Welcome to this portal for opening up a diplomatic mission in the Kingdom - I am Romi Schatz, representing our blessed nation of Mizialand as the 61st Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Mizialand. Mizialand is a nation located in Western Astyria with a population of approximately 28 million. Comprising three different cultural and linguistic groups, the Kingdom prides itself as one of the youngest democracy of the world. Our humblest Queen Sophie Vincent throughout the year 2015 and 2016 decided to usher in a new era of civic liberties by converting a 104 year old absolute monarchy into a constitutional one. Please take time to visit our factbook if you wish to know more about our nation.

The aims of this Ministry continue to be the same as they have been in the past - expansion of the Kingdom's diplomatic ties, facilitation of multilateral ties between the Kingdom and her allies, integration of the Kingdom into Lorecia and provision of consular services to Mizia citizens abroad.

It is a fact well acknowledged that in the modern era total or even partial isolation is no less than cyanide for a country. The world has become a large global village with demarcated boundaries being broken down informally and thereby bringing all citizens of different nations closer to each other. The interdependence and symbiosis has between nations has become completely necessary as no country can survive in isolation. With this view in mind, the leader of the Kingdom, Her Royal Highness Sophie Vincent invites all recipients of this letter to formalise diplomatic ties with the Kingdom and welcome with open arms the diplomatic missions of all nations, from dictatorships to democracy; monarchies to republics to Mizialand.

Inter-regional relations are of paramount importance, especially when Mizia economy is integrated and interlinked with that of Astyria, particularly Lorecia. For the purpose thereof, the Ministry encourages all Astyrian nations to send diplomatic missions to the Kingdom, the reciprocation of which is well anticipated. I further stress upon the point the Kingdom, as it has made in the past, will continue to make assiduous efforts for its integration into the region.

I hope that Mizialand is able to form warm, cordial, positive, and everlasting relations with all nations of the world.

IMMIGRATION

Getting In

Border controls have been abolished among all member nations of the Lorecian Community; the Kingdom being a part of which, does not require passports from such citizens for visit of any purpose. However, there may be on spot custom checks and therefore, such citizens are expected to carry a photo id. Citizens of these countries only need an identity card for stay of any length. They have the right to work and live in Mizialand and become citizens of Mizialand provided they satisfy the necessary conditions.

Furthermore, the documentary requirements for visit(s) for any purpose by citizens of other countries are determined by the policy of the LC.

Residence

For citizens of nations not in the Lorecian Community, permanent residence policy is decided by individual commune. Please contact the Communal Council of the Commune where you wish to reside for more information.

Each location is provided with the following basic facilities:

Air conditioned offices with central heating system;
Reserved space for parking;
Sufficient number of rooms to allocate for security, diplomatic and service staffs.

Rabindra Sarani

This is the central street in the Primary Diplomatic Area of Helevetia (the other being Rue de Sophie). 40 plots are being offered. Each embassy has an area of 2145 m².

This lane is in proximity to the former Royal Palace and the Parliament. Earlier known as Rue de Shakespeare, in 2019 its name was changed to 'Rabindra Sarani' to honour the Bengali Bard, Rabindra Nath Tagore whose works and collection of songs have greatly impressed Her Royal Highness. This location houses only chanceries, thus arrangement for residence of the staff needs to be made separately.

Earlier known as 'Palias Bagnolet', the Spanish prefix 'Palias' was dropped from the name of this suburb in 2019. Nations that have close relations with Mizialand and similarities to her cultures, ideas and values shall be provided an embassy in one of the chateaux located here. There are 5 chateaux available.

All chateaux have modern services along with private gardens and swimming pool. They have 15 bed rooms and all service staff is provided by Her Majesty's Government. They are fortified and have a combined embassy cum residence for the entire staff.

The embassies follow the principles of 'Mizia Modern Architecture' .

These buildings have been designed by the great architect, Monsieur Le Beau and provided with 24/7 CCTV cameras and enhanced security. Within a walking distance is the Römer Castle, a famous tourist attraction. Residences of the embassy staff shall be situated in the embassy compound itself.

Arembegrenaar

Formerly known as 'Wassenaar', this suburb of Helevntia is one of the richest area in Mizialand. The palace of Her Highness Helen Vincent, the esteemed wife of His Royal Highness Pierre Vincent and second in line to the Mizia throne is located here

An overwhelming majority of this area speaks Dutch as the first language; however the presence of an active international community has led to development of English in this area. The famous Den Bosch Park which hosts many royal ceremonies is situated in the vicinity. This area is directly accessible by Bus no. 48 from Heleventia Gare Central and Highway HN-9A.

Only custom embassies can be set up in this area.

Diplomatic Immunity

In compliance with the Diplomat Protection Act, Mizialand guarantees diplomatic immunity to as specified in the table below. However, if any nation does not guarantee diplomatic immunity to Mizia embassy staff in their countries, Mizialand has the right to do the same. A summary of diplomatic immunity is provided:

Regulations

I. Diplomatic missions are required to respect the Kingdom's principles of fostering mutual brotherhood and maintaining peace and security in the world. The Kingdom encourages that all disputes should be solved through arbitration, compromise, diplomacy and non violence.

II. Her Majesty's Government has the right to expel diplomatic missions without assigning any reasons thereof.

III. All weapons (including tanks, armory, fighter jets, etc) are allowed. They can neither be used to launch a war against Mizialand nor hurt any citizen of the country. Private weapons must be declared and inspected.

IV. Any number of diplomatic, security, services staff are allowed. The embassies may also employ local labour subjected to Her Majesty's Labour Conventions.

V. Mizia employees of diplomatic missions are not granted any immunity.

Regulations for Embassies and Consulates

I. Unless mentioned otherwise, the embassy building and its land is not the property of the guest country. It remains the property of the rightful owner according to the contracts and paperwork agreed upon by the parties involved.

II. However, until vacated by the guest country the territories of the embassies are extra-territorial and under the authority of the said country.

III. As described below four locations are available for setting up diplomatic missions. Unless mentioned otherwise, these locations are not suitable for housing employees - all housing arrangements shall be the responsibility of the guest country. Furthermore, custom plots are only available in Wassenaar. No changes are allowed with the infrastructure in other plots, without prior permission of the owner.

IV. All costs of repairs and additional constructions are to be borne by the guest country.

V. Embassies can only be set up in the national capital Heleventia. Consulates can be set up in St. Louis and/or Dakota. Consulates are to be constructed by the guest nations.

Instructions

I. Covering letters and communiques are not required, though encouraged. You may add your nation's coat of arms and your head of state's signature. For the 'Letter of Credence' Section, you may also present your own letter of credence.

II. For setting up consulates, please mention so in the application. Please mention the location. Consulates may be set up at St. Louis and/or Dakota.

III. A list of available locations is available here.

IV. Any concerns (such as special requests, security concerns, extra security, etc)may be addressed in the form of a communique.

V. Staff and Security details are left to the visiting nation i.e any number of staff and any make and number of weapons are allowed. However it is advised that such number may be decided on the basis of the ties between the visiting nation and the Kingdom as well as the global influence and security concerns of the visiting nation. Furthermore, security arrangements are to be made by the visiting nations. Unless explicitly requested security arrangements beyond what is usual for the area will not be provided by the Kingdom i.e. the security benefits extending to the citizens of Mizialand provided by Her Majesty's civil and military forces will extend to the visiting nation, unless extra security is explicitly requested, which will be provided on a case to case basis.

VI. Please read the 'Important Information' section carefully before filling the application.

VII. While applying for a custom embassy at Wassenar please mention the proposed design details.

VII. Once the Letter of Credence is accepted please ensure that the Ambassador is drilled in the following protocol for the presentation of the said letter

PROCEDURES FOR PRESENTING OF CREDENTIALS BY AN AMBASSADOR IN HELEVENTIA

1. Ambassadors Taking up Appointment in Mizialand

A new Ambassador will be met on arrival in Heleventia by a Protocol Officer, provided that the date and hour of arrival have been notified to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance and that the Ambassador arrives by air, sea or train within the period from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.. If the Ambassador is travelling by road, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will facilitate Ambassador’s entry into Mizialand by informing the frontier authorities of his/her arrival, provided that the date and hour of his/her passage of the frontier have been notified to the Ministry well in advance. From Heleventia, a helicopter will be arranged to take the Ambassador to HRH Queen Sophie VIncent's Royal Palace in Euskania where the letter of credence will be presented. After the ceremony the Ambassador will be taken back to the Embassy in Heleventia

2. Calls at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On the Ambassador’s arrival in Heleventia the State Protocol Department will arrange a call at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as soon as possible to present a copy of the above Letter of Credence and also, if necessary, a copy of the predecessors Letter of Recall to the Chief of Protocol. The Chief of Protocol introduces to the Ambassador the ceremony of the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3. Presentation of Credentials

The following ceremony is prescribed for the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3.1. At the appointed date and hour, the Protocol Officer calls on the Ambassador at the Embassy or at the Ambassador’s residence. A non-residing Ambassador is sent for at his/her hotel. The Ambassador is transported in a limousine , bearing the flag of the Ambassador’s country, to Heleventia Airport and then by a helicopter to the grounds of the Queen's Palace in Euskania. After exiting from the helicopter, the Ambassador will enter in another limousine.

3.2. The Ambassador may be accompanied by spouse and one member of the Embassy’s diplomatic staff.

3.3. A Guard of Honour accompanied by the military orchestra waits in the courtyard of the Queen's Palace . The limousine stops in front of the
Office of the Queen and the Ambassador, greeted by the Chief of Protocol, proceeds directly onto the carpet.

3.4. The Commander of the Guard of Honour reports to the Ambassador. The Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The military orchestra plays the National Anthem of the country represented by the Ambassador and that of the Kingdom of Mizialand.

3.5. The Ambassador, accompanied on his/her right by the Chief of Protocol and followed by the Commander of the Guard of Honour, proceeds to inspect the Guard of Honour. The Ambassador makes a short stop in front of the flag and bows to the flag. After the inspection, the Commander salutes the Ambassador, the Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The Ambassador proceeds towards the Office of the Queen and followed by the accompanying delegation enters the Office of the Queen.

3.6 The Ambassador and the delegation are received by the Aide-de-Camp to HRH Sophie Vincent introduced by the Chief of Protocol. The delegation is lead from the vestibule up the steps to the foyer. The Ambassador and the delegation are introduced to the officials of the Office of the Queen and asked to enter the Ambassadors Hall.

3.7. The Ambassador faces the entrance of the Queen’s Office. The accompanying diplomat and/or spouse are standing behind the Ambassador at
his/her left.

3.8 HRH Sophie Vincent together with a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs enters the Ambassador’s Hall from the Queen’s
Office.

3.9 The Chief of Protocol introduces the Ambassador to HRH Sophie Vincent by saying in French, Dutch and German : “Your Royal Highness, Sole Ruler of the Kingdom of Mizialand, Your Royal Majesty, I have the honour to present to you the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to be accredited from the (name of the country) ………… H.E. (name) ”.

3.10. After the introduction, the Chief of Protocol will signal the Ambassador requesting him/her to introduce himself/herself to the Queen saying: „Your Royal Highness, I have the honour to present to you ……{mentioning the Letter of Credence} appointing me as Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the … to the Kingdom of Mizialand, {and in case if there is one - the letter of recall of Ambassador’s predecessor}. Let me also express {regards/greetings of the Head of State of Ambassador, f. ex. „the
warmest greetings and sincere regards of my president“}.“

3.11 The Ambassador walks up to the Queen and hands over the his/her Letter of Credence and in the relevant case also the Letter of Recall of the predecessor.

3.12 Official photos of the Ambassador and the Queen are taken.

3.13 The Ambassador introduces his/her spouse and accompanying diplomat(s) to the Queen.

3.14. The Queen invites the Ambassador and entourage into his office for an audience.

3.15. After the audience the Ambassador and his/her entourage enter the Ambassadors Hall and the Ambassador signs the Queen’s Guestbook.

3.16. The Ambassador will be seated in the limousine waiting outside the Office of the Queen. The Ambassador will be accompanied
by the Chief of Protocol or Protocol Officer while the members of the Embassy enter the other car(s).

MEET THE MINISTER

Minister of Loreica and Foreign Affairs: Romi Schatz

Ms. Romi Schatz is a member of the SP. She had previously served as the deputy secretary to former Minister of Lorecia and Foreign Affairs Hervé de Charette.

Ms. Schatz holds a degree in law and has served as an advocate for over 20 years at various law firms in Heleventia, St. Louis, and Dakota. According to a former judge she is the "most brilliant and intelligent" lawyer "i've ever come across, though her methods are somewhat...unorthodox". The Mizia Law Review cites Ms. Schatz's methods as an example of how to deal with a hostile judge. She is famously known for her saying "the jury is the judge" and "law is a fact, justice is arbitrary." She was a visiting professor at the University of Heleventia and Dakota.

Ms. Schatz joined the civil services in 2006 when she was appointed in the Foreign Affairs Ministry. She served as the Deputy Secretary to Minister Hervé de Charette till 2014. She is known to be a close advisor of Her Majesty.

In 2016, she joined the SP and was an MP till 2020 when she was appointed as the Minister of Lorecia and Foreign Affairs due to her experience in the field.

She is known for her quirky sense of humour and cheerful attitude. She is married and has two daughters.

The III edition of open letter

I am Léo Schwechlen, the newly appointed Minister of External and Maredoratica Affairs of the Kingdom of Mizialand. Mizialand is a nation located in Western Maredoratica with a population of over 28 million. Comprising three different cultural and linguistic groups, the Kingdom is a progressively tolerant entity which invites nations from all over the world to set up diplomatic missions in the country. With this view in mind, the leader of the Kingdom, Her Royal Highness Sophie Vincent invites all recipients of this letter to formalise diplomatic ties with the Kingdom and welcome with open arms the diplomatic missions of all nations, from dictatorships to democracy; monarchies to republics to Mizialand.

Inter-regional relations are of paramount importance, especially when Mizia economy is integrated and interlinked with that of Maredoratica, particularly Alsina. For the purpose thereof, the Ministry encourages all Maredoratican nations to send diplomatic missions to the Kingdom, the reciprocation of which is well anticipated. I further stress upon the point the Kingdom, as it has made in the past, will continue to make assiduous efforts for its integration into the region. The instances of such efforts are the undergoing process of dismantling nuclear warheads and removal of border controls for nations that are members of the Martigues Agreement.

I hope that Mizialand is able to form warm, cordial and positive relations with all nations of the world that are everlasting.

PROCEDURES FOR PRESENTING OF CREDENTIALS BY AN AMBASSADOR IN HELEVENTIA

1. Ambassadors Taking up Appointment in Mizialand

A new Ambassador will be met on arrival in Heleventia by a Protocol Officer, provided that the date and hour of arrival have been notified to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance and that the Ambassador arrives by air, sea or train within the period from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.. If the Ambassador is travelling by road, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will facilitate Ambassador’s entry into Mizialand by informing the frontier authorities of his/her arrival, provided that the date and hour of his/her passage of the frontier have been notified to the Ministry well in advance. From Heleventia, a helicopter will be arranged to take the Ambassador to HRH Queen Sophie VIncent's Royal Palace in Euskania where the letter of credence will be presented. After the ceremony the Ambassador will be taken back to the Embassy in Heleventia

2. Calls at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On the Ambassador’s arrival in Heleventia the State Protocol Department will arrange a call at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as soon as possible to present a copy of the above Letter of Credence and also, if necessary, a copy of the predecessors Letter of Recall to the Chief of Protocol. The Chief of Protocol introduces to the Ambassador the ceremony of the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3. Presentation of Credentials

The following ceremony is prescribed for the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3.1. At the appointed date and hour, the Protocol Officer calls on the Ambassador at the Embassy or at the Ambassador’s residence. A non-residing Ambassador is sent for at his/her hotel. The Ambassador is transported in a limousine , bearing the flag of the Ambassador’s country, to Heleventia Airport and then by a helicopter to the grounds of the Queen's Palace in Euskania. After exiting from the helicopter, the Ambassador will enter in another limousine.

3.2. The Ambassador may be accompanied by spouse and one member of the Embassy’s diplomatic staff.

3.3. A Guard of Honour accompanied by the military orchestra waits in the courtyard of the Queen's Palace . The limousine stops in front of the
Office of the Queen and the Ambassador, greeted by the Chief of Protocol, proceeds directly onto the carpet.

3.4. The Commander of the Guard of Honour reports to the Ambassador. The Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The military orchestra plays the National Anthem of the country represented by the Ambassador and that of the Kingdom of Mizialand.

3.5. The Ambassador, accompanied on his/her right by the Chief of Protocol and followed by the Commander of the Guard of Honour, proceeds to inspect the Guard of Honour. The Ambassador makes a short stop in front of the flag and bows to the flag. After the inspection, the Commander salutes the Ambassador, the Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The Ambassador proceeds towards the Office of the Queen and followed by the accompanying delegation enters the Office of the Queen.

3.6 The Ambassador and the delegation are received by the Aide-de-Camp to HRH Sophie Vincent introduced by the Chief of Protocol. The delegation is lead from the vestibule up the steps to the foyer. The Ambassador and the delegation are introduced to the officials of the Office of the Queen and asked to enter the Ambassadors Hall.

3.7. The Ambassador faces the entrance of the Queen’s Office. The accompanying diplomat and/or spouse are standing behind the Ambassador at
his/her left.

3.8 HRH Sophie Vincent together with a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs enters the Ambassador’s Hall from the Queen’s
Office.

3.9 The Chief of Protocol introduces the Ambassador to HRH Sophie Vincent by saying in French, Dutch and German : “Your Royal Highness, Sole Ruler of the Kingdom of Mizialand, Your Royal Majesty, I have the honour to present to you the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to be accredited from the The Honorable Commonwealth of Pekweng H.E. Lucio F. del Prado ”.

3.10. After the introduction, the Chief of Protocol will signal the Ambassador requesting him/her to introduce himself/herself to the Queen saying: „Your Royal Highness, I have the honour to present to you ……{mentioning the Letter of Credence} appointing me as Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the … to the Kingdom of Mizialand, {and in case if there is one - the letter of recall of Ambassador’s predecessor}. Let me also express {regards/greetings of the Head of State of Ambassador, f. ex. „the
warmest greetings and sincere regards of my president“}.“

3.11 The Ambassador walks up to the Queen and hands over the his/her Letter of Credence and in the relevant case also the Letter of Recall of the predecessor.

3.12 Official photos of the Ambassador and the Queen are taken.

3.13 The Ambassador introduces his/her spouse and accompanying diplomat(s) to the Queen.

3.14. The Queen invites the Ambassador and entourage into his office for an audience.

3.15. After the audience the Ambassador and his/her entourage enter the Ambassadors Hall and the Ambassador signs the Queen’s Guestbook.

3.16. The Ambassador will be seated in the limousine waiting outside the Office of the Queen. The Ambassador will be accompanied

1. Ambassadors Taking up Appointment in Mizialand

A new Ambassador will be met on arrival in Heleventia by a Protocol Officer, provided that the date and hour of arrival have been notified to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance and that the Ambassador arrives by air, sea or train within the period from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.. If the Ambassador is travelling by road, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will facilitate Ambassador’s entry into Mizialand by informing the frontier authorities of his/her arrival, provided that the date and hour of his/her passage of the frontier have been notified to the Ministry well in advance. From Heleventia, a helicopter will be arranged to take the Ambassador to HRH Queen Sophie VIncent's Royal Palace in Euskania where the letter of credence will be presented. After the ceremony the Ambassador will be taken back to the Embassy in Heleventia

2. Calls at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On the Ambassador’s arrival in Heleventia the State Protocol Department will arrange a call at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as soon as possible to present a copy of the above Letter of Credence and also, if necessary, a copy of the predecessors Letter of Recall to the Chief of Protocol. The Chief of Protocol introduces to the Ambassador the ceremony of the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3. Presentation of Credentials

The following ceremony is prescribed for the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3.1. At the appointed date and hour, the Protocol Officer calls on the Ambassador at the Embassy or at the Ambassador’s residence. A non-residing Ambassador is sent for at his/her hotel. The Ambassador is transported in a limousine , bearing the flag of the Ambassador’s country, to Heleventia Airport and then by a helicopter to the grounds of the Queen's Palace in Euskania. After exiting from the helicopter, the Ambassador will enter in another limousine.

3.2. The Ambassador may be accompanied by spouse and one member of the Embassy’s diplomatic staff.

3.3. A Guard of Honour accompanied by the military orchestra waits in the courtyard of the Queen's Palace . The limousine stops in front of the
Office of the Queen and the Ambassador, greeted by the Chief of Protocol, proceeds directly onto the carpet.

3.4. The Commander of the Guard of Honour reports to the Ambassador. The Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The military orchestra plays the National Anthem of the country represented by the Ambassador and that of the Kingdom of Mizialand.

3.5. The Ambassador, accompanied on his/her right by the Chief of Protocol and followed by the Commander of the Guard of Honour, proceeds to inspect the Guard of Honour. The Ambassador makes a short stop in front of the flag and bows to the flag. After the inspection, the Commander salutes the Ambassador, the Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The Ambassador proceeds towards the Office of the Queen and followed by the accompanying delegation enters the Office of the Queen.

3.6 The Ambassador and the delegation are received by the Aide-de-Camp to HRH Sophie Vincent introduced by the Chief of Protocol. The delegation is lead from the vestibule up the steps to the foyer. The Ambassador and the delegation are introduced to the officials of the Office of the Queen and asked to enter the Ambassadors Hall.

3.7. The Ambassador faces the entrance of the Queen’s Office. The accompanying diplomat and/or spouse are standing behind the Ambassador athis/her left.

3.8 HRH Sophie Vincent together with a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs enters the Ambassador’s Hall from the Queen’s Office.

3.9 The Chief of Protocol introduces the Ambassador to HRH Sophie Vincent by saying in French, Dutch and German : “Your Royal Highness, Sole Ruler of the Kingdom of Mizialand, Your Royal Majesty, I have the honour to present to you the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to be accredited from the The Commonwealth of Hindia Belanda H.E. Madame Dian Wedyodiningrat”.

3.10. After the introduction, the Chief of Protocol will signal the Ambassador requesting him/her to introduce himself/herself to the Queen saying: „Your Royal Highness, I have the honour to present to you ……{mentioning the Letter of Credence} appointing me as Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the … to the Kingdom of Mizialand, {and in case if there is one - the letter of recall of Ambassador’s predecessor}. Let me also express {regards/greetings of the Head of State of Ambassador, f. ex. „the
warmest greetings and sincere regards of my president“}.“

3.11 The Ambassador walks up to the Queen and hands over the his/her Letter of Credence and in the relevant case also the Letter of Recall of the predecessor.

PROCEDURES FOR PRESENTING OF CREDENTIALS BY AN AMBASSADOR IN HELEVENTIA

1. Ambassadors Taking up Appointment in Mizialand

A new Ambassador will be met on arrival in Heleventia by a Protocol Officer, provided that the date and hour of arrival have been notified to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance and that the Ambassador arrives by air, sea or train within the period from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.. If the Ambassador is travelling by road, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will facilitate Ambassador’s entry into Mizialand by informing the frontier authorities of his/her arrival, provided that the date and hour of his/her passage of the frontier have been notified to the Ministry well in advance. From Heleventia, a helicopter will be arranged to take the Ambassador to HRH Queen Sophie VIncent's Royal Palace in Euskania where the letter of credence will be presented. After the ceremony the Ambassador will be taken back to the Embassy in Heleventia

2. Calls at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On the Ambassador’s arrival in Heleventia the State Protocol Department will arrange a call at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as soon as possible to present a copy of the above Letter of Credence and also, if necessary, a copy of the predecessors Letter of Recall to the Chief of Protocol. The Chief of Protocol introduces to the Ambassador the ceremony of the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3. Presentation of Credentials

The following ceremony is prescribed for the presentation of Credentials to HRH Queen Sophie Vincent.

3.1. At the appointed date and hour, the Protocol Officer calls on the Ambassador at the Embassy or at the Ambassador’s residence. A non-residing Ambassador is sent for at his/her hotel. The Ambassador is transported in a limousine , bearing the flag of the Ambassador’s country, to Heleventia Airport and then by a helicopter to the grounds of the Queen's Palace in Euskania. After exiting from the helicopter, the Ambassador will enter in another limousine.

3.2. The Ambassador may be accompanied by spouse and one member of the Embassy’s diplomatic staff.

3.3. A Guard of Honour accompanied by the military orchestra waits in the courtyard of the Queen's Palace . The limousine stops in front of the
Office of the Queen and the Ambassador, greeted by the Chief of Protocol, proceeds directly onto the carpet.

3.4. The Commander of the Guard of Honour reports to the Ambassador. The Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The military orchestra plays the National Anthem of the country represented by the Ambassador and that of the Kingdom of Mizialand.

3.5. The Ambassador, accompanied on his/her right by the Chief of Protocol and followed by the Commander of the Guard of Honour, proceeds to inspect the Guard of Honour. The Ambassador makes a short stop in front of the flag and bows to the flag. After the inspection, the Commander salutes the Ambassador, the Ambassador nods his/her head in response. The Ambassador proceeds towards the Office of the Queen and followed by the accompanying delegation enters the Office of the Queen.

3.6 The Ambassador and the delegation are received by the Aide-de-Camp to HRH Sophie Vincent introduced by the Chief of Protocol. The delegation is lead from the vestibule up the steps to the foyer. The Ambassador and the delegation are introduced to the officials of the Office of the Queen and asked to enter the Ambassadors Hall.

3.7. The Ambassador faces the entrance of the Queen’s Office. The accompanying diplomat and/or spouse are standing behind the Ambassador athis/her left.

3.8 HRH Sophie Vincent together with a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs enters the Ambassador’s Hall from the Queen’s Office.

3.9 The Chief of Protocol introduces the Ambassador to HRH Sophie Vincent by saying in French, Dutch and German : “Your Royal Highness, Sole Ruler of the Kingdom of Mizialand, Your Royal Majesty, I have the honour to present to you the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to be accredited from Yohannes H.E. Ms Gretel Neuhäußer”.

3.10. After the introduction, the Chief of Protocol will signal the Ambassador requesting him/her to introduce himself/herself to the Queen saying: „Your Royal Highness, I have the honour to present to you ……{mentioning the Letter of Credence} appointing me as Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the … to the Kingdom of Mizialand, {and in case if there is one - the letter of recall of Ambassador’s predecessor}. Let me also express {regards/greetings of the Head of State of Ambassador, f. ex. „the
warmest greetings and sincere regards of my president“}.“

3.11 The Ambassador walks up to the Queen and hands over the his/her Letter of Credence and in the relevant case also the Letter of Recall of the predecessor.

3.12 Official photos of the Ambassador and the Queen are taken.

3.13 The Ambassador introduces his/her spouse and accompanying diplomat(s) to the Queen.

3.14. The Queen invites the Ambassador and entourage into his office for an audience.

3.15. After the audience the Ambassador and his/her entourage enter the Ambassadors Hall and the Ambassador signs the Queen’s Guestbook.

3.16. The Ambassador will be seated in the limousine waiting outside the Office of the Queen. The Ambassador will be accompanied
by the Chief of Protocol or Protocol Officer while the members of the Embassy enter the other car(s).
