What's your nation's age of criminal responsibility? That is the age at which children are responsible for their own crimes.

In Osway, the federal age of responsibility is set at 10 years by the constitution. States may set a higher (but not lower) age for state offenses. At present only two states do this. Those between the ages of 10 and 16 are tried in a special Youth Court - there is no jury, but the sentences that can be imposed are lighter.

If your nation has no age of responsibility, put "8 or under", if it depends on the crime then put whatever the lowest age is.

The lowest age is 12. For children between the age of 12 and 16 the court needs to separately prove that the defendant is mentally capable of standing trial (i.e. it is presumed that they cannot). For those aged 16 and above it is assumed they can stand trail unless proved otherwise.

The age of criminal responsibility is technically 16, the age of adulthood. However, anyone under the age of 21 usually receives a sentence reduction, because they are still developing.

Eight years old is deemed the age of criminal responsibility. It is also the youngest age at which a child might receive corporal punishment as a legal penalty, though at a reduced rate and entirely dependent on social class.

There is debate about the validity of this age within the Senate and other circles, and whilst most agree with eight being appropriate, more progressive elements suggest the age of twelve (as well as prohibition of corporal punishment on children altogether). These groups are small however, and not routinely listened to. Whilst children are subject to reduced punishments for crimes, they may be held in a juvenile centre also for as long as deemed necessary to correct behaviour, assuming the criminal act was an act by criminal behaviour, rather than an impulsive one-time action.

The age of adulthood is established in the earliest Ephyral codes as being sixteen for males and females. Half that is considered the age of adolescence, and when children may start taking responsibility for themselves. Therefore many argue that to abide by Ephyral law and tradition, the age of adulthood would have to be raised to twenty-four to accommodate a responsibility age of twelve.

Regardless of crime however, no child, eight or on the day before their sixteenth birthday (sentence is rendered based on the age of the defendant at the time of the crime not at the time of the trial) may be put to death.

For people who commited a crime under the age of majority at moment of the crime the maximum sentence is 12 years and half, instead of maximum sentence of 25 years (we abolished death penality and life imprisonment)

In Thermodolia the federal age of criminal responsibility is 14. All states, districts, and some territories can set their own age of responsibility but it can’t be lower than the federal age of responsibility however it can’t be higher than 20.

The lowest a Republic can set their age of responsibility is 12 and there is no maximum. Commonwealths have no restrictions on age of responsibility.

All other territories, MAZs and Occupied Territories must follow the federal minimum.

At age 21, citizens can be sentenced to a torturous public execution. Any approved method of capital punishment can be used against a felon this age or over.

We don't have one. Their age does not give them an excuse to ever commit a crime. And I know some kids are not intelligent enough at that age to realize the things they do is wrong, but a part of that is due to bad parenting. That is why a parental licencing programs exist in my nation. That is why parents must undergo tests and must be checked on to make sure they are decent enough parents.
