Our cities strive to cooperate with other cities in other countries.
Therefore, the Republic of Vietnam has introduced a sister city program to improve ties between our cities and cities in other nations.

Cities:

Saigon

Saigon is the capital of South Vietnam and also serves as it's political and economic center.
It also has many cultural sites, making it popular with tourists.
It's population numbers 8,426,100 and it is rated as one of Asia's most modern and liveable cities by critics.
Saigon's mayor, Bảo Ngọc Tư, is happy to welcome new sister cities.

Da Nang

Da Nang is an important trade hub and with a population of 1,346,876, it also is South Vietnam's second largest city. (Third-largest in Vietnam in general, after Saigon and the North Vietnamese capital of Hanoi)
The city is well known for it's beaches and the Dragon Bridge, which is notable for it's lighting effects.
It also is home to shipyards and other industrial areas, making it one of Southeast Asia's key industrial centres.

Can Tho

Can Tho is the third-largest city (Population of 1,237,300) in South Vietnam and is an important trade hub, due to it's location in the Mekong Delta.
The city greatly benefits from it's massive trade and also is famous for it's cuisine.

Nha Trang

Nha Trang is a city located in Khánh Hòa province in central South Vietnam.
It's population is 420,521 and the city is well-known for it's beached, making it a hub for tourism.

Hue

Hue is the capital of Thừa Thiên-Huế province and is well-known for being the former imperial capital of the Nguyễn dynasty.
It has a population of 354,124 and the city is rather close to the Vietnamese DMZ, albeit this doesn't hinder the city's growth.

Vung Tau

Vung Tau is located south of Saigon and serves as Saigon's port to the South China Sea, making it a important trade hub for the country.
It is located in the Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu province and has a population of 450,000.
The city is also known for it's beaches, rivaling Nha Trang in that matter.

Buon Ma Thuot

Buon Ma Thuot is the capital of Đắk Lắk province and is the center of the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
It has a population of 420,000.
