AquilaJordyn, known as the Stoic Catholic Monarcracy of AquilaJordyn officially, is a lush, species rich Archipelago off of the coast of Portugal, inhabited by the descendants of refugees from the legendary city of Troy, ruled by Queen Patrician Sophia Elizabeth Attalid I, the Lord of Neos Hellas.

AquilaJordyn, it should be said that despite its title, is a proudly and historically religiously free nation, with Catholics, Jews, and Pagan peoples coexisting for millennium, and with Zoroastrian, Orthodox, and Buddhist enclaves forming in the early 20th century.
Historically, the islands that the nation inhabits were ruled by a strongly matriarchal & tribal society, called the Jordy’ii’le peoples. The first fathers & mothers, those people who founded the nation, both Trojan war refugees & devout Jews hoping to find safe harbor on the fringes of the Roman empire settled in AquilaJordyn in a year unknown. In 196 A.D. the nations foundress, Saint Josephine of Antioch would declare the Archipelago's independence, culminating at the battle of L’Quillae wall, which is still located in the nations capital, with the first fathers & first mothers successfully staving off an attack by the first roman legion. The AquilaJordynite people have been ruled by many, from the Romans & Holy Roman empire to the British, but remain fiercely their own, loyal to their land, loyal to their customs, loyal to their faith.
Holôssi Sil
Located in the district of Etrusca, Holôssi Sil, pronounced Hola-ssi-ssil, is both the nations capital and the place where all embassy locations shall reside. Specifically, the Queen Patrician has chosen the site “The North Ridge” along North Ridge road, which is located just behind the Castle Sarpedon proper, where the Queen Patricians court can be located. The location was chosen for its closeness to the Castle. Locations closer to downtown Holôssi Sil do exist, should one be desired.
The view embassy's located on the North ridge site can expect. In the back: The Beor mountains, where the towering behemoth known as "the throat of the world" stands over the world at 30,000 plus feet.
Ambassadors can expect to see various migratory whale species nursing their young in the Northern Lucet Stellae Bay, and can enjoy the sight of an indigenous Blue Penguin colony along the beach below North ridge road.
A beloved adult male Blue penguin some citizens have named "Bert" who lives within the North ridge colony.
Downtown
East Main Street, Holôssi Sil
Without a doubt, downtown Holôssi Sil, a popular tourist destination, is the place to encounter AquilaJordynites. The ancient city, once an outpost for Venetian Patricians, bleeds culture with a network of catacombs under it, fantastic museums, and not to mention, a lively nightlife. Within the country, the language of the people is split between Latin, Greek, and Aramaic, with Latin being known by almost everyone within the Capital, so if an ambassador should wish to interact with the average Holôssi Silian, this is the language they should master however, as the Queen Patrician puts a high priority on every student coming out of the education system being poly-lingual, ambassadors who end up staying for a lengthy period of time might find that the people start to speak their native tongue! Should one want to make friends with an AquilaJordynite of any age however, expect them to be difficult to keep up with, both mentally & physically, as AquilaJordynites are a sharp, intelligent people, and seemingly everyone has a gym membership or at least eats healthily. Holôssi Sil is without parallel on earth when it comes to food preparation. AquilaJordynite cuisine is made from organic, fresh ingredients from the mountains, farms and seas. The cuisine revolves around the sea as the life of AquilaJordynites does, with rich, hearty seafood dishes being common across the palette. However, vegetarian & terrestrial meat options do exist, and are usually easy to find, as the nation is a very health conscious & diverse society. There are many activities to take part in throughout AquilaJordyn, from sailing, guided boat tours, hikes, scuba diving, conventions or simply sitting down for a chat.
It is safe to say that if you visit AquilaJordyn, no matter where you are, you are bound to be called into someones house for Chai tea with cookies, a meal, or even a place to rest for the night. Just listen for the sound of the traditional way of calling someone in for a meal: an AquilaJordynite singing bowl, or a loud “Salve amiccismo!!”, meaning, hello my great friend!! AquilaJordyn is that place where the door is always open, and the whole neighborhood knows your name.
AquilaJordyn welcomes all nations to apply for an embassy, as she is open to all those who are open to her, however it should be said, by order of her stoicness, Queen Patrician Sophia Elizabeth Attalid I, that I cannot accept any nations who intend to bring non-native outdoor plants, or unvaccinated/unspayed pets to the Archipelago, as our islands are rich in biodiversity, with some species found only on one, maybe two islands of the Archipelago and nowhere else on earth. I do apologize, and if a nation would like to lodge a concern with this, they may do so in their application, and I will forward the concern to the ministry of the interior for a decision regarding the concern of yours, but our policy to not accept pets & plants which do not meet our strict standards are just that unfortunately, strict.
