Do you worldbuild with NationStates or capped population?

Do you worldbuild and roleplay with NationStates (full population like what it says on your NationStates account in-game page), or do you roleplay with smaller, modified and limited population?

For me, I don't use my NationStates account page population. I worldbuild and write Yohannes as having 379 million population;

I have to cap the population to about 93 million in the Minoan metropole. While one has to factor the result of relaxing immigration laws, there is no way one could fit 14.351 billion people into the size of Greece, Macedonia, Blagoevgrad and a part of Western Turkey without running to critical resource and transport problems (and Earth doesn’t have that many people, yet).

I worldbuild and roleplay with an RP population of 1.2 million. We're a large state and we probably should have a population more than the 6 million people NS population although I love to roleplay a sparsely populated state.

I added the rough rl amounts of my countries (Poland for example) together and RP with that.

I RP with a capped population that exceeds my NS one. I'm likely never going to exceed my IC population of between 900 billion and 1 trillion for the sake of more realism. Simply being another OP nation is just repetitive and boring, so I put a limit to how powerful my empire can be.

Because of this, future-tech nations have a considerable chance of besting me in a war (for obvious reasons).

Capped at around four million currently. My NS population is a few billion, that’s not going to fit into a nation the size of Iceland.

I hate NS stats over RW stats, I base them on a real city, province, state, county, or region as much as possible, even with my made up nation name nations, I prefer to RP with real world, and regional named nations and statistics.

NS population is the only NS stat I completely ignore - Polyspastonia has a capped population of 439 million, under a tenth of our Nationstates population.

I've currently capped my population at just over 7 million, far less than my NS population of over 13 billion.

I worldbuild using capped population at 4.1 billion. Say your country is huge, already has a medium-sized economy, was founded in 1930 and almost immdiately gets a huge economic miracle lasting to this day. Your population's going to go up to 4 billion.

Capped population. NS population has one way to go but up and it's pretty hard to explain why you have a billion more people after a month of RP hiatus.

I RP Aikoland with a population of 475 million, a significant amount less than the 11.5 billion the game says I have, although I wouldn't say I necessary cap the population, I consider one year in RL terms to serve as one year in my nation (so once 2019 hits, I'll say Aikoland is now in the year 2076) and I will 'adjust' the population to account for population growth.

I am flexible when it comes to Population Caps, and have worked with groups in the past to cap my population and military statistics as I have for alliances.

I haven't really tried to come up with an exact number, but a confederacy of many, many interstellar nations will certainly have a combined population of much more than about 2 billion.

I just make shit up out of nowhere. The only thing my RP nation has in common with my account is the name. Even my account avatar/flag is non cannon.

I don't use NS stats at all, but especially not for population. Gandoor is supposed to exist on a fictional landmass on Earth and having a population 19 billion would be beyond ridiculous.

For a few years I did cap the population at 231 million but then I decided recently 'well it's been a few years since I capped the population and certainly the population would GROW after several years', so I updated the population to 236 million.

I use some Ns stats but the population one is ridiculous, our nation is capped at 35 million people.
