Well, since political parties who run for president need a presidential candidate, they still need someone to run for president. Most likely if they are elected, they won’t be in the office for long as they may change the system of government so our Queen will be the ruler.

So what you're trying to tell me is that Helowi is electing a lame duck president?

Breaking News
A debate has been organized for the top candidates in the race for president. Four candidates (Jefferson, Kellow, Reuter, & Jacobson) have been invited to participate. Currently only 2 of them have accepted (Jefferson & Reuter) the others have said they are still considering. Two other candidates, Max Garrison & Joseph Manson, have demanded that they be invited as well. The committee has said they are considering Garrison, but not Manson due to poor showing in the polls. The debate will be held on January 25th.

Kenmoria's prime minister, Marco Woodson, supports the Nonpartisan Party.
Hello! I’m a GAer and NS Roleplayer from the United Kingdom.
My pronouns are he/him.
Any posts that I make as GenSec will be clearly marked as such and OOC. Conversely, my IC ambassador in the General Assembly is Ambassador Fortier. I’m always happy to discuss ideas about proposals, particularly if grammar or wording are in issue. I am also Executive Deputy Minister for the WA Ministry of TNP.
Kenmoria is an illiberal yet democratic nation pursuing the goals of communism in a semi-effective fashion. It has a very broad diplomatic presence despite being economically developing, mainly to seek help in recovering from the effect of a recent civil war. Read the factbook here for more information; perhaps, I will eventually finish it.

Breaking News
After a final decision from the Debate Commission, Max Garrison has been invited to participate in the debate. After a while of thought by his campaign, he accepted along with Kellow & Jacobson. The only candidate who has not been allowed access was Joseph Manson due to poor results in the polls. Manson responded on his radio show saying “they just don’t want people like me in office. The government of Helowi is trying to rig the election so everyone is against me & not with me. I am finally giving the people what they want in a candidate & the corrupt Helowian government is trying to take away the voice of me.” The government of Helowi responded with a press statement saying “we have no say in who gets invited to the debates & who doesn’t, the Debate Commission does.” The Helowian Debate Commission has not commented on the matter.

Debate Conclusion
Jose Kellow
Governor Kellow performed quite well on the debate. He was quite confident on foreign issues. He did better & after the debate. 43% of helowians said that they would prefer Kellow over Jefferson for president, compared to 34% a week ago.
Nina Reuter
Nina Reuter also did amazingly well at the debate. Specifically with moderate Liberals, & progressives, as well as independents. Her high points were domestic issues, she managed to prioritize an anti-compulsory organ harvesting message, the only major candidate to do so.
Saul Jefferson
Saul Jefferson did not do as well as people expected he would. Most people believe that despite sound well in some moments, he never made any compelling arguments. This may give a slight negative affect to his poll numbers.
Max Garrison
If Max Garrison was hoping to impress with this debate, he did not do so well. He never made any compelling points, and when he tried to, he seemed extremely awkward. He would of done better if he just didn’t come to the debate.
Matthew Jacobson
Matthew Jacobson was the king of gaffs at tonight’s debate. He made multiple factual mistakes, some that most people noticed off the bat. Most people who attended the debate described him as “awkward, fidgety, & weird.” This will most likely kill Jacobson’s standing as a major candidate.
Polls after Debate
Saul Jefferson: 23% -1% change
Jose Kellow: 23% +1% change
Nina Reuter: 22% +1% change
Matthew Jacobson: 16% -2% change
Max Garrison: 3% -3% change
Joseph Manson: 2% +1% change
Undecided/NOTA: 11% +3%
