PROCEDURES FOR PRESENTING OF CREDENTIALS BY AN AMBASSADOR IN HELEVENTIA

1. Ambassadors Taking up Appointment in Mizialand

A new Ambassador will be met on arrival in Heleventia by a Protocol Officer, provided that the date and hour of arrival have been notified to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance and that the Ambassador arrives by air, sea or train within the period from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.. If the Ambassador is travelling by road, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will facilitate Ambassador’s entry into Mizialand by informing the frontier authorities of his/her arrival, provided that the date and hour of his/her passage of the frontier have been notified to the Ministry well in advance. From Heleventia, a helicopter will be arranged to take the Ambassador to HRH Queen Sophie VIncent's Royal Palace in Euskania where the letter of credence will be presented. After the ceremony the Ambassador will be taken back to the Embassy in Heleventia

2. Calls at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On the Ambassador’s arrival in Heleventia the State Protocol Department will arrange a call at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as soon as possible to present a copy of the above Letter of Credence and also, if necessary, a copy of the predecessors Letter of Recall to the Chief of Protocol. The Chief of Protocol introduces to the Ambassador the ceremony of the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3. Presentation of Credentials

The following ceremony is prescribed for the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3.1. At the appointed date and hour, the Protocol Officer calls on the Ambassador at the Embassy or at the Ambassador’s residence. A non-residing Ambassador is sent for at his/her hotel. The Ambassador is transported in a limousine , bearing the flag of the Ambassador’s country, to Heleventia Airport and then by a helicopter to the grounds of the Queen's Palace in Euskania. After exiting from the helicopter, the Ambassador will enter in another limousine.

3.2. The Ambassador may be accompanied by spouse and one member of the Embassy’s diplomatic staff.

3.3. A Guard of Honour accompanied by the military orchestra waits in the courtyard of the Queen's Palace . The limousine stops in front of the
Office of the Queen and the Ambassador, greeted by the Chief of Protocol, proceeds directly onto the carpet.

3.4. The Commander of the Guard of Honour reports to the Ambassador. The Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The military orchestra plays the National Anthem of the country represented by the Ambassador and that of the Kingdom of Mizialand.

3.5. The Ambassador, accompanied on his/her right by the Chief of Protocol and followed by the Commander of the Guard of Honour, proceeds to inspect the Guard of Honour. The Ambassador makes a short stop in front of the flag and bows to the flag. After the inspection, the Commander salutes the Ambassador, the Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The Ambassador proceeds towards the Office of the Queen and followed by the accompanying delegation enters the Office of the Queen.

3.6 The Ambassador and the delegation are received by the Aide-de-Camp to HRH Sophie Vincent introduced by the Chief of Protocol. The delegation is lead from the vestibule up the steps to the foyer. The Ambassador and the delegation are introduced to the officials of the Office of the Queen and asked to enter the Ambassadors Hall.

3.7. The Ambassador faces the entrance of the Queen’s Office. The accompanying diplomat and/or spouse are standing behind the Ambassador at his/her left.

3.8 HRH Sophie Vincent together with a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs enters the Ambassador’s Hall from the Queen’s Office.

3.9 The Chief of Protocol introduces the Ambassador to HRH Sophie Vincent by saying in French, Dutch and German : “Your Royal Highness, Sole Ruler of the Kingdom of Mizialand, Your Royal Majesty, I have the honour to present to you the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to be accredited from Diarcesia, Ambassador H.R.H. Chastity Gwenivere Orus”.

3.10. After the introduction, the Chief of Protocol will signal the Ambassador requesting him/her to introduce himself/herself to the Queen saying: „Your Royal Highness, I have the honour to present to you ……{mentioning the Letter of Credence} appointing me as Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the … to the Kingdom of Mizialand, {and in case if there is one - the letter of recall of Ambassador’s predecessor}. Let me also express {regards/greetings of the Head of State of Ambassador, f. ex. „the
warmest greetings and sincere regards of my president“}.“

3.11 The Ambassador walks up to the Queen and hands over the his/her Letter of Credence and in the relevant case also the Letter of Recall of the predecessor.

3.12 Official photos of the Ambassador and the Queen are taken.

3.13 The Ambassador introduces his/her spouse and accompanying diplomat(s) to the Queen.

3.14. The Queen invites the Ambassador and entourage into his office for an audience.

3.15. After the audience the Ambassador and his/her entourage enter the Ambassadors Hall and the Ambassador signs the Queen’s Guestbook.

3.16. The Ambassador will be seated in the limousine waiting outside the Office of the Queen. The Ambassador will be accompanied
by the Chief of Protocol or Protocol Officer while the members of the Embassy enter the other car(s).

From the Desk of Ludovico Di Canossa, Chancellor of Foreign Nations;

Addressed to Renée Lépicier, Minister of Lorecia and Foreign Affairs; Dear Sir,

I’d like to set aside the first portion of this missive to tell you what I admire about your nation. I do this not out of an amateurish attempt at flattery, but because I think beginning this way will make the rest of the missive make a lot more sense. I shall enumerate, sir:

1: In a world of monarchs, statesmen, bureaucrats, and autocrats all clinging desperately to the reins of power, here is a monarch in Mizialand, Her Royal Highness Sophie, who willingly gave it up for the betterment of her people. That takes intellectual and moral fortitude rarely found among society’s elite.

2: That the transition from iron-fisted monarchy to constitutional rule could occur peacefully speaks volumes as to the resolve and temperament of Her people. The Most Serene Republic’s own transition from Kingdom to our current system, which I insist is democratic, was quite bloody. I myself am in possession of the sword in my foyer that one of my great ancestors used over a thousand years ago that killed five of our kings in one day during those bloody times. In case you are wondering how this is possible: It was merely a matter of killing the King and his sons in the correct order. While I take pride in our Republican traditions and in youth took pride in their bloody nature, as I have grown in years I feel I would take a great deal more pride if we had achieved these ends peacefully as your people did.

3: The Most Serene Republic is a nation committed to trade and so it goes without saying that we acknowledge and admire that commitment in other nations. By pioneering the Lorecian zone, Mizialand has demonstrated a unique understanding of the importance of trade between nations.

4: Maintaining a multi-lingual, multi-ethnic empire is an impressive feat to say the least. Delmonte has always had a mercantile history and therefore has always been something of a cultural melting pot. So we can recognize these good qualities in our fellow nations and appreciate them.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, I’ll explain myself. The Delmontese, as I’ve said, are traders. We always have been. There has never been a time that the sea did not call to us. We are a young, wind-swept, tan-faced people. Our lips may be cracked by the salt air and our stomach heavy with the fear of danger, but our hearts! Our hearts explode with joy for the sea, for trade, and for embracing people nothing like us in the way that only merchants can. Trade and business are the ultimate respect that we can show one another. Colonization is theft and charity is condescension, but trade is looking a man who is nothing like you in the eye and saying “I respect you! We should do business together!”

That is my hope for our nations. We have a long history of building enclaves off the coast of host nations which are then connected to our expansive trade network. The gist of it is that our gracious hosts lease the Republic an island (preferably uninhabited) off the coast of their nation indefinitely and Delmontese businessmen as well as other nationalities that live in our enclave network (there are many) will settle there. Citizens of the host nation are obviously welcome too if that is your wish.

The Republic will finance the construction of massive port facilities that will break down the cargoes of large container ships from elsewhere in the Delmontese trade network and throw them on smaller ships which will then take them to various ports in your nation.

Mizialand will derive many benefits from this arrangement:

PROCEDURES FOR PRESENTING OF CREDENTIALS BY AN AMBASSADOR IN HELEVENTIA

1. Ambassadors Taking up Appointment in Mizialand

A new Ambassador will be met on arrival in Heleventia by a Protocol Officer, provided that the date and hour of arrival have been notified to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance and that the Ambassador arrives by air, sea or train within the period from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.. If the Ambassador is travelling by road, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will facilitate Ambassador’s entry into Mizialand by informing the frontier authorities of his/her arrival, provided that the date and hour of his/her passage of the frontier have been notified to the Ministry well in advance. From Heleventia, a helicopter will be arranged to take the Ambassador to HRH Queen Sophie VIncent's Royal Palace in Euskania where the letter of credence will be presented. After the ceremony the Ambassador will be taken back to the Embassy in Heleventia

2. Calls at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On the Ambassador’s arrival in Heleventia the State Protocol Department will arrange a call at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as soon as possible to present a copy of the above Letter of Credence and also, if necessary, a copy of the predecessors Letter of Recall to the Chief of Protocol. The Chief of Protocol introduces to the Ambassador the ceremony of the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3. Presentation of Credentials

The following ceremony is prescribed for the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3.1. At the appointed date and hour, the Protocol Officer calls on the Ambassador at the Embassy or at the Ambassador’s residence. A non-residing Ambassador is sent for at his/her hotel. The Ambassador is transported in a limousine , bearing the flag of the Ambassador’s country, to Heleventia Airport and then by a helicopter to the grounds of the Queen's Palace in Euskania. After exiting from the helicopter, the Ambassador will enter in another limousine.

3.2. The Ambassador may be accompanied by spouse and one member of the Embassy’s diplomatic staff.

3.3. A Guard of Honour accompanied by the military orchestra waits in the courtyard of the Queen's Palace . The limousine stops in front of the
Office of the Queen and the Ambassador, greeted by the Chief of Protocol, proceeds directly onto the carpet.

3.4. The Commander of the Guard of Honour reports to the Ambassador. The Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The military orchestra plays the National Anthem of the country represented by the Ambassador and that of the Kingdom of Mizialand.

3.5. The Ambassador, accompanied on his/her right by the Chief of Protocol and followed by the Commander of the Guard of Honour, proceeds to inspect the Guard of Honour. The Ambassador makes a short stop in front of the flag and bows to the flag. After the inspection, the Commander salutes the Ambassador, the Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The Ambassador proceeds towards the Office of the Queen and followed by the accompanying delegation enters the Office of the Queen.

3.6 The Ambassador and the delegation are received by the Aide-de-Camp to HRH Sophie Vincent introduced by the Chief of Protocol. The delegation is lead from the vestibule up the steps to the foyer. The Ambassador and the delegation are introduced to the officials of the Office of the Queen and asked to enter the Ambassadors Hall.

3.7. The Ambassador faces the entrance of the Queen’s Office. The accompanying diplomat and/or spouse are standing behind the Ambassador at his/her left.

3.8 HRH Sophie Vincent together with a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs enters the Ambassador’s Hall from the Queen’s Office.

PROCEDURES FOR PRESENTING OF CREDENTIALS BY AN AMBASSADOR IN HELEVENTIA

1. Ambassadors Taking up Appointment in Mizialand

A new Ambassador will be met on arrival in Heleventia by a Protocol Officer, provided that the date and hour of arrival have been notified to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance and that the Ambassador arrives by air, sea or train within the period from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.. If the Ambassador is travelling by road, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will facilitate Ambassador’s entry into Mizialand by informing the frontier authorities of his/her arrival, provided that the date and hour of his/her passage of the frontier have been notified to the Ministry well in advance. From Heleventia, a helicopter will be arranged to take the Ambassador to HRH Queen Sophie VIncent's Royal Palace in Euskania where the letter of credence will be presented. After the ceremony the Ambassador will be taken back to the Embassy in Heleventia

2. Calls at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On the Ambassador’s arrival in Heleventia the State Protocol Department will arrange a call at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as soon as possible to present a copy of the above Letter of Credence and also, if necessary, a copy of the predecessors Letter of Recall to the Chief of Protocol. The Chief of Protocol introduces to the Ambassador the ceremony of the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3. Presentation of Credentials

The following ceremony is prescribed for the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3.1. At the appointed date and hour, the Protocol Officer calls on the Ambassador at the Embassy or at the Ambassador’s residence. A non-residing Ambassador is sent for at his/her hotel. The Ambassador is transported in a limousine , bearing the flag of the Ambassador’s country, to Heleventia Airport and then by a helicopter to the grounds of the Queen's Palace in Euskania. After exiting from the helicopter, the Ambassador will enter in another limousine.

3.2. The Ambassador may be accompanied by spouse and one member of the Embassy’s diplomatic staff.

3.3. A Guard of Honour accompanied by the military orchestra waits in the courtyard of the Queen's Palace . The limousine stops in front of the
Office of the Queen and the Ambassador, greeted by the Chief of Protocol, proceeds directly onto the carpet.

3.4. The Commander of the Guard of Honour reports to the Ambassador. The Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The military orchestra plays the National Anthem of the country represented by the Ambassador and that of the Kingdom of Mizialand.

3.5. The Ambassador, accompanied on his/her right by the Chief of Protocol and followed by the Commander of the Guard of Honour, proceeds to inspect the Guard of Honour. The Ambassador makes a short stop in front of the flag and bows to the flag. After the inspection, the Commander salutes the Ambassador, the Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The Ambassador proceeds towards the Office of the Queen and followed by the accompanying delegation enters the Office of the Queen.

3.6 The Ambassador and the delegation are received by the Aide-de-Camp to HRH Sophie Vincent introduced by the Chief of Protocol. The delegation is lead from the vestibule up the steps to the foyer. The Ambassador and the delegation are introduced to the officials of the Office of the Queen and asked to enter the Ambassadors Hall.

3.7. The Ambassador faces the entrance of the Queen’s Office. The accompanying diplomat and/or spouse are standing behind the Ambassador at his/her left.

3.8 HRH Sophie Vincent together with a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs enters the Ambassador’s Hall from the Queen’s Office.

3.9 The Chief of Protocol introduces the Ambassador to HRH Sophie Vincent by saying in French, Dutch and German : “Your Royal Highness, Sole Ruler of the Kingdom of Mizialand, Your Royal Majesty, I have the honour to present to you the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to be accredited from Jershaland, Ambassador H.E. Erick Bill Ashton Barsa.

3.10. After the introduction, the Chief of Protocol will signal the Ambassador requesting him/her to introduce himself/herself to the Queen saying: „Your Royal Highness, I have the honour to present to you ……{mentioning the Letter of Credence} appointing me as Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the … to the Kingdom of Mizialand, {and in case if there is one - the letter of recall of Ambassador’s predecessor}. Let me also express {regards/greetings of the Head of State of Ambassador, f. ex. „the
warmest greetings and sincere regards of my president“}.“

3.11 The Ambassador walks up to the Queen and hands over the his/her Letter of Credence and in the relevant case also the Letter of Recall of the predecessor.

3.12 Official photos of the Ambassador and the Queen are taken.

3.13 The Ambassador introduces his/her spouse and accompanying diplomat(s) to the Queen.

3.14. The Queen invites the Ambassador and entourage into his office for an audience.

3.15. After the audience the Ambassador and his/her entourage enter the Ambassadors Hall and the Ambassador signs the Queen’s Guestbook.

3.16. The Ambassador will be seated in the limousine waiting outside the Office of the Queen. The Ambassador will be accompanied
by the Chief of Protocol or Protocol Officer while the members of the Embassy enter the other car(s).
