No, ISPs are free to throttle as they see fit, or to create pricing plans that reflect different levels of internet access.

In saying that, it's not really much of an issue in Radiatia as most companies know consumers will simply jump to a competitor if they engage in unfair money-grabbing tactics.

The internet is a protected utility and websites cannot be blocked behind a paywall. The internet has been a protected utility since Agenca was founded.

The internet has been officially defined as a 'universal service', stating that it is a basic human right -- infringing on these rights, such as unequal data charges, is illegal, and corporations found to be practicing this will be banned from selling in Orbis System.

There is full net neutrality in Ashensland, to the point where it would be blasphemous for companies to not be so. If any company doesn’t comply, they’ll be forcibly terminated from Ashensland, with the Government supplying internet service to those who were using the terminated internet service.

The Idea is this: What if the United Kingdom fell under it’s current reign, and Stuart Ashen was the only man who could restore it to it’s former glory? The result would probably be this.

Stuart Ashen is different from what he is in real life, and while his personality is the same as usual, he can do a few things he couldn’t in real life.

Yes and no.

Firstly no, because the principle of net neutrality is not enshrined in Woodlake law. There are no restrictions on what an ISP can show, block, slow down or charge extra for.

But also yes, because our largest ISP, Ubinet, provides complete and unhindered access to its paying customers. Ubinet is publicly owned, government subsidised and not for profit. And its existence is mandated by federal law, meaning legislation would have to pass through the Federal Council and all three Regional Assemblies for it to cease.

Yes.
Rapture City

  • In the underwater city, two roles have emerged from the City's ongoing civil war: the City Monitors who defend the peace and the Red Caps who fight against unjust systems. The city's infrastructure is crumbling under its own weight and kinship is snuffed by the paranoia of totalitarianism. Yet the people would be in for a surprise as their virtual overlord have died many years ago as the oppression continues under his name...
  • Not an 1-1 exact replica of Bioshock lore and Rapture City. Only the city's atmosphere and setting is maintained.

Some data on the internet is considered to be more important in the Socialist Union, such as state records, or security files, than other forms of data, such as photographs of daily life or fashions.

Not exactly. You get internet access in any of our provinces, or districts, but it is slow. One of the reasons behind this is the censoring of hate speech and speciesist language.

Internet access has always been a controlled affair in Segland, with the government making use of increasingly sophisticated methods to censor and influence the flow of information online. Apart from government intervention, internet service providers are not barred from charging premiums for faster connections, and the relative variety of telecommunications firms in Segland ensures that unreasonable and exploitative charges are quickly eliminated from the market.

Net neutrality is practiced fully, however the government has the right to censor websites.

Yes. There were boycotts and protests that sometimes turned violent when it was found that ISPs were invading privacy and conspicuously blocking certain websites. Mind you, this was during Louin Sienité's chaotic term, so it wasn't JUST this that caused such civil unrest, but it majorly contributed. Net Neutrality was implemented shortly after his impeachment, so it is rather new.

The Government of Moronist Decisions has determined that there should be net neutrality for academically acceptable material. The University of Moronist Decisions Division of Information Technology Services (and Department of Computer Science) is the only telecommunications service in Moronist Decisions, and any reason for material to be blocked or shut down is handled through the academic misconduct process.

No, The Black Party's Ministry of Propaganda decide what any citizen is allowed to watch, hear, see, read, etc, online.

Sounds bad, but I swear it isn't, really. We just try to slow down connection to anime and p0rn sights to encourage people to go outside. If someone's on a site like those more then twice a day, State Police comes in and kicks down their door.

Net neutrality was enshrined in the law by the current administration, before it never was that much of an issue as there was a lot of competitions in the ISP market.
