Welcome to the 2018 Mimeryan election!

The Government of the Sovereign Kingdom of Mimerya welcomes all nations to the 2018 Mimeryan national election!
This election will settle the political future of Mimerya, as the current President Thomas Sienmast is not allowed to run for this office anymore. Please inform yourself about the eligible parties given below and then choose the one you wish to support!

You can find the current distribution of the parliament's seats below.

OOC: All nations are welcomed to try and influence the election by bribing, hacking and so on by commenting. A dice will decide if the action is successful.

The Socialist Government declares the backing of the Mimeryan Workers Party, and the Social Democratic Mimeryan Party. Both parties will be given an undisclosed sum of campaign and financial aid throughout the elections.

Due to distracted officials and a heavy bug in the donations monitoring system, the action is successful.
Both the MWP and the SDMP hesitate, but decide to accept the money as it will be very helpful.

His Excellency chooses to publicily endorse the PfF and the NPM because of their pro-Medwedian attitudes.

At the same time, hackers of the Medwedian Ministry of State Security try to influence the election by hacking into the Facebook accounts of numerous SDMP, Green and LDP functionaries and making controversial posts. The general secretary of the SDMP is offered a US$10M bribe to retire and appoint an unpopular candidate as his successor.

The general secretary of the SDMP is offered a US$10M bribe to retire and appoint an unpopular candidate as his successor.

The Facebook accounts of the SDMP functionaries have a strong firewall and the Medwedian hackers are unable to get past it. They are able to post shady things on the official LDP account, but these get taken down quickly and are said to only have a small impact if any at all. Sadly, the hackers manage to gain access to the account of Green Party-vice chairman Stefen Wehrda, where they upload multiple seedy posts. It is unclear how this will affect the election, but it is obvious that it is not going to have a satisfying end.

After receiving the bribe, the general secretary hesitates and eventually accepts it. Naming Thoran Yenkun, who is notorious for having a criminal past as a gang member, as his successor, he resigns his candidacy but is arrested when his actions are discovered. The new candidate helps the party to gain popularity in shifty spheres, but it loses influence in the middle-class.

Seeing that the facebook accounts of the liberal parties are protected, the Medwedian Ministry of State Security ressorts to spambots posting dirt at very high speeds, slowing down the Facebook sites and surpassing automatic administration systems. Upon ban, new accounts are automatically created to pillage the pages of the politicians, spreading randomly generated fake news and accusations. Numerous high-ranking politicians, including the General Secretary of the SDMP, are accused of misconduct and molestation by fake "women", who start publishing their stories on #MeToo.
