Evergar wrote:Native Evergarian society does not regard LGBTQ+ as a legitimate classification for human beings. It is viewed rather as a political ideology and movement and one unwelcome and unwanted in the country.
Individuals claiming to be transgender are viewed as extremely mentally ill, suffering from gender dysphoria. Because of this, they face enormous repression, ostracism, and difficulties even finding a job. They may be sent forcibly to live inside public-funded madhouses or in concentration camps isolated from the rest of society, oftentimes for life. Others may end up renouncing citizenship and moving to another country.
Furthermore, homosexuality remains a felonious crime. Punishments for being found guilty of homosexual activity include forcible submission to a psychological evaluation all the way to execution by the state. Open homosexuals also face regular marginalization, discrimination, and persecution by both private citizens and the government, which are all not illegal. They also are barred from holding many jobs, such as in the military.
So what do the people in the country think of LGBTQ+ individuals in power?
Unacceptable, alarming, full of disapproval, and met with harsh criticism.

Straumrike wrote:Straumrike has historically not discriminated against homosexual people. In it's history it was normal for people, regardless of sex or gender, to encounter sexual encounters with both genders. Even when a christian minority grew from the Middle Ages onward, most christians saw it as normal behaviour. From the Middle Ages onward when Norway took controll of the archipelago homosexuality was illegalised, although this was very unpopular among most Straumrikers and it was never enforced in the territory. When Straumrike was democritized in 1957 the new regime enacted reforms, such as being the first nation to legalize same-sex marriage in 1959 through referendum (although same-sex marriage was regularely performed in its history, but not recognized by the Norwegian rulers). In 1960 same-sex parents were allowed to adopt children and allowed to serve in the military openly, with other sweeping reforms in the years to come, all through referenda. Straumrike's current prime minister Bjøøn Týptál is homosexual. Persecution of LGBTQ people in Straumrike is rare, but exists from extreme fascists and a tiny minority of christians and other religious people. Transgenderism was first recognized in the Third Commonwealth (1957 - Current) in 1979 and many reforms were passed through referenda to increase the rights of transgender citizens. Transgenderism was not present in the same way that homosexuality was in its history, but it did exist and although not recognized by the Norwegian rulers, Straumrikers accepted people changing gender very often.

Our Head of state is Emperor Karl II and he is bisexual and married to one wife Empress-Consort Francesca, and four husbands, the imperial consorts, some call them emperor consorts or archdukes. They hold no official status beyond being married to the monarch and head of state. Polygamy is actually normal for monarchs nowadays, many on the state level practice, usually with one of a different gender and four of the same gender, unless they are heterosexual, though exclusively homosexual monarchs tended to be unmarried or have five husbands if male or five wives if female.
Head of Government, the Federal Chancellor, is Dr Katherina Bierlein, and she's a trans lesbian with multiple wives and partners too.
We our proud that our government truly reflects the people it governs, we are a representative democracy that truly does the represent all of the needs of the people of the realm.
Most Auzkhians see homosexuality, bisexuality, pansexuality, asexuality, being transgender and or non-binary, queerness, etc as being normal as being heterosexual and/or cisgender. Auzkhia is thought to be the birthplace of the modern LGBTQIA community in our universe. We led the world in gender and sexual exploration. In some cases, we think that some LGBTQIA people are more worthy of power because of their charisma and community. In our religion, many religious leaders are LGBTQ+ but often had done it in relative secrecy and did identify as anything, but saw it as just duty, though some people used to believe that heterosexual couples were better suited for the public eye due to family and prioritizing reproductive sex, especially after times of war, death, and plagues.
With our new and improving lives, we can see the value in the diversity of everycreature, we celebrate this and embrace a cosmopolitan open and free society that lets self expression, love, peace, and community and friendship flourish. Almost all people support this, as this is what democracy looks like.
Gandoor wrote:It's perfectly accepted and not considered particularly abnormal in our nation. After all, three of our Prime Ministers have been part of the LGBT+ community, including our current one; there have been many members of the Forum who are LGBT+; cabinet members; etc., so it'd be a bit strange if we thought it as something wrong. Our nation is well-known for its acceptance of the LGBT+ community and this is just one of those examples.
