Are there Socialist sympathies in your government?: There is a faction within the Pirate Party known as the Scurvy Socialists, which are more radical and far left compared to the center left politics of the Pirate Party. The Scurvy Socialists are not a political party of themselves, but they sympathize with far left political movements more than the mainstream party. Out of the 1,022 members in the RRC, 141 of them are scurvy socialists. In Parliament, that number is 204 of the 1,057 and with Congress, the number is a minor 7 of the 64 seats that the Pirate Party has in the upper house.

Are there Communist sympathies from your people?: Yes, with a religion known as Communist Catholicism blending ideas of Marx,Lenin and Stalin as immortal deities and rejecting the atheist beliefs of many of the "restorationist" branches of communism. Fredrick Engels and Karl Marx are seen in a like similar to Noah or Moses, leading their peoples on the "Revolutionary Ark" and leading the workers out of the desert after a 40 year march throughout Europe. They despise rich people as the devils and emphasis sharing wealth, compassion and the murder of the bourgeois to lead to socialist heaven for all followers of the religion. As of 2018, the religion's followers number in almost 560 million people in Carriebean.

However, there is an outright disdain for the CRA's branch of communism, known as Carriebeanian-Revolutionary Communism, sort of like Trotskyism and Stalinism if they decided to combine the two ideologies on a few notes. Revolutionary Communism pushes for the expansion of communism akin to the CRC's tune of puppet governments and regimes, in essence attempting to one up the former mentor, the Soviet Union from the 1960s until the CRA's collapse in the 1990s. However, it rejects the need for a politburo, instead opting for communism via military rule and an oligarchical structure of governance, as a Stratocratic Carriebeanian-Revolutionary Communism military Junta. Local political power was handed down to various military officials that were elected by the people as representatives. It also was trapped in a social class of Veterans compared to Recruits, with Veterans essentially standing in for the hated upper classes that were frequently seen as corrupt and nepotistic, problems which still plague Carriebean in the form of many political scandals yearly varying on president.

For instance, large corporations are nationalized yet small businesses are relatively untouched. Property rights are respected. Trade Unions are outlawed, instead, workers are regulated via an organisation that oversees the national compulsory service of all eligible young males and females. A market certainly still exist, which is subsidized by the state. Importantly, public services are not owned by the state but they do own the means of production. To indulge in Marxist ideology would be to destroy our proven, functioning system.
