Argoatia's borders are heavily monitored by cameras and border guards. In addition, a border fence has been placed along the entirety of Argoatia's borders. That being said, the border guard's have orders to "shoot to kill" anyone that tries to force his or her way through the border fence. In this case, however, we would line up ones that are healthy and fit and then use them as slave labour. The remaining "immigrants" would then be shot. Illegal immigrants and refugees are not welcome in Argoatia.

It's a somewhat regular occurrence in Jajal. Immigrants who commit crimes and dangerous political criminals from Solandia are usually sent here. They would be checked for any dangerous illnesses, if they are proven to be healthy, they would be let pass. If they are not, they would be quarantined and deported back to Solandia.

It used to happen lot more commonly, but after the international sanctions towards Solandia, it became less common.

They will all be split up and individually searched. Then we would put them through processing which includes a background check. Then we organize them into 3 groups, families, individuals with children, and single men and children. Priority will be put on families and they will be the first allowed in and will be provided with housing as well as enough funds to live for 1 month. Next will come individuals with children who will be provided the same amenities as families. Finally comes those who have come by themselves. They will undergo an interview to see their past job experience and what they've done back home. After that they'll go through a second background check and tested on if they can read, write, and speak Karunese. Those who are deemed fit are allowed in, the rest are sent home regardless of their situation. Those who are allowed are [rovided with housing and enough to get by for 2 weeks.

It depends on the situation, the number of refugees and if any criminals are among them. Blacks are less likely to be let in. Sapient ponies are more likely to be allowed in.

First, they will be detained by the Royal Guard, who are appointed by the Monarch, and sent to the detention centres, which resemble five-star hotels, but they cannot leave the property. If they have any weapons on them, they will be questioned by the Guard, assigned a attorney, and given a court date within the week.
Second, they will be vexed. If they have some form of identification, they will be assigned a public attorney and given a court date within the week. If they lack identification, they will attempt to retrieve it from their home government, if they receive identification, they will be given the attorney and court date. If they still do not have identification, they will be kept in the hotel while the other immigrants are being processed through the legal system, as the Reukian government attempts to form an identification report for them. Once an identification report is completed, they will receive an attorney and a court date. At this point, they are all considered Reukian residents, with sub-categories.
Third, within the month, the immigrants will be assessed and stand in the courts. (There will be a state-set quota), the judges will decide if the immigrant may be granted permanent amnesty or citizenship, by winning the court case. If one family member is granted amnesty, the entire family, if present, will receive amnesty; if another family member is a revealed to be a criminal, they will be incarcerated in Reuku according to Reukian laws. If a single individual is there, with no family present, they alone will receive amnesty. If a single individual is a revealed to be a criminal, they will be incarcerated in Reuku according to Reukian laws. The property of the immigrants will be processed and tallied, and given to the owners respectively after processing. Any pets of the immigrants must be registered and vaccinated before entering the rest of the country. During the immigration process, all animals will be kept in a daycare institution. if the judge fails to grant amnesty, the immigrant may appeal twice. After two appeals, or if they do not make further appeals, the immigrant will be humanely deported to their country of origin, if it is safe to return; if it is unsafe, they will remain in Reuku until it is safe, or will be sent to another country that agrees to take them in and if the immigrant agrees as well.
Fourth, the immigrants who receive amnesty are now Reukian citizens, and they will be given options to integrate into society. Those of adequate education will be connected with job opportunities, with the government serving as the employer of last resort; once they begin employment, their retirement fund will begin, and all the benefits and obligations that come with citizenship shall apply. Those of inadequate education will be offered free public education and job-training, then access to job opportunities, to assure they can succeed in the market. All will be educated in the native languages of The Realm, take cultural etiquette classes, learn about Reukian history and laws, and be taught their rights as people and their abilities to prosper; these classes will last within two years and are compulsory. All the criminals mentioned prior will complete their sentences in Reuku and become citizens thereafter (if they desire), with the integration programmes offered, as well.
Our immigration policy attempts to be humane and respectful, treating immigrants as human beings deserving of human rights. We will integrate them into our society, so they can enjoy the prosperity we have here.

In order to achieve asylum, immigrants must prove that the situation in their country is not only dangerous to their welfare, but beyond their faculties to resolve. This is a very strenuous process and only the most severe cases, such as genocides, political purges, or catastrophic natural disasters such as Category 5 hurricanes, are likely to be accepted. In less severe situations, the Rezmaeri Worker's Syndicalist Front Foreign Aid and Development Division(RWSF-FAD) will be sent to the immigrants' country in order to assist in the resolution of the situation, serving at the discretion of the Shah, Fazhi Sh'zurk, Chief Commissar, and syndicate heads.

During their application period, they will be detained in refugee camps along the border. Attempting to escape results in being shot; survivors are automatically deported. SPB officers will escort them to and from immigration offices in order to prevent their escape into the country. Families are detained together; single men and women are separated.


Should they be approved for asylum, immigrants will be issued with refugee papers. These are added to their passports and make them eligible to work in Rezmaeristan, and allow them to stay in the country for the duration of the cause of displacement. In the event that the cause of displacement lasts an unforeseen length of time, refugees may apply for citizenship. Unless one is a member of one of the Seven Tribes, this is incredibly difficult; should they fail, they become resident aliens.

If the "caravan" manages to maliciously cross without being stopped by numerous border defense mechanisms (the wall has undergone updates in the last few centuries), then Homeland Security (or a civilian militia) immediately detains all suspected members by force of arms, and are handed over to the Office of Detention and Deportation.

Seeing as Gandoor has no land borders, we doubt that a caravan of a 'few thousand immigrants' would be able to reach our shores. A hundred or so, maybe.

Regardless, any immigrants to Gandoor, regardless of how they arrive, would be processed at an immigration centre where they will undergo confirmation of their identities, background checks, and confirming if they have means of living within Gandoor. If they pass all of these, then they have a photo ID taken confirming that they are legally allowed to reside within Gandoor for as long as stated on the ID (the IDs expire six months after being issued and can be renewed so long as the person wishes to remain living in Gandoor at any time between two weeks before and two weeks after the stated expiration date).

If they don't pass these background checks, then what happens next can depend: if they are seeking asylum or refugee status, then they will be sent to a facility managed by the Department of Asylum, a separate division of the Ministry of Immigration, where their status as asylees or refugees will be examined and either approved or disapproved. (It is more often than not approved) If they are not seeking asylum or refugee status, then arrangements will be made to deport them to their home country.

A series of islands were converted into a holding and processing facility for Ashkera and its allied nations on the continent - a very large one, the size of a city, with intake and various further facilities depending on what immigration path (or lack thereof) candidates are approved for.

The law prohibits the use of live ammunition for violations of immigration law, with the exception of violations of an Order of Exile (a sentence handed down against specific individuals by courts), though Ashkera is an island an ocean away from most potential migration sources, and tends not to get much illegal migration.
