The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced today that the first phase of a new space program has been developed.

The nation's first telescopes have been developed to study the stars and galaxies above. The telescopes are located in Valley Heights, in Wusite County. The location was chosen deliberately as Valley Heights has relatively low light pollution and is home to Borderlands College. It is hoped that Valley Heights will become a center of space research and exploration, reviving a long-stagnant economy.

The Government has successfully purchased the city of Llastres, located right on the Pacific coast.

The city has a population of around 105,000 people. The local economy revolves around the refinement, transport, and storage of petroleum products.



The city also has a large port, and and air and rail connections to the rest of the country, further inland.

The city will receive the status of a territory, which entitles it to most of the rights and privileges of being a province. Further integration is expected in the future.

The Uzumaki Empire has threatened to attack Bruke unless it surrenders to them and becomes their colony. Citizens are advised to follow the Civilian Protection Protocol and head to the nearest Evacuation Center. The Civil Guard had been deployed along the Borderlands Highway, and had closed it off to traffic. All foreigners are advised to leave the country as soon as possible.
