Nation Name: Borairr

Short Description of National History: It was founded centuries ago by a fishing clan and a farming clan. It was a monarchy up until 1889, when communist guerilla fighters captured the king, prince, and son of the Borairr throne, and killed 1/3 of the royal family. They were weak but had no opposition due to the army being weak after strong budget cuts due to the economic stress. It wasn't until 1895 when a group was finally united under the common hatred of the communist regime. Five former soldiers and two scientists posed as political allies to the regime on a steamboat ride when the boat exploded as apart of rebel sabotage. 125 people were killed, including a good part of the communist regime. The former monarchy used their remaining funds to come out of exile and fund the rebels, supporting a coup in 1896. By the 20th century the monarchy had retaken the throne. In 1906 the parliament was reformed and in 1912 the economic crisis ended, with Borairr becoming a power by the 20's.

The monarchy dissolved in 1955 and the prime minister held a vote to decide who the newest president would be. They would change every 5 years, with their next term, if they were relected, being only 2 years long.

The Emmelon were mountainous people who kept to themselves and watched over Moffet's Mouth, a large tributary and lake in the mountains. The Emmelon and Mohan united against the Borairr however the three eventually found peace and united into an empire. The Whalen eventually joined up. The four ethnic groups are very friendly to foreigners and to eachother. The Whalen and Mohan are usually those who are fascinated with the unknown and love to travel and meet other cultures. 4/5 of the Borairr Cosmonauts are Whalen. The Mohan are slightly more secluded but are still welcoming. They have the most pride in their history. The Borairr are the same however are the most patriotic. A stereotype for them is that they are loud and determined but also friendly. The Emmelon are more secluded however are still friendly like the other cultures. They are famous for their mountain festivals in their mile high city of Maccarim. They still have a queen, Queen Kelley McKowan, who is also a current parliament member.
