Hello,
I'm currently building a family tree of my nation's royal family, which I would like to post on nation states.
What would be the easiest way to do this? I am not well-versed in bbcode so idk if there is any magic I can do that will format a family tree nicely.

What I'm thinking it to just send it as images, but that'll get complicated If i expand the tree past a few generations. It'll either become too large to read properly, or would have to be split up into smaller parts.

Any advice?

There could be better ones out there, but these are just some that I've used myself.

Note: I'm adding more pictures to make it look a bit better but like most of my factbooks, it's nowhere near done. Some information isn't up to date either.

I have a question about creating new F&NI Surveys.

While I understand there must be an effort requirement to it and sufficiently detailed to make it comprehensive or broad enough, can I just post it on my own in the F&NI thread or is there some approval process?

Things you will need:
• At least 5 factbooks for the 5 links in the toolbar
• 1 massive image for the factbook hub
• An emblem for the top-left of each dispatch.
• (Optional) a colour palette of two colours. To quickly replace the colour palette of this factbook: Orange: #FF7600 ; Green: #00A663

Things to know:
• Through the walls of code, you can see the things that you have to change by Ctrl-F the following:

(intentionally left open)

• You need to be sure you have finished the toolbar and the bottom part. Because if you decided you want to change the toolbar of one dispatch, you will have to change it for ALL dispatches that use it
• Designed on light theme, still looks pretty on dark theme[/url]
• It was made on a 13" MacBook Air. It means it will look different on screens with different sizes, and it will not use Helvetica Neue font, which might result in font issues
• Factbook hub: The hub that links to ALL your other factbooks. Recommended to be your only factbook. Set all other dispatches to "bulletins" or something, so that this will be the only factbook to show up when they click on your factbook links.
• Factbook outside of hub: All your other factbooks. Recommended to set all other factbooks to "bulletins" or something.

I made some earlier versions of this factbook that still look similar: The Romania and Dothrace

Finally, I lent this factbook to someone sometime ago. Not to discourage you, but they didn't finish it and ended up deleting it. But I swear if you finish it will feel SOOO rewarding! I did it THREE times across THREE accounts, you can do this!!!

Sorry the response here took so long, but it's valuable information to put out regardless: there is no approval process. You may simply post what you wish to post.

Obviously if it is determined that it doesn't suit requirements for a thread of its own, you may find it locked, potentially without an explanation if the OP is old enough or it seems like you the OP have become inactive. If your thread becomes locked without explanation, you are welcome to ask in Moderation why that may be; we're there to help.

Yes to floating. You should see floatleft and floatright buttons in the editor. Use that around the content/img tags you want shunted off to the side.

I don't believe that we have any size controls actually implemented. If we do, then unfortunately that is beyond me. I tried using the additional image sizing arguments with the img tag and none of them worked.

Is it generally considered a bad thing to base your factbooks on the real ones? To give context: I’m planning on writing a military factbook, using US Handbook on Imperial Japanese Army as a basis- basically writing in there when I need to change/edit some things. Is it acceptable?

I want to completely rewrite Lancov's canon, would it be better to start a new account or to just declare in my signature that all old posts are non-canon or what?

I need some help with government classification.

My nation's government, the Adunekind government, is inspired heavily by constellations and zodiacs. There's one emperor, but twelve kings (same with the months and zodiac signs of the Gregorian calendar), and 88 archdukedoms (classified as such in 1933 after the announcement of the 88th constellation in the night sky) -- with their royal regents respectively. However, the populace elects the members of their House of Lords (Adunarimperiidomus Dominorum - AIDD) -- members like the lords (princes, princesses, dukes, duchesses, etc), the clergy (popes, bishops, cardinals, etc), and officials (presidents, mayors, prime ministers, generals, etc). The emperor and his wife have almost unlimited say in matters but as ancient tradition states, they must always be mindful of their advisors and their people. So votes and the IDD can persuade them with relative ease. If there's a stalemate, an extension of the ancient traditions is applied (e.g. a contest, duel, assignment). In addition, each official and royal is chosen/elected by the eight crowned virtues (Octocorovirtutae): experience, purity, blood, courage, honesty, confidence, intelligence, and education.

Most of the government consists of the Youth, people who are between the ages of 18 (and rarely as young as 16) and 30; these are people who are not only in the prime of their biological lives but also the prime of their geopolitical lives since they are also the group most often involved in wars and politics. Therefore they are also advised by their elders before them.

When the emperor (or any other high royal) is dead, gravely ill, or pre-occupied, their royal spouses regent take their place until either the former recovers, returns, or is replaced.

Like do you want an answer to the question "what is your government classification?"

Based on what is provided, it is officially an "Autocratic/Absolute Empire" in the vein of Tsarist Russia but in practice it's a "Federated Oligarchic Monarchy/Empire", not unlike that of the RL German Empire.

How close are these designations to what in your mind? I feel that those designations are from the outside looking in, and that some nuances specific to your culture or context is lost in translation.

It's in Forum 7, but allowing them to rate your factbook and rating others should help you get a clearer picture on what you want to put in.

Hello! I've got an effortpost I've been working on for some time and was wondering if there was someone I could send it to so I can be sure it makes sense both IC and OOC. I intend for this questionnaire to both introduce my corporation as a whole and give a bit of a questionnaire to try and spark future RPs. Apologies in advance if this isn't the right place for such a question.
