The Fluxed Cross is the official name of our flag, which was heavily inspired by the flag of the Redstone Empire. The different elements represented are:

The purple cross: This was taken from the Redstone cross, and originally represented a territorial marker. It's red because it's called the Redstone Empire. It's now purple to represent fliumen, which is purple.

The purple powder: This came with the cross, and was once red, symbolising the redstone dust that gave the Redstone Empire its name.

The yellow outline: Originally white in the Redstone Empire flag, this used to be the background, then the cantons became coloured (more on them later). It was changed to yellow to represent our origins in the Dos Desert.

The red cantons: When the Redstone Empire absorbed the Second Mazauran Empire, the cantons were coloured purple to represent them (purple is a lot more common in Masaura). Later during the Redstonian Revolution the Darvinians and Trenfans wanted representation on the flag, so the bottom left canton was coloured blue for Darvinia, and the top left canton was coloured black for Trenfa. When Hacmet was added, the top right canton became green. In the Auto-Red flag, they are red to symbolising our origins from within the Redstone Empire.

The fractal pattern: This is an Auto-Red innovation, representing the fractal nature of the Flux Empire. There's no special meaning given to the exact pattern.

[The Second Verhaus Regime]

The background flag is the official colours of House Duor, the former dynastic monarchy from the feudal days that ruled most of the central region of Dwarce.

The three stripes of variating shades of red symbolise as follows, from darkest to brightest (lowest to highest in case you have issue telling them apart):

• Blood - Sometimes referred to as War or Strength. Pretty self-explanatory as the old Brandters were fond of martial traditions and violence.
• Honour - Referring to chivalry and adherence to tradition as well as honouring superiority and recognising your limits.
• Power - Though confused with Strength, power in the old Dwarcian sense means not the ability to enforce change, but to hold onto it against any and all opposition, Therefore it is most commonly translated as meaning Defense or Resilience.

But the black eagle crest is a recent addition, added with the foundation of the First Verhaus Regime.
Eponymously named "The Headless Saker", the crest symbolises the loss of their traditional rule through feudalry. Many simplify its meaning as having forcefully lost their old ways and leadership but perservere and prosper regardless.

Golden backdrop: A treasure reclaimed for a long-suffering people; the original Asha-Wang refugees who would become the Exodian people had found their past wealth in a new land- literally and figuratively, as a high amount of gold was found in the southern mountains. Could also represent the color of a sunrise.

Silver moon: The Democratic Exodian Territories was declared independent at midnight. Silver represents a pure-hearted people.
Blue waves/Green palm: The Gulf of Mexico’s warm waters and tropical soil, God’s gifts of the archipelago’s location.

Black rifle: Courage and skill in the face of chaos, and a thirst to bring about freedom and peace through all odds. The most produced weapon of the Asha-Wang Democratic Liberation Front, the Armalite is meant as a direct contrast to the Kalashnikovs displayed by most insurgent/terrorist groups- preferring quality, honor, and innovation, even while the brute muscle and savage conduct of the other is tempting.

Black star: Permanent sovereignty, independence, and free will of a nation who dares to stand alone. Can work with the golden backdrop to stand for anarcho-capitalism and the Exodian free market.

Red hand: Power of the people- strength, diversity, unity, and liberty. Representing all citizens- the native Exodians, Asha-Wang refugees, and the high amount of immigrants; from the most successful entrepreneur to the common worker. The symbol of humanity also stands for a man’s unalienable rights, and the freedom for any citizen to reach out for what they dream.
Silver banknote: Wealth of the people, with Exodia one of the freest markets in the world. Working with the hand, it represents how success is always within reach of the common man. Industrialists and laborers share in the riches of liberty, and will defend this liberty and wealth with their lives.

Red dragon: One of the cultural symbols the refugees from Asha-Wang took with them; the Eastern red dragon symbolizing the pure spirit, power, and will of the people; of their strength and skill, and how they would never die without a hard battle with any opposition- “Exodian Spirit.”

[Vrijstaat Limburg]

The Limburgs tricolour (Dutch: Limburgse Driekleur, Limburgs: Vaan van Limburg) is a horizontal tricolour of white, blue and yellow.
The tricolour was designed in 1953, using the colours that king William III of the Netherlands had decided to put in the insignia of the province. Seperatists didn't like this, as the Duchy of Limburg had other colours before the orangist insignia were assigned. The old ducal flag was banned by the Orangist government, and only returned when the Germans occupied the Netherlands fully, as a sign of protest against the monarchists who were hiding in England at that time.

After the war, a new tricolour was made, with the old flag losing popularity due to it being illegal. The flag that was based on the colours of William III could be seen as an anti-limburgs instrument, but the flag entrenched itsself rapidly, and even Limburgs patriots started forgetting about its unfortunate foundation.

The flag represents the Limburg's nature, with the north of the province having flat, sandy grounds, which reminded the creator of the flag of the colour white. The middle is dark blue, and represents the Meuse river crossing the nation, as well as fertilizing its soil. The yellow bottom symbolizes the rich mining industry in Limburg's lucious hill country, and more precisely the marl stone, which serves as beautiful yet inexpensive building material.

The red lion is a reminder for Limburg's ducal past, with it being unique thanks to its two tails and its crown.

Flag of Shalotte

The flag of Shalotte portrays a stylised view of the sea with the sun above it. It might be argued whether this is a product of extreme laziness or hurriedness on their part, a lack of imagination, or perhaps the ultimate expression of meaning. Experts are unclear.

Contact between Shalotte and the outside world first occurred in the 1910s, though formal contact did not begin in earnest until the late 1920s. After millennia of isolation from the outside world, Shalotte lacked a large number of institutions, technologies, and expertise required to successfully join the international community.

One of those things was a national flag. National flags had not been adopted by the rest of the world until the late 16th/early 17th century, so of course Shalottes - who diverged from the world many centuries earlier - had no knowledge of such things, and certainly hadn't designed one for their own country.

Seeing their importance to the 'nations' of the world, however, Shalottes were quick to design one. It was felt at the time that nothing represented Shalotte better than the sea; their small archipelago was surrounded by it, its weather dictated by it, and many of its people reliant upon it for wealth and sustenance. So with no knowledge whatsoever of vexillology, a stylised impression of the sea was commissioned and hurriedly sewn into flags. It has remained so ever since.

Our flag comprises of three horizontal stripes.

The black stripe represents the subcontinent of Bahia, as it is home to the Bahian peoples, as well as representing the black soil along the Rwizi River. The red stripe represents the blood shed by Rwizikurans during the Great War, as well as in their struggle for independence from Estmere. Finally, the green stripe represents Rwizikuru's nature and fertility.

In addition, there are two red stars, at the corners of the flag, which represents Bahian socialism, which was the ideology of the Rwizikuran National Movement, who led us to independence from Estmere in 1946. However, the red stars also have individual meanings.

The red star on the black stripe, placed at top-left canton, represents anti-imperialism, and the efforts of the Rwizikuran National Movement to end colonial rule in Rwizikuru, while the red star on the green stripe, placed at the bottom-right canton, represents socialism and its desire to be part of the "socialist world" while adapting it "to the conditions on the ground."

The light blue bar at the top of the flag represents the blue skies of the Ukrainian south, where my nation is located.

The yellow represents the grain that is grown and harvested in the fertile territories under the control of the People's Republic. This, alongside the light blue at the top of the flag are references to the Ukrainian flag.

The red represents those who died bravely in glorious Revolution, and from their sacrifice the people were liberated from corrupt tyrants and unstable military dictatorships.

The blue waves at the bottom represent the Dnieper River, as it flows through the heartland of the nation.

The Star, alongside the Hammer and Sickle inside of it, represent the socialist ideals of the nation, and itself symbolizes the Revolution.

The flag of Samudera Darussalam - black, red, and yellow with the symbols of a white crescent and star in the middle - represents various values of the country and nation.

1. Red
Samuderans interpret 'red' as the colour of bravery and strength. Red symbolizes bravery to fight for justice and freedom, as what inspired the Samuderans' struggle against European colonialism to the Jasmine Revolution that started the democratic reformation in the governmental institutions.

2. Yellow
Yellow represents prosperity, greatness, and order. Being a rich country in natural resources, the Crowned Republic aims to use them mainly for the welfare of its people, as one of the sayings of its historical figures suggested; "a great nation comes from her own people".

3. Black
Black represents intelligence, wisdom, and resilience as the main traits to adapt to the ever changing world.

4. Crescent and Star
Contrary to popular beliefs that these symbols symbolize Islam as the predominant religion in the Crown Republic, crescent and star are originally intended to represent the moon and the star as one of the main ways of navigation for the sailors and fishermen before modern compass and map are founded. Historically a nation of sailors and traders, Samuderans have always been considering the sea as an integral part of their culture - thus the symbols' location in the center. Samuderans also consider the ocean as where the descendants of Melawati, an ancient state believed to be the predecessor of Samudera Darussalam come from.

5. White
White is interpreted as the colour of purity and cleanliness, the natural characteristics of the Mother Earth that is historically regarded as a provider and sustainer for the people that now have to be protected.

In the nation's politics, the three colours also represent the constituent countries of the Crowned Republic:
1. Red represents the Kingdom of Samudera.
2. Yellow represents the Kingdom of Gadang.
3. Black represents the Dominion of Labuan and Cempaka.

A Little History
During the cold war, Zopirland was split into two: North Zopirland and South Zopirland. NZ controlled around 80% of the land and population, and was a democratic, capitalist country. SZ on the other hand was a Soviet puppet, and was ruled by communism. In 1975, following the Sutaneca Revolution, Zopirland became one country. However, the Soviets forgot about something: the southern part of Zopirland was actually called Cirescia, and Cirescians were related to, -however not the same with- Zopirs. Following a new constitution written in 1976, the country was renamed to Zopciria, and the flag was chosen to represent these two closely related ethnic groups.

The Flag


Zopciria's flag was adopted in 13 April 1976. It represents the two main ethnic groups of Zopciria: Zopirs and Cirescians. It is divided into two vertically. The left side represents Zopirs, and the right side represents Cirescians.

Zopirish side: The Zopirish side includes a white eagle on a black background. Black is the color for north in many Central Asian cultures, and this symbolizes that Zopirs traditionally lived in the north side of Zopirland. The eagle is Zopirs' national animal, and it symbolizes freedom and power. The white contrasts with the black background, and it represents peace and purity.

Cirescian side: The Cirescian side includes a dark red gazelle on a white background. White is the color for south in many Central Asian cultures, and it symbolizes that Cirescians traditionally lived in the south side of Zopirland. The gazelle represents swiftness and beauty, as Cirescians are traditionally a peaceful people. The gazelle has a dark red color, which is the most important color for Cirescians. They believe that the life comes from white and red, the light and the blood. The red also gives the name for Cirescia's historic capital, "Herena" (meaning dark red).

The flag turns from black to white, symbolizing the separationist past of Zopcirians and a bright, clear future.
