I often use Pinterest when looking for concept art and pictures for characters and places that fit a certain style or period that I'm looking for. It draws pictures from all across the internet and people tag them with the relevant search phrases so it makes it really easy to really find what you're looking for, or at least something close to it. It's also really helpful because it often links you to the original, so you can give proper credit to the artists/photographers etc.

Well done with the concept. It really looks like a modern day, post-apocalyptic Rome.

I recommend at least one of the following: Political Parties page, Leaders page, Expansion of the map and overview. You leave the reader wanting to see a bit more than what's available.

It looks like you used Mapchart for the map.

If possible, try turning borders "off" for the map. It makes the map look a lot more clean, in my opinion.

If you wanted to go above and beyond, I would recommend fleshing out your history or society.

So, I made a factbook on the creatures of my world. Should I put subtypes of creatures (elder dragons, Russian vampires, etc) in the same spoiler as their regular brethren or put them in a separate spoiler?

So, I made a factbook on the creatures of my world. Should I put subtypes of creatures (elder dragons, Russian vampires, etc) in the same spoiler as their regular brethren or put them in a separate spoiler?

Of course, if its a subtype of the creature than have a subheading in the same spoiler. It'll be more convenient for readers since they are only subspecies, so closely linked to the main species, and not an entirely different creature which would otherwise warrant a whole new section dedicated to them.

Should I replace the factbook with one that acts as a full and OOC index, change the URL to a more proper and complete index dispatch, or to keep it as it is and improve it? If I should do the latter, then what are the flaws that you could see?

P.S.: Just for clarification and quelling my own perfectionism, I want that factbook to be the sole factbook for my nation.

Admittedly I'm curious as to why you link from a Factbook page in order to go to a Dispatch for the actual factbook (I'm assuming it's something to do with formatting options? I haven't messed around much with the Factbook/Dispatch feature gameside) when you could just have it all neatly together in one, but regardless of that I find the idea you've got going here quite fun, and it serves as a nice quirky introduction; as a general rule of thumb though when you're narrating the actions of the person reading, it's best not to say what they're thinking or saying in response to things (allow them to imagine that themselves!), because that can sometimes put readers off. It also probably goes on for a bit longer than it needs to, and from a quick cursory glance there's some confusion in tenses and word order (e.g. "You faced towards the door of your office..." could just be "You look over at the door.").

The other thing about it all being in separate dispatches aside from being solely within the Factbook is that it means I have to dig through all of your Dispatches (since your links currently aren't working) in order to find your pages. Also, I think you're categorising them wrong: You're putting them in Meta/Gameplay, which is purely for gameside stuff (like raiding/defending and other non-roleplay related things) as opposed to IC or even OOC roleplay stuff.

Whether you want to keep the semi-IC start or not is completely up to you; I think it's a nice touch, but could as I said be a lot shorter and also probably include an OOC note from you to introduce the factbook.

I wanted to have a differently styled Factbook to (1) give a sense of originality to the page, (2) for the funsies, and (3) to give myself a visible reason as to why and how others' characters manage to get through my IC censorship & security measures. I like to write honestly which more often than not meant writing in the lens of the omniscient author instead of the characters, and more than once I've applied an IC Orwellian Retcon to my factbooks to my (now late) prior nations because some people mistook the OOC parts for IC much to my own consternation. Frankly, this is the primary reason why I took a year long hiatus from NS before rejoining.

In RP and story writing, I like playing the role of a secretive guile villain, like assassins or criminal kingpins or Alpha Legionnaires, with a slice of Bond-ness instead of a honest hardworker (even though it runs counter to most of my own values) and I plan to show it with Atahyksori as the medium. Lying is the name of the game, and if I make different Dispatches for the nation's masquerade and true face I'll be stuck here for months. This way, I don't have to worry about people denouncing my characters for sins that should've been under wraps all along and knowing things that they really shouldn't, because they already know two-thirds of the truth and there's very little my characters can do about it (being completely blindsided and all).

On your opinion of the Factbook's reader's perspective, well, about the only piece of literature I've gotten on reader perspective was NieR to Death, so the Factbook was designed the way how I interpret that fanfiction. As for the word structure and confusion in tenses, that's because I'm not a native English speaker (trust me, if you heard a line in English from me, you'll recognize the difference immediately) and any English word I use either came from Google, novels or American TV shows. I appreciate the suggestions you've given though.

Yeah, that categorization wasn't at all a mistake: I didn't want random people looking in at my IC info-to-be so I put them all in Meta, and left most of the links incomplete. I know that sounds somewhat illogical, but I can't convince myself otherwise. Hm, perhaps I should make the names sound weird to do pretty much the same thing while filing them under the proper category, given that it worked thus far... or should I just tag "WIP Please Don't Read?" on them?

Yeah, I think I'll keep the semi-IC start, and replace the URL with a proper index.
