Quick question - is it ok if I implement an Elemental Bending system of magic, kinda like avatar and korra lmaooo. Also, was thinking out "obsession" would be magitech is that ok?

i think we are trying to come up with a singular magical system thay everyone uses. just to keep it more fair and even. of course, we are still in the suggestions phase of planning so throw in any and all ideas you have!

I was just thinking some form of "body movements" or martial arts to channel some form of "energy" to bend the elements, usually specializing in only one of the 4 to keep it fair & simple. Also, I was thinking the use of it would drain health or something/tire the user out. But if that strays too far from everyone, no worries I read your suggestion too and I really like the ideas for the system you put out

YASS ! I'm planning to rewatch both as soon as exams are done I can definitely see many ways we can restrict it from being perceived as godmodding, especially by limiting the ability to use just to one elemental guild.

I think at the moment, something like Magical Capacity will be used to keep from godmodding and being to OP. I do think it makes a good basis for magic, but I guess we can get a poll up or something and decide if we want that to be the basis of the magic system (without even considering the type of magic yet).

And I just rewatched season 3 of AtLA. Still great.

Haha yeahh I saw FMA in the thread - I was also going to ask about that, but as sad as it makes me, I totally understand how that could be difficult:( I figured Bending would be a lot easier to work with.

Awwhhh yeeehh, agreed, AtLA is awesome - a lot of people I know underrate it compared to Korra, but I love both for their respective stories.

I think it's possible to incorporate it as a "rare/unique regional school of magic" or something. The rules for capacity would still apply to it and it'd still function like any other school of magic but it'd allow for a regional flavour of magic, a unique school to have developed in this region and that's their speciality. Something like that. ^_^

I don't know what I want to do with this just yet. I want to make my own fantasy, one not tied to D&D or anything.

If you check my factbook you’ll see a race you’ve never heard of. The Aventi. I’m thinking of using them for this fantasy thing. The catch is this: they live underwater. Aventi breath air and water but we’d need to put my capital and territory in the ocean.
