2018 Blorbik Grand Council Elections
Welcome to the elections for the Grand Council of Blorbs. The Grand Council is the unitary house of the highest level of government in Blorbs which acts to form the legislative and judicial bodies of Blorbs. It has several direct democratic components to it with many of its decisions coming down to Blorbik popular vote. The Grand Chairman and Low Grand Chairman will also both be elected in this election, with the Low Chairman being whomever takes second place in the election for Grand Chairman. The Council has 290 seats.
The election will last for 72 hours.
Bluft [Left, Lib]
A large collective party composing itself of Communists of both libertarian and authoritarian varieties, Revolutionary Socialists, syndicalists, and other similar ideologies, including even anarcho-communists. It acts as the vanguard of the proletariat class and hopes to be the united party to represent them. Within even itself, Bluft has significant debate, discussion, and elections as to who they choose to send into the government.
The party was the first official Blorbik party and has its roots directly out of the Bluft Army after the success of the revolution.
Currently, the party majority is the Far-Left Libertarian internal Bluft faction Lilgin with 68% control.
Kuft [Right, Centr]
The second oldest party, itself having its origins from the Kuft army in Blorbs, though made out of a section which quickly separated and declared itself neutral. Kuft seeks for the return to a capitalist market system. Most other policies it is neutral too, and generally is inactive in all respects not regarding the economy.
Kamishzaseritel [Centr-Left, Auth]
Proposing a sort of isolationist socialism, Kamishzaseritel desires for the continuation of the domestic status quo and adopting a policy of near total isolationism. They think that the current situation of Blorbs is absolutely ideal and that things will only get down from here, and propose that it is not our concern of what occurs to those outside of Blorbs, and that internationalism may endanger the loss of the great domestic achievements of Blorbs.
Of [Centr-Right, Auth]
A right wing traditionalist conservative party. It differs from Kuft in that it is less interested in the return of capitalism and is more interested in the return of Mlorbik/Orbik culture and family values, and simply thinks that capitalism is the only way to achieve such values. It thinks that the current society has corrupted the people who live inside of it.
Vrotonaprolozad [Left, Centr]
Vrotonaprolozad, literally “Labour Union”, is a syndicalist party which directly opposes the Bluft party. It has had significant tensions with other syndicalists which choose to take part in the Bluft party, and is viewed by most within Bluft as opening up a weakness in Blorbs. However, it does usually co-operate with the other left parties, and as Blorbs uses an STV system, most members of the party put Bluft as as second choice, and Syndicalists in Bluft also tend to do the reverse.
Nintprolozad [Left, Lib]
A Blorbik Anarchist party which specifically wants to separate itself from any sort of anarcho-communism and is entirely against the whole concept of the Bluft party as a whole. It request immediate and total devolution from the current state of Blorbs and opposes most internationalism as it will strengthen the central Blorbik government that they want to get rid of as soon as possible.
Datraval [Right, Lib]
A libertarian capitalist party, apposing Kuft as being too authoritarian. It has generally been a smaller party than Kuft but in recent times it has been an attraction to Kuft party members who take a stronger libertarian stance.
Valcella I.R Kerman -
Member of Bluft, views herself as a “Center Communist” with more authoritarian sympathies and a general stronger supporter of the status quo. If elected, this would be her third term as Grand Chairman.
Borzilov H.S.P Kerman -
Member of the party Bluft, and also former member of the Bluft Army. A semi-prominent revolutionary in those times, he was fairly young during the revolution so is generally still considered of fit age to rule. He considers himself a “More hardline communist and libertarian”, and puts advancement of society and the freedoms of the people/proletariet at his forefront. Only recently come into politics, he was relatively unknown before but is currently rising as signifcant possibility, especially due to having a direct role in the creation of the country.
Bobfal Kerman -
Member of Kuft, seeks to harshly dismantle the entire current Blorbik economy in a quick and efficient fashion.
James Ivan Kerman -
Member of Of, he directly follows the policy of his party and just desires for a return to conservatism and a return of the old ways and values he had in his childhood. James Kerman is currently the oldest running candidate for Grand Chairman at 81.
Cartet Kiren -
Member of Kamshzeseritel, she desires for complete isolationism and is in strong favour of the status quo, thinking Dictatorship of the Proletariet as the highest state Blorbs can take and that it will merely go down from here.
Fredfal Kerman -
An independant candidate, he is running for re-election after his single term four years ago. He is a self proclaimed Mixed Market Socialist, and holds center-authoritarian civil policy ideals.
Alexandros Kerman -
Member of Datraval, he is the only major candidate not native to Blorbs. Born in Kerthenia, his family move to Orbs just before the revolution when he was only seven. His policies are modeled heavily on Kerthenian politics and ideas, desiring for complete government de-regulation of practically everything.
Werfred Kerman -
Member of Vrotonaprolozad, he seeks mainly to offer a dissenting leftist opinion to Blorbik politics, and hopes that having himself as Grand Chairman can bring in more, new ideas into Blorbs.
