Your nation's reaction to the events of September 11th?

The events of 9/11 were considered not only a tragedy for the US, but a tragedy for the world over. The very next day was considered a day of mourning with a minute of silence dedicated to our American friends and allies.

Um, we sent humanitarian aid to Kentre and other Midworuld nations in response to devastation caused by Cat-4 Hurricane Hygebryht.

Kenmoria sent many messages of solidarity with the victims of 9/11 and one the following day, many people wore black.

The Kingdom sent its sympathies to the families of those who died in 9/11, and people wore black for an entire month.

The event passed over mostly unnoticed in Purpelia. The only response was from the satirical newspaper "The Barbarian" which printed a headline article titled: "Barbarians play chicken with building - fail to duck."

That was on 22 Jumada t-Tania 1422, at that point the former Caliph of Larin (Said Haghen) was visiting Saudi Arabia with his wife and children, although the whole nation was in shock

It was considered an awful tragedy in Ru as well, since at that time we considered the United States to be our greatest friend and ally.

The King at the time stood in solidarity with the US and sent messages of encouragement to victim's families that were in the country at the time.

Well, to be fair... all the usual reaction, plus the mayor got his infamous "SCREW YOU, OSAMA!" letter pumped out in the Herald some time after the attacks.

The Socialist Government and most of Okstovians conveyed their sympathies and condolences to the families devastated by the Sept. 11 terror attacks. They have reached their hand to aid the victims, through extensive psychiatry programs and welfare. The government also promised the Bush administration to help in the extermination of Osama bin Laden.

While we were very shocked by the plane hijacking, we were much more troubled by the harsh security measures imposed on us by the Americans in the months afterwards. It was intolerable!

We gave our condolences to the US government, a formality, but the truth is that many of us kind of cheered at it, and we aren't even Muslim fundamentalists.

Even though Viksberg and the USA hate each other, we gave our condolences to the US government and offered help to the families of the victims. The People's Revolutionary Army of Viksberg was also playing a major role in finding and killing Osama bin Laden.

On that day, the People's Republic of Zhouran sent condolences to the people of the United States. Not only that, the nation would drastically increase military counter-terrorist operations abroad and increase military assistance with nations that have terrorist cells. Meanwhile, back in the homeland, airport security had been bolstered while the Zhouranese People's Army Air Force, despite being at a heightened level of alert prior to 9/11, has been increasing the number of routine air patrols across the archipelago since the event.

Other than that, September 11 is just another day, only difference is the increased security.

IC: Lancov formally expressed solidarity with the United States and offered aid to the relief efforts. Flags over Parliament and the Palace of State were flown at half-mast for one week. Lancov did not directly participate in the War on Terror, though we did share intelligence with the Coalition and permit them access to our airspace.
