Alina Balseiro Gutiérrez, Presidenta of the National Electoral Commission Cen.
Welcome to the Democratic Communist Socialist Republic of La Habana Cuba's 2018 Provincial and Parliamentary elections website page, during 2017 the Cuban people democratically elected the 12 515 municipal delegates, during 2018 the municipal delegates nominated the 1 265 provincial candidates and the 605 parliamentary candidates to be democratically elected from thier ranks on Sunday March 11 2018, whom on Thursday April 19 will elect new president of Cuba, the vice presidents, the secretary and the council of state, when our Compañero and yours, Raúl Castro Ruz, steps down as President of Cuba, the Council of State and Council of Ministers collective.
The democratic elections in Cuba are the most democratic elections in the world, if not one of the most democratic elections in the world, foreign, national, private and government corporations, and Cuban nationals are not allowed to contribute money $ to the election candidates, the state pays $ all election related expenses, the elected candidates do not recieve a salary or special privileges, but keep thier jobs and salaries.
The Democratic Communist Socialist party of La Habana Cuba, does not govern the nation, does not nominate, chose, appoint, select or suggest the candidates, the communist party only guides the nation and the people in the democratic principles of the revolution. The legally registered independent national organizations of the masses elect the candidates, like the Committees for the Defense of the Democratic Revolution CDDRs, the Young Communist League UJC, the federation of Cuban women, the Cuban federation of workers, the writers and artist union, and the national association of private farmers ANAP, the candidates belong to more than one of these organizations including the communist party and the armed forces.
Just like the during the municipal elections, the candidates are not allowed to make promises they can keep or cant keep, are not allowed to propose legislation, are not allowed to campaign against the others, or for self, a biography of the candidates and pics, with thier names, age, occupation, voluntary work record or not for the revolution, and support or not for the revolution are posted in public spaces, for the people to see and decide.
Cuban citizens will be able to vote for one or more of the candidates on the ballot of thier districts, or for all of the candidates on the ballot of thier districts under the unity vote option, but not against any of the candidates on the ballot, as they were already democratically elected to the municipal assemblies during 2017.
Raúl Castro Ruz, Compañeras y Compañeros, Comrades, I will step down and retire as President of Cuba on Thursday April 19 2018, the new Cuban National Assembly Parliament CNAP will chose the next democratic President of Cuba and the revolution, probably Vice President, compañero comrade, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, but I will not support or endorse any candidate, I will continue to represent Santiago de Cuba Province as a democratically elected Deputy of the Cuban National Parliament CNAP.
My daughter, Mariela Castro Espín Guillois, has also been nominated and elected as a deputy of the Cuban National Parliament CNAP for La Habana Cuba City Province.
Keep Cuba democratic, communist, socialist and prosperous.
President, Raúl Castro Ruz.
Vice President, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.
Cuban State Council of Ministers Collective.
Democratic Communist Socialist Republic of La Habana Cuba.
Fidel Castro Ruz, our eternal Comandante en Jefe and yours, of the democratic communist socialist revolution for life.
