We use our own system. It is very much like metric in that the units are all pretty regular, but the sizes are different and as we use a hexadecimal base (base 16) rather than decimal, everything is either made up of 16 or a multiple thereof, or divided into 16.
Wait an hour, and it will be now again

We used to use imperial and it is still used for some things, but we now mostly use metric.

Hamilpore relies on trade using the international system of measurements. The standard is metric with very few exceptions. Of course, due to the influence of the United States, the imperial system is still taught in simplicity.

Combination of metric and imperial (metric is official but imperial is very common in everyday use). Which one is used often depends on what is being measured.
- Height: usually in feet and inches
- Volume: Usuaully ml and liters
- Weight: Typically kg, sometimes lbs

Given that there are more than 50 different ways to define the length of a foot, and given that my feet are too large for everyday use as a measure (and you know what they say about that :) ) , i have decided to implement the metric system.

We use the International System of Units to allow for easy conversations and calculations. However, we do not divide years into months, and one week is equal to 10 days, except for the last week of each year, which contains the last five days. Every four years, to account for the extra 0.25 days at the end of each year, a day 0 is added after day 365, but before the next year's day 1. We also use the Holocene Calendar to record years.
The dates are written like this:
January 14th = D-014 | 14/01/2018 = 12018-014
April 5th = D-095 | 05/04/2018 = 12018-095
December 31st = D-365 | 31/12/2018 = 12018-365
D-000 is written as 12016—12019-000, because it is a combination of the extra 0.25 days from the upcoming four years.

We are a secluded and technologically advanced nation that cares for its human citizens, but does not allow them into major positions of power over others. Our research has shown that allowing humans to rule over other humans can cause unacceptable results. Instead, a network of intelligent computer systems makes all major government decisions.

Since the creation of the kingdom in late 2016, Toin has always used and endorsed the metric system, with the curious exception of the temperature measurement. Temperatures are measured in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. Various cities and towns use the imperial system de facto, however we, as a government, refuse to recognize this legally. A few make up their own measurements, but we also refuse to recognize this as well.

Equestria doesn't really have a unified system of weights and measures. For official government purposes, the Canterlot system is used. It's a hodge-podge of various obscure weights and measures, including things like "hogsheads", "ponyweights", "rods", and so on. It's about as un-metric as you can get, and is really only fully understood by unicorn civil servants. Compounding this is the traditional systems that have grown up in other parts of Equestria. Some of these are pretty far removed from the Canterlot system (Pegasi, for example, have an entirely unique system of measurements used only for clouds) and need a book-sized set of conversion diagrams.

It's things like this that remind us that ponies value tradition over practicality.
