New Stonen has banned slavery since the creation of the nation, and actively enforces against it, although nobody has actually tried to break this law in several years.

The Aktangian people, which make up a large amount of the non-human population in the Federation and the majority of non-humans in the Federations military practice a form of slavery, with some raiders attacking weaker tribes and take some of their people. The Aktangian culture and traditions house slavery whenever a rival clan have their civilian population captured or when POWs are captured.

The Aktangians will sometimes hire privateers to go out and capture trader ships, attacking weaker tribes and villages, and will join war just to take in slaves. Slaves in Aktangian society are treated with some respect and are given food and water, however in exchange the slaves have to work hard and long hours. But only recently in Aktangian history has slavery become more restricted, with the maximum amount of time a slave can be held for being 5 years. And they only constitute around 1% or less of the Aktangian population.

The Federation however, does not approve of their slavery but cannot do anything about it due to the power the Aktangians have and their influence on the politics of the nation.

Tier 1 Society

Furballland hates slavery to the point that they are now planning to abolish it beyond its borders, and slavery is considered as an absolute violation of human rights, and shall be condemned at all costs, whether they like it or not.

The Thars Empire can be classified as a Tier 6 Society. Though slavery is not officially legal in Thars, the Tharsian people and government subject many people - particularly Earthlings - to conditions strongly resembling slavery. People born on Earth face limited legal protection and widespread systemic discrimination in Tharsian imperial society, experiencing higher rates of poverty, workplace exploitation, police brutality, etc. Additionally, the conditions of the THarsian working poor can be compared to slavery due to the Thars Empire's strongly pro-business nature; in addition to worker exploitation being commonplace and workers' rights being nearly nonexistent, the Tharsian prison system is designed to retain as many prisoners as possible and use them as a form of forced labor in order to maximize the profits of privately-owned prisons. Lastly, as a totalitarian dictatorship, the Thars Empire forces many political dissidents into so-called "Repentance Camps" where it subjects them to forced labor, torture, execution, and a variety of other reprehensible conditions analogous to slavery.

[The Crimson Isles]

Tier 5- Slavery is illegal in the nation and things such as human trafficking & "wage slavery" are heavily looked over and outlawed, however The Crimson Isles has a large Prison Labor system, and there is also a clause that allows the usage of POW labor during wartime.

We are tier 5 we think because while we do have slaves, their wellbeing is a must they must have 3 meals a day with water,they must have proper housing with AC on the hot days and they must get medical care or the slaves will be given to a better owner and you will have a second chance but if you screw that over, then you don't get any slaves

Cause for this are laws that ban direct slavery within European and occupied territories but arent followed with proper entforcement/controlls in occupied territories or the practise of hireing cheap labourers from abroad and withholding papers while declaring them Insane or to metally impairedfor society with a the help of doctors and bribes. Eventhough the European parlament (which is more like Chinas) knows well about what is happening does either nothing or passes laws that help those slave holders to continue and easier hide their practise. Oh and there is a company that sells """""Slaves""""" abroad there are rules to protect those peoples from slavery they just arent entforced or controlled.

the Hispaniolan State is a Tier 6 society, having both large-scale labor camps for dissidents, where political dissidents and common criminals are oftentimes worked to death in brutal conditions, providing free labor for agricultural and resource extraction.

[Ignis Ferreus]

Tier 2 Society Right Now, because human slavery is deeply frowned upon. The Year right now in our timeline is 2028. However, a new global player emerges in the form of ever growing sentient AI. Conflict seems to loom ahead as the nations of the world are divided on whether to see them as sub servants or gran them rights as equals.

Some nations such as the Red Union of the United Front have no such issue, because they are currently banning any robot that resembles sentience due to the primal fear of an eventual takeover. Others such as the Silver Eagle Federation have a pro human stance but the population is fragmented in support and several parts of the nation threaten to secede amongst this and other reasons. The Empire of Ignis Ferreus also maintains a pro human stance, but several rebellious minorities seek to weaken the Empire as it attempts to assert its dominance over the world, spreading the idea of human rule. Stance of other nations across Terra Infecta vary.

The 8th Supreme Master is planning to prevent any nations of the world from recognizing legal status and protection to machines because it would disrupt the harmony of the rule of mankind. In the event of a sentient AI awakening, which nears the future ever so visible on the horizon, depending on whether or not you consider AI to be a sapient being, then the Empire remains either a Tier 2 Society, or a Tier 8/9 civilization. Do note that the ''slaves'' are robots so this is perfectly fine, human protections shall be upheld to the extent granted under our constitution.

We were at one point arguably a Tier 6 Society because we forced communists and other political opponents into work camps, but they all mysteriously ''disappeared'' so now we are back to Tier 2. This was known as the Red Purge. Its an alt version of a certain event in the Earth Proper timeline, but the persecution was based on political affiliation, not race. This intensified during the Second World War, when the Empire of Ignis Ferreus went to war with the communist regime that is the Red Union of the United Front. It can be argued that during all the major world wars, Ignis Ferreus was at certain points a Tier 6, due to the forced labor of POW's but reverted after conflict was over, eventually.

Tier 2 Society, as though there are some who would prefer being a Tier 1 society instead, Free Norfolk City has kept its policy of armed neutrality since independence was achieved in 1868. Slavery has been outlawed since Camtropia was founded; owning slaves is punishable by life imprisonment, and this law is very strictly enforced. However, the military is mostly focused on defending Camtropia from a possible land-based invasion from Blackacre, and lacks the capability to prosecute slavers abroad, making Camtropia a Tier 2 nation.

[Arctic Lands]

Arctic Lands is a Tier 1 Society of the workers. Slavery was outlawed all the way back in 1861 by the Emperor Alexander II. Following centuries of social evolution, we have arrived to the modern-day dictatorship of the proletariat, where the workers live without any shackles and work out of their own accord for the betterment of mankind.

We use our military, economic and cultural power to combat reactionary regimes like capitalism and slavery all over and beyond the globe.

Some might object to this classification, citing the fact that we have large-scale conscription, but such a claim doesn't stand against the truth that this policy was implemented in a democratic manner as a result of a nationwide referendum, and is perpetrated not by an alienated state, but the workers themselves, who train each other in physique and weapons handling for the purposes of securing their power.

[Viviente]

Viviente is a Tier 6 Society,

Slavery is officially decried as a hellish, but natural outcropping of capitalism. The reality in Viviente, of course, is that they have a lot of reactionaries that are 'too dangerous' to leave freed. For whatever reason, they are gaffled up and serve as forced labor for the People's Apocalyptic Vanguard.
