Use of cash in your country

Postby Alinghi Federal-Democratic Republic » Sat Dec 30, 2017 12:21 pm

Use of cah in your country. In Alinghi is forbidden to pay in cash over z. 2 500.00 ($ 11 086.48), over this sum you must use other method of payment (credit card, checks etc...).

Furthermore cantons set a cash use tax, all transaction with cash are taxed with this tax of a tot of percent, the tax rate depends from canton the lower tax is in canton Gracemeria, with the tax of 5%, the highest rate are in canton Alinghi is 32.5% (in this canton is very rare the use of cash, the near absolute of residents will use debits card or other methods of payments). The prices show in suoermarkets, catalogues or declared by commerciants are exluded from this tax (because the 90% of transaction was in debit card, or other methods). These tax are applied when you change the money to the zar in the change points or banks.

Cash money isn't just a good thing if you're poor - a survey of various Tinhamptonian businesses (please don't ask about the sampling) reveals that the split is still somewhat in favour of cash for more-frequent smaller payments and card for rarer larger payments, but otherwise split in terms of how often each is used... however, not in terms of what brings how much in. Federal (nominally European) VAT, of course, applies to all applicable transactions.

Almost all Kiravians use cash on a daily basis. Businesses that do not accept card payments are very common, whereas it is unheard of for businesses to not accept cash. In two states, Kiorgia and Itaho-Falkaria, all retail businesses must accept cash payments.

Cash is still very much around. There are still businesses operating almost purely on cash, and it's rare to see anyone (especially a man) without a wallet or just loose notes in their pockets. Debit cards are also often used to acquire cash on the spot. And seriously, how do you voluntarily tip with a card (instead of mandatory or opt-in 'service charges')

Cash is still widely used in Gandoor, even though almost all places of business also accept chip and pin credit or debit cards. Under the law, cash can be used for the payment of transactions of up to 3000 GDY (US$5460).

Cash has been rendered obsolete and an obsolete form of currency for generations now, since most electronically stored information is much more widely available to the general public than physical forms.
Almost all citizens are born with an electronic implant to pay without any need for a separate device to purchase later on in life. Parents are able to choose to exempt their child from this, but most tend to allow it.

Zhouranese Yuans in the form of coins and notes are still overwhelmingly common despite the presence of credit cards. While credit cards are handy, most prefer to also have physical cash as anything electronic isn't always fail-proof. As for the maximum amount of payment from physical cash, there is none. As a result, an individual is allowed to pay the counter with for example up to a million ZNY, although it would take a long time to count all the money, no doubt.

Cash is an antiquated relic of the 21st century. The Carenian Dollar is exchanged solely electronically, through advanced personalized credit cards installed at birth for every Carenian (except for those not born in a government hospital, in that case they can receive a chip at any age at any government building if they can prove their citizenship).

Cash is generally used only for small transaction nor normally exceeding €100 euros. In all other places, cards are preferred. Because if this, some shops for high-value items do not accept cash, but only accept cards. However, there are still some places only accepting cash.

All physical cash has been replaced by government approved chips for all monetary transactions and are closely watched to prevent fraud. Physical money though has become highly collectible, for the amount that still exist.

Cash is very rarely used in Radiatia - in fact it's considered "inefficient" which in Radiatia is one of the worst insults there is.

Generally the only people who use cash in Radiatia are tourists and criminals, and the use of cash will tend to raise suspicion in either case.

Cash is still in common and daily use.

However, electronic transfers are on the rise and increasingly more likely with people in higher economic classes.

Cash and checks are the primary means of transactions in TurtleShroom. Cash can be rather inconvenient, as the national currency is the Skillet, but electronic transfers are still viewed with suspicion. Skillets are literally tiny, iron frying pans. Thankfully, the scores and scores of private currencies (called "Scrip") provide competition to the Skillet. These are normally in the form of bills and coins. While all stores, outside company towns, are required by law to accept the Skillet, acceptance of private currencies as legal tender varies from place to place. The most ubitiquous private currency is the Bessford Dollar, which is actually a stronger currency than the Skillet.

Naturally, credit cards do exist and are used when cash is not on hand, or when the buyer does not wish to use checks. Although TurtleShroomers are more prone to cash and checks, credit cards are readily available. Credit cards, traditionally, are processed using "knuckle busters", formally known as "manual credit card terminals". The card is placed on the device and carbon paper is laid on top of it. The machine is swiped from left to right, and the carbon paper is imprinted. The carbon paper is then presented, either by the store or the customer, to the bank and credit card company, which bills the customer at the end of the month.

In the Socialist Union, cash has no value, since digital currency, which is more credit like, was introduced in 2008, replacing cash.

Prior to digital currency, cash was only used to help coordinate production, and to track on how much workers were contributing to society.

The three main forms of money used in Great Nortend is cash (commonly known as coins and less commonly as specie), banknotes and cheque.

Cash is by far the most commonly used form of money, with over 70 per cent of all payments made in bronze or silver coins. Cash circulates in denominations from half farthing (worth around 6·25 US cents) to the crown of 5 shillings (worth around 30 US dollars), with the most commonly used coins being the halfpenny, penny, threepence, sixpence, shilling, florin and half crown.

Bank notes are not that commonly used, owing to their high values. Bank notes are available from five shillings (more common than the crown coin) to five pounds (worth around 600 US dollars) though the most common denominations are the five shillings, ten shillings and pound.

For more expensive purchases in the higher shilling denominations or in pounds, cheques are often used. Most Nortan banks offer cheque guarantee cards, the possession of which is often required for purchasing at smaller shops.

Other forms of money are also more rarely used. Stamps are sometimes used for payment as they come in often useful denominations and are small. Tokens and other instruments are also sometimes used for payment. In the end, most forms of money usually can be exchanged for cash or specie which is the sole form of legal tender.
