Ostspeak month names are based on Graecolatinate terms and are ultimately derived from the Standard Extrasolar Calendar that was devised by the UNSC at the beginning of the 22nd century when humans started to colonise exoplanets for the first time, though this has been mostly forgotten over the thousands of years since the Collapse.

They are:

Primember, Bicember, Trivember, Tetraember, Pentember, Hexember, September, October, November, December, Pridecember, and Dodecember.

Each of the months is 32 days long, which is designed to fit the Asnean year of 384 days. The year starts on the 1st of Primember, which is the Northern Winter Solstice, and a holiday known as Winterfall.
