Tier 1. Slavery has not been permitted in Metropolitan France since the middle ages, though it was permitted in the colonies. The Loi sur l'abolition de l'esclavage 1838 (Abolition of Slavery Act) made the trade in slaves illegal in all French imperial territories and emancipated those in bondage under the nation's sovereignty. The Empire is also party to a number of international treaties relating to the suppression of trade in slaves, and one of the Imperial Navy's many duties is the suppression of slaving in both French and international waters.

[The Army of DxD]

The Army of DxD, while less a society and more a "stateless army", is a Tier 2 society, as, while we have the power to go on a crusade against slavery, we have a policy of neutrality in human politics (though we do slightly favour NATO).

The Knights of Umbra may be considered a Tier 1 society. The charter of the order prohibits slavery in all forms, which is enforced in the territories controlled by the knights by application.

Mordka would be a Tier 8 Society because we used slave-labor for all of major businesses, like prostitution.

Tier 9 Society: The society's culture and politics are thoroughly corrupted by long-term oppression. A large proportion of individuals are held in slavery by other sapients. Torture, forced breeding, mass human sacrifice, or other iniquities of this form are common.

Toin is a Tier 2 society. We are a peacekeeping nation and therefore generally do not engage in the affairs of other nations through the military unless our sovereignty is in immediate danger.

We are Tier 1. We just recently totally abolished slavery, but we are not a signatory to that agreement.

Destyntine is a Tier 2 Society. Slavery is completely prohibited within our nation. Slave labor has been outlawed for hundreds of years, and will never make a return. Destyntine does not get involved in foreign affairs, and vice-versa unless they pose a direct threat to the nation. What other countries allow in terms of slavery is none of our business.

Tier 7.5 - slavery is not common, but it isn't rare either. Serfdom is fairly common in the countryside, though a large class of free peasantry exists as well, and most of the large landowners of the countryside employ slaves to work their cash crop plantations

The Republic of Savroyska is a Tier 2: "This society has no slavery in any form. The society's government has no interest in actively eliminating slavery beyond its borders, due to a lack of resources or a peace-seeking foreign policy."

The Russian National Republic is a Tier 5 nation. Slavery is outlawed, but political dissidents, members of "disloyal" ethnic and religious minorities and LGBT individuals are often sentenced to forced labour in Siberian prison camps.

The Greater Aurelian Union is a Tier 1 nation.

Slavery in any form is illegal and is punishable by law in the Union. Those who have made the terrible mistake of comitting this crime and eventually being caught, can face up to forty years in jail or even life imprisonment.
The GAU is also involved in multiple operations abroad to free slaves from their owners, and to have them stand trial for their crimes against humanity.

The Socialist Federation of Saralonia, although officially tier 1 has a problem with Stalinist Cells that bring small remote villages and even some isolated communities to tier 5 due to these terrorists funding part of their effort trough forced labour, the Saralonian government is trying it's best to end once for all the Stalinist treath but they manage to either evade capture or scape when captured.

[Grand Autocracy of Atlantis]

The Empire of Atlantea is a Tier 2 society, slavery, and other forms of involuntary servitude were in 1889 formally abolished, with the imperial government at the time going to great lengths to put this abolition in place throughout the provinces. But the Empire doesn't concern itself with slavery in other states, either because of it not finding a right to intervene or more simply, it doesn't wish to waste resources on matters abroad when they could be spent on the Empire itself.

The democratic republic of Pleau has a level 1, we try as best we can to stop slavery in neighboring countries, slavery is completely prohibited since the creation of the country, any person putting a person in slavery, the responsible will have the death penalty and the ex-slave will have refunds.
