Name: Kunzumayaa (クンズマヤー)
Host Species: Iriomote cat
Appearance: The Kunzumayaa shares its appearance with its host species, the Iriomote cat. It is around twice the size of a regular Iriomote cat and has sharper claws and a visibly enlarged jaw.
Native Environment: Endemic to Iriomote, Okinawa, Japan

Strengths:
Despite sharing an appearance with its host species, the Kunzumayaa is known to have strong jaws and has extremely thick skin like a natural armor of sorts. The Kunzumayaa also is twice the size of a regular Iriomote cat and is slightly faster. The Kunzumayaa are mostly solitary animals but are usually found in pairs rather than alone.

Weaknesses:
The Kunzumayaa usually stick to the mountainous regions of Iriomote and has an impaired hearing, which makes it increasingly reliant on sight. Thus, it is rarely spotted in dark areas.

This is 2LT. Yoshiro Yamazaki from the 15th JGSDF Brigade, 17th Reconnaissance Squadron. My men and I have landed on the island of Iriomote from the JS Wakataka in search for survivors to bring to the Shuri Safe Zone. Upon our arrival to the island, we were immediately attacked by a group of around eight human-based mutants. Thankfully, the platoon was able to neutralize them without casualties. We have begun our search into the interior and have found nothing except a few abandoned houses. I will update this log when anything of note occurs.

PFC. Arashi Sakamoto said he heard sounds coming from a cave up near a hill in the Iriomote mountains, we are beginning a trek to investigate. He keeps talking about some weird cat. He's telling everyone that's something is stalking us... watching us. Personally, this forest does feel creepy. But I've told Arashi to stop spreading rumors in case the rest get scared.

BIG CATS. BIG CATS. I was not crazy- CPL. Yaroto and I were out looking for supplies in an abandoned gas station near the road when we encountered twelve mutants. We were about to be overpowered when I heard that growling again. Then, two large feline mutants jumped out of the bush and picked off the mutants one by one! This gave us enough time to reload and gun down the remaining mutants. We were about to gun them down when they ran off, jumped into the bushes and disappeared. The glint in its eye is certainly terrifying.

I don't think we should stay here any longer. Yaroto and I are returning as quickly as possible. I heard more and more of the growling and seeing what they did to those mutants, I do not want to know what they could do to us.

Awesome entry. :)
Before I add it into the index, how dangerous are the Kunzumayaa to humans? Are they typically passive, do they attack when threatened, or do they actively seek humans as prey?

They attack when they feel threatened. Although travelling in large groups like the soldiers increase the chances of an attack as the Kunzumayaa may feel more threatened than if you are alone.

Name: Chimera
Host Species: it consists of multiple species, but seems to only be land based creatures.
Appearance: A hodgepodge of parts, the entire body has an appearance of being melted together, this is in fact a symptom, and any creatures spotted that look like they've melted should be avoided.
Native Environment: Urban environs seem to be favored.

Strengths: Their melted appearance is actually the first stage of infection, once this happens the animal will compulsively seek out other living beings in search of "Help" when it sees one, it will run towards it and attempts physical contact. This will anatomically alter the two to be melded together. This process can continue indefinitely under the right circumstances.
Weaknesses: Unfortunately, they become increasingly unstable as their number of absorbed creatures increases, ultimately causing their DNA to collapse, rendering them piles of goopy meat. They are also susceptible to burn damage.

Notes:
"Shit shit shit shit, what the hell was that thing?"
"I don't know, but it looked like it was falling apart!"
"How much ammo do we have left?"
"Look, that thing is either immune or incredibly resilient, we just have to reach the rendevous, and we're good."
"Yeah, you're right."

"There's another one!"
"Ready the flamethrower dammit!"
"Got it!"
*sounds of burning and screeching*
"One down, now for the othe- WHAT THE FUCK IS IT DOING?"
"Its...dead"
*growling*

Awesome idea. I'll add it once I get to a computer.

By the way, was the chimera based off of The Thing?

No, I based it off of Undertale's amalgamate.

Name:Walking Plant
Host Species:Human
Appearance:Normally human size, differences from its host, externally, are its green skin, and its fingers that resemble sharp claws instead of human fingers.
Native Environment:Everywhere in the open except excessively dry or cold areas. Not found in the desert, or anywhere underground - like caves.

Strengths:Can regenerate pretty much everything in time, able to climb steep and slippery walls. Able to conduct photosynthesis. Highly infectious claws and aggressive. Claws mutate afflicted humans into Walking Plants(in addition to spreading the normal disease). Tend to be seen with other mutated creatures. Most of these will not attack them(nor the other way around), with the notable exception of Arachnae.
Weaknesses:It takes time(depending on the wounds from one hour to several months) to regenerate and is immobile and harmless during that time; and it does not stop regenerating until fully healed(although it might not attempt to regenerate wounds if attacked). Flammable. Inactive at night. Will not go into underground systems. Regeneration depends on sunlight.

Notes:
Recovered from a metal box in a destroyed and cleared zone:
These mutants need to be truly destroyed or else they come back in time. Which means just shooting and wounding them won't do the trick. We have to burn them.

Too many other mutants out there, we cannot go out at night.

They are attacking again and we cannot get rid of them because we cannot leave the zone.

There are more and more each passing day, and when they are inactive there are too many dangers to go out.

Double shifts... without these green monsters we could at least sleep at night. The smell of burning flesh every day when someone gets hit by the claws. We are in trouble.

Our munition doesn't regenerate. We don't. Our enemies do. Requests for help without response. We are preparing to die.

We maybe have hours until our last line of defense is breached. May these notes help others to understand that hiding is dying against these mutants.

I'll add the Chimera today.

While I like the concept of the Walking Plant, could you give more elaboration on the appearance and native environment? Otherwise, it sounds great.

I'm sorry for the long time with no response.

EDIT: The factbook is now updated.

Name: Monster Beetle
Host Species: Beetle
Appearance: Large, blue beetle with claws and yellow eyes
Native Environment: Jungle

Strengths: Flight and Exoskeleton, more intelligent than average beetle (although that's not saying much)
Weaknesses: Slow, vestigial wings, short lifespan

Notes: Nothing yet

That sounds like a great concept, but some fields such as strengths and weaknesses, and appearance need a little more elaboration, and everything with the exception of name, host species, and picture, should be in complete sentences.

Name: Rebirthed
Host Species: Human/Various insects
Appearance: A horrific combination of a man, who will normally be protected on the inside by a large shell of chitin, showing only his upper body, which has many spikes and chitin emplacements. Depending on the kind of worker/soldier, their appearance can vary but generally contain these qualities.
Native Environment: Rebirthed hives can be found in the woods or mountains, generally in areas along or near the North Pacific Ocean.

Strengths: Very strong and adaptive, can breed quickly if uninterrupted, and their Directors (they function like leaders) are very intelligent. Despite most of them having low durability, they still have large numbers. They also don't need to eat or drink very often if need be. They can also convert other life forms to usable workers or food, but they don't use this very often.
Weaknesses: Many classes are not very durable to modern weapons. Without their Directors, Rebirthed generally will not know what to do and will panic, becoming highly aggressive and disorganized. They still are vulnerable to basic human/insect needs like eating or shelter.

Notes: They are the result of an ancient Soviet virus experiment gone horribly wrong, as legends and some research say.

The Rebirthed sound like a great mutant species. However, there are some areas that could use a little more elaboration such as the native environment, appearance of the Rebirthed such as the distinctive differences between workers and soldiers, and its strengths. Additionally, I would strongly recommend you add more on the hierarchy of the Rebirthed.

Also, I am somewhat concerned by the advantages of the Rebirthed, specifically its high level of intelligence. Most mutants are instinctively driven, and so a self-sufficient community of mutants capable of acquiring and sharing provisions such as food seems somewhat out-of-place.
