered.

What cultures is it often mentioned?: The legend of the Leviathan is a modern corruption of the White Whale stories of Earth's antiquity, though this one coincidentally holds truth to its legend, as such a creature does exist, though it is very isolate and does not seem to care about other life.
If it is real, is it passive or aggressive?: Actually a placid and extinct species of Interplanetary life, the others of its race have seemingly died off in unknown circumstances.
Where does it live?: Mostly Dark Sectors of space where there are no stars, which could cause severe burns and possibly even kill the creature.
When does it become active (if it is dormant)?: It is active, but just extremely slow and sedentary. Some xenobiologists have gone so far as to assume it is suffering from depression after the total extinction of its species.
Other Notes: There is belief that the Leviathan species was culled or even hunted by an alien species, or perhaps a radical Human fringe group, as there is nothing to suggest even the existence of other members of its species that have been discovered thus far. Additional support for the depression theory is its lack of any visible intake of nutrients, and a large structure assumed to be used for letting out mating calls or other communication being totally dormant, and even showing minor signs of possible decay or scarring, though due to lack of a control, it is unknown what its alien tissue is supposed to look like on the structure.
UNDER THE EMPEROR'S GRACE
Emperor | Imperial Navy | History
ANNALES IMPERII | Daitu Golden Age (呆土黃金年齡) is sending a 400-person crew out of Inhabited Space for the first time in Imperial history in nearly 5 years. They will take a 2-year journey into the depths of the Orion Spur and reaching the Perseus Transit-over 5,000ly away. | Kemetic Kingdoms of Nebteyut and Nekfu meeting with the Emperor to discuss terms of Imperial protection over their worlds following recent pirate raids and increasing crime rates.
*Please note that alien encounters or interactions cannot happen at this time and, unless specified otherwise, any interactions with other nations are not canon to our storyline.

I wove together multiple frameworks. One was from, "The Worldbuilder's Anvil." This is a podcast. There were older framework questions I added too. Although, I cannot find those resources now.

Moral Dilemmas
Will an average citizen kill one person to save five? No.
- If no, will they do it if they were making someone else kill them?
No.
Will they sacrifice themselves to save 2 others?
Definitely!
If they had to kill one of two people, and one is begging to be killed to save the other, which will they kill?
Neither unless the one not begging agrees the one begging should.
In which case they hand them over for death sentence for being a coward and trying to get a braver man killed.
If an endangered animal was about to kill a citizen, would they kill the animal? Yes.
- If no, what if a person of hgh authority was getting attacked?
- if yes, what if the animal was an endling? No.
If a person who saved 2 lives before was trying to kill someone, would they allow it? No.
- If yes, what if they only saved one persons?
- If no, how many people would they have to save beforehand to get allowance?:
No number.
They might get a lesser punishment(1 year or less depending on circumstances) because they did save others.

What kind of TV shows are they?
They include action films, whodunnits, inverted detective story(howcatchem) and
documentaries.
Are they politicised if so in what way?
yes.
Often letting the reader make their own judgement but portraying both flaws in the system and the courage of individual officers.
Is their portrayal of the police force generally positive or negative,
Positive of officers but sometimes critical of institutions.
Which is the most popular?
Ali, Gendarmerie Officer
the most popular
What is it's name?:
Ali, Gendarmerie Officer
What kind of tv show is it?
A hard-boiled detective story
Is it portrayal of the police positive or negative?
Positive.
Who is the main character?
Ali Pathan(first Sepoy-Al Shurtah Ali Pathan and eventually Captain Ali Pathan)
Who is the main villain?
Mehmet “the barracuda”
Is it politicised if so in what way?
Portrayals the Royal Gendarmerie in general and the Futtuwah Regiment in particular as hard-working, courageous heroes. Still it portrays some aspects of the legal system as bad for vulnerable girls and women and some of the gendarmes in the show are corrupt.
It also makes right-wing points about law and order and the system as well as nationalist critiques of deserters and “unpatriotic people.”

What calendar does your nation use? The Cosmic Mainframe recommends its own time/date system, the Timestamp, which is similar to a Unix timestamp, but with a different epoch and a different length of one second.
What date format(s) does your nation use? The first few digits of a Timestamp (called a Timeprefix) convey the date.
What is today's [IC] date for your nation? Epoch 9, timeprefix 5E.30
What clock(s) does your nation use? Digital clocks of various kinds.
Does your nation use a different clock format when speaking VS in writing? Sometimes regional time standards (like Earth's clock) are used casually.
How are times written in your nation? Give an example The current timestamp number, usually in hexadecimal, for example 5E30F806
Are there any other important things to know about your nation's methods of date and time notation? The Timestamp, like most of the Mainframe's measurement standards, is designed to be equally accessible (or inaccessible) to all species of life.

Is the Millitary as institution viewed positively or negatively by the public(and which groups view it positively/negatively):

Positively overall, especially given that all tiefling adults must serve either in the actual military or a civilian service equivalent for three years. (This does not automatically begin at age 16, but must be started by age 32. Exemptions only apply for those with proven and serious mental or physical disabilities.) Given that national laws require at least 5% of the adult population to remain active or reserve military, it is extremely uncommon for families to not have at least one current or former military member, which gives the armed forces a feeling of familiarity. While provincial militia service may replace national conscription, conscripts into these militia tend to be viewed as cop-out cowards and unpatriotic. (Many provinces have formed all-volunteer militias as a result.)

Are officers viewed positively or negatively?

Mostly positive, given how they are few in number compared to the enlisted soldiers and are required to succeed even more intense physical and regiment training than the enlisted soldiers. Officers who received their commission after serving as an enlisted soldier, becoming an officer right after they were chosen for the conscription process, or if they have personally fought in some combat-intensive environment. Officers who shirk their routine physical training or act haughty and nepotistic are seen much more negatively, and often find themselves fragged by their subordinates. The Kulttrupp paramilitary group sees its officers the most positively, while the Himmelskraft (Air Force) sees their officers the most negatively.

What qualities are officers viewed as having?

The ideal officer not only shows immense physical prowess, but also exceptional cunning, above average intelligence (one must have at least a 100 IQ to be commissioned), and ruthlessness towards the enemy. Furthermore, at least some tertiary education is required to receive a commission. Most importantly, love for their subordinates is considered the most important quality an officer needs to survive in the tiefling armed forces, and this includes carnal love.

Are soldiers viewed positively or negatively?

Extremely positive. While commissioned officers may be seen as elitist or too sophisticated to fight their own wars at times, the average enlisted soldier is almost always seen as a knight of old, or a hometown hero fighting the good fight. Their physical training is less intense than officers but is more frequent and constant, giving them less finesse but more endurance than officers. They comprise the bulk of the armed forces, especially in the Tiefeswehr (Army), so a collectivist bond has grown. Carnal and romantic sisterly love is expected of soldiers, and to avoid such camaraderie is seen as suspicious. Noncommissioned officers are similarly adored given their tenure and competency requirements.

What qualities are soldiers viewed as having?

An enlisted soldier is seen as chivalrous, a good killer, and someone who sacrifices everything for the Reich. (They are paid rather well in their salaries thanks to a large military budget, however, so that sacrifice part has been debated by some detractors.) The average enlisted soldier carries herself with a working woman's attitude, even those from wealthier families. Oh, and similarly carnal and romantic love between each other and with officers is also required. Noncommissioned officers are expected to have at least one scar on their bodies.

How does the Milltary influence society?

The military seems omnipresent given the mandatory conscription and collaboration with the religious and civilian sectors of society. Even purely civilian Presbyters, for example, understand basic military formations and drills. The nation's strong weapons and military technology industry (both private and public) also instills a desire and affection for a strong military. Many civilian-tier personal firearms are often downgraded versions of military firearms, and the military is directly responsible for the creation of the Internet, Auto-Doc, and Stimpak.

How does society influence the Millitary?

The all-futa biology of the tiefling race makes Spartan-style relationships between military personnel expected and omnipresent. Even those married to non-miltary personnel are expected to love their fellow woman in arms romantically and carnally. Furthermore, the theocratic nature of tiefling society emphasizes respect and obedience to one's chaplain.

Are there any festivals linked to the Millitary?

March 8th, the Feminine Victory Day, is when Teufelreich won our last gender war against the remaining male existence. That day was proclaimed by General Gina Feuerhart on national radio, with the Chancellor and Bundesfrau too eager to reject. In addition, November 11th is celebrated as Veteran's Day, where we tieflings remember and venerate the veterans who tirelessly granted us our supremacy. Both days have been recognized as official state holidays.

Another School Uniform survey
Country name: Teufelreich

Do schools in this country mandate a uniform or dress code?

Yes, full nudity is mandated with virtually clothing save for medical equipment or during emergencies/extreme weather. Primary school children must wear belts, socks, and shoes for their protection, however. Note that nudity is mandatory at all levels and areas of tiefling society.

Similarly, do universities mandate a uniform or dress code?

Yes, basically the same mandatory nudity as secondary education. However, hats, gloves, masks, belts, socks, and shoes become allowed (as with general nudity laws). Despite some debate from professors, the Bund is unlikely to pass legislation to allow jockstraps that cover a woman's pseudopenis.

What kind of uniform or dress code is considered normal or standard at state schools?

For secondary schools, full nudity, including no shoes. Unless there is an emergency or extreme weather of course.

Do girls and boys have different uniforms or dress codes in state schools?

Only women (futas) existing in tiefling society. Men were stamped out during the Great Gender Wars and female biology was permanently altered to allow full reproduction with other females. Unnecessary question.

Are hats, bags and accessories a part of the uniform or dress code in state schools?

Purses or bookbags are required to hold equipment and personal items.

Are hair, facial hair, hair products, tattoos, makeup or jewellery controlled in state schools?

Only hair and makeup are allowed. We tieflings do not grow facial hair.

Is the standard different in private or independent schools, if they exist?

No, or else they would lose accredidation.

Your country's WMD program

Postby Oneid » Fri Jan 31, 2020 2:06 am

Code: Select all
Does your country have a WMD program  ?
If so, can you explain some of its history:

Does your country have a WMD program ?

Yes, Oneid has many biochemical weapons.
If so, can you explain some of its history:

Oneid's WMD program began shortly after the development of nuclear weapons. 7950 years. It was created as an additional layer of defense and a deterrent against invasive invasion. It has since been widely used in numerous Oneid expansion wars.Oneid is currently in the testing phase for orbital bombing.Oneid's nuclear weapons program began in 7930 years because of the threat of invasion. The first test happened in 7950 and was named Tottenham and yielded an yield of 11 kilitons. After the Civil War and the establishment of the Socialist Oneid, much nuclear and other WMD was accumulated.
A glorious dictatorship, the culmination of hundreds of annexed peoples in hundreds of years under one ruler and culture to supply the homeland.

Is property in your nation owned collectively in some fashion?

State-sponsored and state-controlled business are considered collectively owned. The latter is state-owned, while the former is guided by the state but placed in the hands of a board approved of by the state.

Does your nation retain market mechanisms?

In terms of the competitive spirit, yes. Reich control of the economy is set in place to ensure the supremacy of Teufelreichers over their own government rather than out of a mission for absolute equality of results. To that end, allowing competition between different workers and businesses is allowed with regulation.

Is there a socialist party that holds political dominance?

The Tiefesfrau Bund is a Strasserist party that is both the dominant party (and only legally recognized party) and also the legislature of the nation.

Is there a state at all?

Yes. A theocratic one at that who emphasizes charity and economic collectivism in its core tenants.

Do workers own and control their own workplaces?

Not directly, but they are owned and controlled by their respective unions. There is a main operations manager as well as a racial manager who ensures that the labor produced benefits the tiefling race and the Teufelreich nation.

Does the nation seek to expand socialism beyond its own borders?

Yes, at least for our clerical Strasserite brand.

Does your state have an interpretation of socialism that retains private property?

Yes, residential buildings, small family businesses, and private organizations may enjoy all the private property they want. It tends to be the larger entities that we suggest or mandate public property, however. We also allow copyright and patent to protect and encourage innovations.

Would you describe the nation as revolutionary, pacifist, or authoritarian/totalitarian?

Authoritarian and revolutionary, yes.
