Does your nation have land borders with other nations?
Zitru shares land borders with Alderia, Avantia, Dzukeland and Gerelia.
Is your nation part of any open border agreement?
While the International Border Agreement exists between the majority of countries in mainland Zurope, Zitru is not a part of the agreement.
Who is responsible for guarding your nation’s borders?
The Zitran Border Patrol, the uniformed law enforcement arm of the Zitran Customs and Border Protection (a component of the Department of Homeland Security), is responsible for controlling who and what enters the country.
How strict is the border control out of 10?
The borders of the Federal Republic of Zitru can only be crossed at official checkpoints (for example airports, ports and border crossings on major roads). Vehicles entering the country via road will be subject to inspection and all occupants will be required to present their passports to a customs officer. At airport and port checkpoints, visitors will be required to present their passports and will be subject to biometric security checks (fingerprinting and retinal scans).
What security features do borders have?
Aside from the aforementioned security checks, there are no other security features at border crossings apart from armed officers who patrol the border. There has never been a major issue with illegal aliens attempting to enter the country, so security is relatively lax compared to other countries.

How to get a visa, and how much does it cost?
Prior to travel, foreign nationals who are required to apply for a visa must do so on the Zitran Customs and Border Protection website at least 30 days before they intend to enter the Federal Republic of Zitru. Doing so will grant them an electronic visa, which will come into effect immediately after their application is accepted and will be valid for 6 months of travel plus the 30 day required application period. Alternatively, foreigners can obtain a paper visa at a Zitran embassy.
Are any nationalities or groups exempt from visa requirements?
Citizens of nations that are members of the Zuropean Union and/or are located in Astyria are exempt from visas and are only required to fill out an FTA form prior to entering the Federal Republic of Zitru.
How long are foreigners allowed to stay at a time? Can this be extended?
FTA forms and visas are valid for a 6 month period and cannot be extended except in emergencies.
What happens to people who overstay?
Foreigners who overstay their valid visitation period will be in breach of Federal Law and can face a fine of up to $5,000. This fine must be paid if they wish to return to the Federal Republic of Zitru in the future.
