Muslims are discriminated against, same with fundamentalists of all religions. Women are rarely if ever discriminated against on the basis of sex, same with men.

Obese people and overweight people are largely discriminated against.

Discrimination is illegal, but it does happen unfortunately. LGBT+ citizens still face discrimination in many aspects of life, helping them gain total equality is a major part of the current government's agenda.

Yes there is. In each Nyeluan province, there is a Indigenous population that makes up at least 95% of the population and the remaining 5% would be made up of Nyeluan people from other regions of Nyelu. That Minority population will get a lot of attention (though in most cases not necessarily racism) from the majority local population. They may receive stares, disturbed looks, etc. they will rarely face hostility however. Who Nyeluans really oppose are people from outside of Nyelu, especially a westerner. This is because Nyeluans are a bit resistant to western influence and they have maintained spiritual/high philosophical or scientific cultures for thousands of years. And they view the west as being worldly, lacking touch with nature and spirituality. So someone from the west may be imprisoned or even killed. Even back in the 1600’s there have been tales of explorers finding this land called Nyelu. They described it as an exquisite place, with lots of rich natural resources. According to these explorers, the Nyeluan landmass would be an ideal New Europe. But unfortunately, their dreams will never come true.

This article is written from what could be considered an external point of view as with regards to discrimination in the Freehold. The Freehold does not recognise our social differences and hierarchies in terms of race, sex, and class, as a form of discrimination but rather an integral part of society and order necessary to thrive and grow.

It is a public, and not hidden fact, that the political sphere is open to adult men, with property worth at least ten thousand Honours, and who are freeborn citizens of the Freehold. Women, of all ages and economic classes, be she of a non-freeholding family, or a woman of the Senatorial financial and political class, is prohibited from acting in the political sphere, either in casting a vote, or being permitted to stand for election to any of the elected offices of the state. Women are kept under guardianship, with their paramount guardian always being their father (or a brother if their father is deceased), and secondary their husband (when married). This was, and still is, to protect women from harm inflicted by others within or without the society.

The state is regarded as an extension of family hierarchy, and as the man heads his family, as the one who brings in the profit, and the one who goes out to fight when war comes, he shall be the one who casts votes to influence when war is waged, how the economy runs, and which men of the Freehold are appointed to represent it on an international level. Ephyral women simply do not presume to speak on such matters on equal footing with the men that would fight, die, and earn in their place on the battlefield, all for their protection and security.

Within the household also, the woman will typically heed her husband's wishes, though does have the authority to speak on behalf of her part of the household, and is protected from violence from her husband by both law, prohibiting a man from striking his wife without 'sufficient cause', and her dowry and threat of her family's withdrawal of her from their marriage. It is often said that men are of the public domain, and women of the private, and just as a man leaves it in his wife's hands as to how she furnishes and designs their household for the receiving of guests and the comfort of her family, she too shall leave politics to the hands of her husband.

Women are not treated as inferior, they are treated as they are. A different sex, with different needs and different behaviours, which when coupled with man produces a strong union, but one that must be ordered, and loyal. It is simply the case that the expertise of the female sex does not lie in leadership, military, or intrigue, nor do women as a sex maintain a sense of in-group loyalty to the tribe in their quest for a mate, as per biological instinct to reproduce with the fittest male. Therefore female restriction from the aforementioned spheres of society is necessary for them to function as intended, and male guardianship of women necessary to ensure they don't, through an uncontrollable and unwitting instinct, bring ruin of foreigners into the Freehold.

When a woman from another country moves to the Freehold as an individual, her ability to bear children is a significant factor. Women travelling in families are subject to the same analysis, but with less importance placed on her biological qualifications than her male representative's practical qualifications. A daughter of such a man who is qualified and accepted can then be married to a man she desires, that desires her, and that meets with her father's approval without interference from the state. A woman travelling alone however must be verified to ensure she is capable of reproduction, as marrying and bearing children for a suitable man would be her only qualification. Women are always daughters, and then later wives, and then mothers. A woman's father protects her, her husband supports her, and her sons succeed her, whilst her daughters continue on the honourable path of womanhood.

The Freehold is often criticised as repressive towards women. However, it is the position of the Freehold that universal suffrage is a weakness, and that the destruction of biological gender roles, and the ignoring of biological reality to suit sensibilities, is detrimental to a society. Ephyral men and women perform expected functions according to their sex in the Freehold, abide by values of morality and virtue, and through political or familial actions, contribute to the success and survival of the society that our ancestors built.

Racially, we have divided humans into numerous sub-species, capable of interbreeding but with physiological and behaviour differences. The Ephyral race are of the European sub-species. It is from this race that the most advanced societies and virtues of democracy, liberty, and nationhood emerged, despite the history of their civilisation being predated by others in different lands. There is little Ephyral attitude towards Mongoloid people, as no such community exists in any notable number of minority in the Freehold. Easterners in general have been historically regarded as backwards and more primitive, remaining more feudal, bound by religious dogma and faith, and incapable of significant advancement unless conquered and elevated.

Through skeletal and behavioural analysis, scientists of the Freehold have long concluded that Negroids, particularly Congoids of the sub-Sahara, are more akin to the apes inhabiting that continent than they are to the peoples of Europe or the massive continent of Asia. The even more southern Capoid peoples are regarded as slightly more advanced, but due to lack of population in Ephyra, are not contemplated often, if at all by the citizenry. Australoids in this ranking are regarded as the least akin to the Ephyral, and essentially half-animal.

Slavery is practiced in the Freehold, but done regardless of race. One may find Ephyral slaves, but also other Europeans as well as Africans. European and rarely, Asiatic slaves, are favoured as retainers and domestic household slaves for their potential expertise and docile nature, whilst the more aggressive Congoids are deemed unfit for personal service. Many of the men of this race have ended up in the arena, toiling fields, or perishing in the mines. Females are sent to be bought and trained as bed slaves, if young enough to be educated in such affairs, otherwise they are simply bought and utilised by a brothel.

Claims that Ephyra is racist may be substantiated with the anti-miscegenation laws. Any Congoid male who engages in sexual intercourse with a freeborn European-Ephyral female is charged with the sex crime of 'race shaming', whilst those that do it force-ably are held to the law under rape charges. European-Ephyral males may be subject to 'race shaming' accusations also, but to less extent, due to the presence of female Congoids as bed slaves, and the right of the citizen to use one.

In terms of class, mobility is possible, and those that are able to, can. Those that aren't, don't. Some are born capable to be great, artists, inventors, leaders, and philosophers. Others are menial, and will labour as such.

In the Empire of Japanese Pacific States, there's mostly discrimination against communists and "outsiders" of whom aren't asian. Atleast in the Asia part of the Empire this exists, however in the far eastern occupied territories of the Empire on the Western coast of North America the only discrimination of which exists is against communists, while there is some discrimination against those of different religions, it is only notable in Asia, and to a lesser degree in the Pacific States.

Most of the discrimination that you'll hear about in Mon Ling comes from the beliefs of minority religious groups. The native religion of Mon Ling, Cuteness Worship, does not discriminate against people, but within the past several decades, missionaries from overseas have come to Mon Ling and introduced their sexism, homophobia, etc. Less than 5% of the population has converted to such religions, but that is a large enough percentage to have a significant impact on society and cause all sorts of conflicts.

Any sort of discrimination in law is forbidden by the Constitution.

Racial segregation has been enforced in Transwell since the adoption of the Voorbehoud laws into the Union Document in 1925. People of Bantu descent are completely separated from the white Landbouwer population, which makes up the majority ethnicity in Transwell. A notorious disparity exists between Bantu and Landbouwer populations, with the rates of education, incarceration, infant mortality, disease and life expectancy being drastically different between the two major ethnic groups. Discrimination also exists on a lesser basis towards people (whether they be Landbouwer or Bantu) who are accused of being communist sympathisers by members of the Landweer.

Humans and Kechaat with human-emulating tendencies are the most discriminated-against here. After that, other non-Kechaat are somewhat discriminated against, but nowhere near as much as humans.

New Aldrin is a lunar colony founded in 1989. I think it's fair to say that sexism was still rampant at NASA when it was formed, and the ratio of female to male astronauts that have worked on New Aldrin is... disappointing.

That's not to say New Aldrin was as white and male as the Apollo program. The first American female astronaut actually flew as early as 1978 for the Hephaestus program (the precursor to the Athene program, which created the colony New Aldrin). But I'd be lying to say that sexism was over by the 90's, especially in STEM fields.

To clarify, though: I don't think the astronauts themselves would be outwardly racist or sexist toward each other. I think NASA knows better than to send a sexist man into space with a woman. But I also doubt there would be many missions where there's three women, or a majority of women (Athene spacecraft can hold up to 7 people, with the exception of the escape craft, which are modified to hold 10.) And female astronauts, and astronauts of color, would have to work a lot harder than their male/white counterparts to secure a mission in the first place.
