what is the main purpose of sentencing?: To eliminate traitors and discourage others from becoming traitors themselves.

what are the other purposes of sentencing: None.
what do the public think of judges: They're something foreigners have.
what do the public think of police officers: Cops are traitors to the Decepticon Way by definition, so it is good that they're banned here. (Traitors are found by Domestic Intelligence.)
what do the public think of correctional staff etc.: We do not try to "correct" those who violate our treason laws. We DELETE them. Therefore, we have no correctional facilities.

The public is quite opposed to the concept of putting people in jail or prison, believing that enemies of the Nation or its Way deserve no money or resources being spent on them beyond what it takes to eradicate them.

what punishments are considered unacceptable by the state: Torture, unless it is part of the meltdown process (the worst traitors are lowered painfully slowly into the smelting pit, while normal ones are dropped in all at once. The latter is the most humane method, with processor shutdown from overheating - and therefore, unconsciousness - coming within seconds.)

which ones are considered unacceptable by the people: None. Our people can be far more creative, and sometimes much more cruel, if they have a chance to form a lynch mob and delete or seriously harm the traitor themselves. Dismantling, putting the target's mind-boards into an oversized Atari 2600 body, and beating to death (with our hydraulically-powered fists) are all common lynch-mob methods. Which method is chosen often relates to the offense.

Note: All intended methods are subject to being dumped if the target opens fire, whether it is the military coming for them or a rage-fueled mob. Opening fire starts a battle to the death. This is extremely common, so if the government goes after someone, it will send a military squad. Mobs tend to try to surprise their targets if they want to do more to them than simply overwhelm them with superior firepower.

does religion have an influence?: Very slightly. "Do not allow a traitor to live" is the only guidance on the subject that is enshrined into Megatronism.

what is the main purpose of sentencing?: Other nations sentance people to frighten everyone into being 'normal' - (meaning to be willingly exploited for ones labour, get oneself into debt with univerisity and a mortgag, form a 'normal' family, then become a nuisance to society and forgotten about in many respects) I think??

what are the other purposes of sentencing: We don't sentance anyone and have no judiciary
what do the public think of judges: Overpaid players of god (but they arent scared as all practising judges live in other nations and there is not a judge in the land that can sentance a Matthewstownvillean - when in Matthewstownville anyway)
what do the public think of police officers: We dont fund that sort of thing so they are mostly volunteers (on occasion vigilantes) so are kind and people love them - but we all love everyone here..
what do the public think of correctional staff etc.: Oh no we don't like those...
what punishments are considered unnacceptable by the state: Incarceration, impingement on freedoms***, death - We only really punish peadophiles who must dye their hair orange and green, take anti libido drugs and stay in designated areas. - otherwise we sort our own differences out not really a government issue....
which ones are considered unnacceptable by the people: They agree with the government, except for convicted peadophiles, who sometimes have the odd complaint
does religion have an influence?: Who?
