Mine is The Midandian Immigration and Border Agency (MIBA). It is required to have staff at all ports and airports. It has an open border to anyone but requires visas for a lot of nations. Nations that do not require visa-free travel are Volaworand and TheFourthReic. It does not allow cats, exotic plants, aggressive animals, or exotic foods into the nation, and all foods and animals are inspected.
It currently bans travel to Chile and Bigtopia.
It works with Air Traffic Control and the Coast Guard to protect the air as well as patrolling the seas around the island to keep out illegal immigrants and criminals. In some cases, it will also work and cooperate with the police and even the military if necessary.

The VISA and Citizienship Confederal commission will process VISAs and Citizenship applications. The Kenmorian Border Agency (KBA) controls nearly all immigration into Kenmoria and most emigration. It is quite lax about most immigration due to Kenmoria's pro-refugee attitudes and generally will only lightly fine those who come here illegally with non-refugee status. All people from away nations can come here freely.

The Thermodolian Immigration and Border Enforcement Bureau patrols all borders and ports of entry in Thermodolia. The TIBEB also is in charge of all customs related matters. While the Immigration and Naturalization Administration is in charge of immigration to Thermodolia. The Thermodolian National Police Service and the Thermodolian Coast Guard help the TIBEB with patrolling.

Immigration into Thermodolia requires that one gain a visa before entry, a visa requires a background check conducted by the Thermodolian law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Failure to do so will result in deportation.

Illegal immigration is a felony offense and those who attempt to trespass into Thermodolia will be deported. Once deported an individual will have to wait five years before reapplying for a entry visa

Immigration and border control is enforced by the Coast Guard, the Van Hool Defence Force Immigration Task Force (VHDF-ITF), and the Ministry of Immigration and Borders. We have relatively tough rules when it comes to illegal immigrants. Anyone who comes to our shores illegally will be sent back if their vessel is seaworthy, and if not they are processed on shore, and usually are sent to the Manus Island Immigration Centre, located in the outer reaches of Nordhoek province, before they are deported back to their home nation.

On the other end of the spectrum, we are party to the Trans-Tasman Travel Agreement This agreement was originally created in 1973, and allowed for free movement between Australia in New Zealand, until we joined the agreement in 1980, two years after we gained independence. Since then, Australian and New Zealander immigrants have become a major part of our nation, and vice versa. We also hold special agreements with the United Kingdom, Indonesia, the EU, and Canada allowing for much more lax laws when it comes to immigrants from those respective jurisdictions.

Border protection is handled by the Mearcfæreld (part of the Weardas) on land, the Sæweard (part of the Cyneflothere) on the water, and the Cynelyfthere in the air. (Seaports and airports are Wearda jurisdiction.)

Border watch duties are detecting hostile incursions (not much part of Mearcfæreld duties anymore, as any significant invasion force would be detected by orbital and other recon and intelligence assets long before they reached Eahlisc borders, but there are still places where we get cross-border banditry, and for the Sæweard, this includes counter-piracy operations in territorial waters), preventing the movement of contraband (which is a short list, but most notably includes human trafficking), and giving aid and succor to refugees and others in need (aiding seafarers in distress is a large part of the Sæweardes day-to-day activities).

We have open borders; border protection duties do not include preventing the entry or exit of anyone peaceable and law-abiding.

All of our entry points have a Customs Office. You could hypothetically just walk past Customs and nobody would notice. But if you did run afoul of our justice system (we don't have any laws to speak of but we do have some pretty strict social taboos) you might attract the attention of Fatatatutti Intelligence Department No. 5 (FI5 - Counter-Intelligence). They never let go. They'll be watching your every move for the rest of your life.

If you do go through Customs, they'll photocopy your passport and forward it to FI5 but there won't be any follow-up unless you cause trouble.

The border is harshly protected and placed around natural borders, like rivers, mountains and other areas.

Border security is controlled by the Ministry of Border Control and Immigration. All airports have strict customs posts and processing areas, same with all harbours and such. Land borders have occasional checkpoints, usually on the Fāske end of bridges. Security is always armed and well-prepared, with some checkpoints even having tanks.

Vyzhvan borders have been closed since the end of the civil war. Not that anyone would come here or anything.

Siberaian Borders are closed to Immigration and Emigration, the Siberaian National Border Defense Agency enforces that. None go in, none go out.

[Medwedian Democratic Federation]

Medwedian borders are de facto closed. Even if you are Russian or Belarussian, a visa takes several months to apply. If you are European or American, expect to be regularly interrogated in the embassy and wait 10 years or more before being allowed to visit the country.

For Medwedian citizens, getting out of the country is very hard. Normal, working-class people are not even allowed to cross provincial borders without permission.

The Medwedian border is highly militarized, with a "dead zone" of several kilometers existing. About 15% of all active military personnel are stationed at the border.

Travel and emigration are usually unrestricted between the Soviet Republic and other proletarian states, but temporary restrictions may be had for economic reasons.
Travel and emigration out of the Soviet Republic into capitalist, feudalist or other antiproletarian states is highly discouraged but ultimately not banned. Thankfully, it is rare.
Travel and emigration into the Soviet Republic from antiproletarian states is tightly controlled but not impossible. It requires that an oath is taken to denounce the state of origin and accept the communist movement. These new arrivals are under probation for one year, at the end of which they are granted citizenship.

The Border Agency of Vedastia (Agencia de fronteras de Vedastia; Atßentxin vun Termin vun Vetaxtune) controls immigration and border enforcement.

His Majesty's Customs (Agencia de Aduanas de Su Majestad; Lube Mayextbe Tuan) controls the flow of people and goods at various points of entry.

[Allanea]

The Free Kingdom of Allanea has the following immigration policy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the primary agency for formulating immigration and regulation and applying the governing laws – the Immigration and Naturalization Act, and the various Refugee Acts. The following items are a basic summary of Allanean immigration policy:

Illegal immigration: To try and immigrate to Allanea by attempting to illegally infiltrate across our borders is strictly illegal. The Coast Guard and Armed Forces enforce this with extreme strictness, by searching any unidentified vessels who attempt to enter our national waters. Any foreign vessel that enters our national waters and does not identify itself properly may expect to be seized, boarded, or attacked. This is because of the presence of heavily armed terrorist groups throughout the multiverse that would attempt to harm Allanea.

Refugee status: Individuals who have been persecuted in their home nations based on their race, species, magic-user status, religion, profession, sexual orientation, and (in certain circumstances) violation of drug or gun laws, may receive refugee status in Allanea, as can enslaved individuals and victims of sapient-trafficking In addition, a program for refugees from countries stricken by natural disaster exists. In all cases, refugees are legally entitled to a degree of financial support from the Free Kingdom of Allanea, in order to allow them to ‘get back on their feet’ in the country. This financial support is modest but available to anyone who receives refugee status. There exists a large, but strictly-enforced, quota of refugees that Allanea is ready to receive in a given year, based on their ability to support them.

That said, an individual who can prove the presence of an independent source of support (for example, fleeing the origin country with a bunch of diamonds hidden in their underwear!) and wishes to be exempt from the financial support program can be exempt from the refugee quota. A private refugee sponsorship program also exists.

In addition, for refugees for whom a continued threat to their life and liberty exists from possible attempts by foreign terrorists or government operatives staging attacks on them within the Free Kingdom, a Refugee Protection Program exists wherein the Free Kingdom Government will take measures to protect their identity, conceal their address, and provide them with personal security within the Free Kingdom until the threat is considered obviated.

In the event in which the Free Kingdom receives a quantity of refugees which it cannot handle at a given time, the Free Kingdom has established cooperation with other civilized countries, such as Menelmacar, Lamoni, and others, to assist the refugees. The Free Kingdom does its level best to avoid casting refugees back into countries where they will be exposed, once more, to the circumstances which made them refugees in the first place.

Visa-Free Travel Countries: Citizens of countries with which Allanea has a special relationship – primarily, nations residing in the Greater Prussia region and the Tareldanore region, as well as New Dornalia – have a right to travel, work, etc. in Allanea upon displaying a passport at the border only. They are entitled to all rights of Allanean freemen except for voting in Federal elections (some municipalities in Allanea allow non-Freemen to vote – check your local regulations for detail!).

The Point System: Citizens from other countries may apply for Permanent Residency Status in Allanea upon filling out a point system test. Those receiving 50 points or more can receive permanent residency. The exact make-up of the points varies annually, but the following points are typically awarded:

Citizen of a Greater Prussia Member State: Citizens of countries that are members of the Greater Prussian Empire (CAPINTERN, CODEN, or other appropriate member state) receive 10 points).
Language Knowledge: 15 points are awarded for knowledge of English, Russian, or Quenya, and 5 points for every other language known.
Professional Education: Holders of Bachelor’s Degrees from accredited institutions are awarded 10 points, and holders of graduate degrees an additional 10.
Skilled professions: Holders of a skilled profession in which they have a proven qualification are awarded 10 points.
Experienced professionals: Individuals with at least 5 years of work experience in a skilled profession are awarded 10 points.
Work offer: Individuals with an existing documented job offer from within the Free Kingdom are awarded 15 points.
Special Immigrants: Foreign nationals with extraordinary ability in sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, foreign nationals that are outstanding professors or researchers with significant experience in teaching or research and who are recognized internationally, foreign nationals that are managers and executives subject to international transfer to the Free Kingdom, receive an additional 30 points. So do individuals wishing to invest at least 500,000 Menelmacari Credits (or the equivalent sum in New Dornalian dollars) in the economy of the Free Kingdom. This will bring most such individuals over the 50-point boundary.
Sponsored immigrant: Individuals whose immigration application is sponsored by a Freeman willing to vouch for their character receive an additional 10 points. [It is a serious crime to attempt to bribe individuals to vouch for your character, and employers or employees cannot be used as character references.]
Financially independent immigrant: Immigrants who demonstrate the financial ability to support themselves for the first 2 years of their residence in the country (bank balance, financial assets, revenue from a telecommuting job, or sponsorship from a Freeman), receive an additional 10 points.

Additional points awards may exist in given years, as per the instructions from the legislature, and the discretion of the Crown or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As is already clear, the system is designed to encourage the immigration of individuals who possess a valuable skill or contribution to the Free Kingdom’s society.

Family visa: Permanent residency is available to direct relatives of existing Freemen and Permanent Residents, that is to say, spouses, siblings, parents, children, cousins and uncles/aunts. To prevent abuse, Permanent Residency requires a waiting period of 12 months in which one can travel and work in Allanea, but not, in turn, request Permanent Residency for their own relatives.

Freeman Status: Any individual who lawfully resides in the Free Kingdom for at least 3 months may apply for a Freemanship status. This constitutes a language test in Common or Russian, a psychological test ensuring one’s compatibility with the Free Kingdom’s culture, and a civics test. Upon passing this test the new Freeman is given a copy of the Constitution, a rifle, and sometimes also a small cash gift from a local charity.

Moreover, the King or Queen may waive this process at will, and issue honorary Freeman Status on whoever they choose. While rarely used, this power is without limit, much like the royal power of pardon.

Prohibited Professions: Individuals who are recognized to be members of the bioethics and techno-ethics profession are prohibited from immigrating into the Free Kingdom under the Bioethicist Exclusion Act.

Prohibited Organizations: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs maintains lists of Known Terrorist Organizations, Known Oppressive Governments, Known Slaver Entities and Known Governments Hostile to the Free Kingdom. Their agents, and those deemed associated with these groups in other ways, are denied entry to the Free Kingdom, as are citizens of KOGs and KSEs who are not refugees and otherwise not exempt (for example, abolitionists).

Immigration is of course allowed. The Empire has a robust guest worker program, is one of the most popular destinations for migrants, and has gave many refugees a safe haven from the troubled, war-torn corners of the world.

Border control is rare, only with Eurasia, a country that insists on tight borders and is somewhat unstable and has cold relations with us. With our other neighbors, they are signatories of the Schengen agreement, which is an open border zone, most are also in the European Union as well, but the Schengen Agreement provides for common visa policies and customs. Anyone can travel to France, Switzerland, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Italy, etc, and not need their passport checked and stamped.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has bureaus to manage Schengen related issues and also the federal police, acting as border guards, maintains some control with Eurasian Ukraine.

Immigration is permitted but strictly controlled depending on the country, if it's a Western or East Asian nation then it's not too difficult, but if it's Africa or the Middle East then it's extremely difficult to even be considered for a visa. Visa-free access is only allowed for a small number of countries including the USA and the UK.

Being married doesn't grant you extra leniency in entering.

If you're an illegal immigrant or smuggler you will never make Imarssia home.

If you're found be a terrorist or supporting terrorist groups while entering you will face the death penalty.

If you're actually a refugee then there's gonna be much closer places to go than an island in the Atlantic.

[Coconut Palm Island]

On Coconut Palm Island, all people have the right to enter and exit the country freely, unless there is evidence beyond reasonable doubt that they are a terrorist entering to harm the people of the Island. There is no "border control", and citizenship can be acquired via an online form or at just about any government center, police station, or hospital, and even at some grocery stores.

Coconut Palm Island was founded by refugees fleeing oppressive and tyrannical governments.

Immigration policy in Darussalam is managed by the Labor Commission of the Production Improvement Consultative Board.

There is no quota for migrants, and entrance is fairly unrestricted. Immigrants, like other residents, are mandated to purchase insurance for legal liabilities as a requirement for the Right of Abode. There is no public, universal welfare system for natives and immigrants alike, although there are conditional custodian subsidies for the poor.

The electorate is open for foreign-born and native-born residents - the restriction is on net wealth. Only less than a third of Darussalami adults are eligible to directly vote in general elections of the Terminal Court.

[2nd Brazilian Empire]

The military and Imperial Police is responsible for border control.

Immigration is fairly unrestricted, however, immigration from certain countries are banned. Getting out of the Empire is very hard, though. The government officially classifies emigrants as "traitors", but dual citizenship holders do not fall under such category.
