I had an idea quite recently. Political Stability as stat. A nation can't show off his power to the world if it has political instability, factions fighting for power, separatism, social and economic instability, a insanely large bureocracy, high taxes, etc.

In other words, you are suggesting that we add something within our form that questions the current political stability in your nation?

That does seem to be an interesting idea. Yes, we will likely consider adding this as a question very, very soon. Though nations may already add info related to this under the "any additional notes about your nation" section, we feel as if this potential question is much too important to simply be labeled as a mere "bonus fact."

After thinking of how the wording will be for this question (or questions, to be more precise), we have finally decided for it to be the following:

If your nation has multiple political parties, how frequent does your government fight amongst each other? Do these internal conflicts regularly cause your government to fail in making important decisions?

Credit goes to the -United Republic of Freedonia for suggesting the idea in the first place. This might as well be one of the most important questions there is for a nation who wishes to submit a power level form within this thread. That being said, it may seem like a mouthful to answer, but we feel as if this question will still be a relatively-simple one, just like the other such questions within the power level form. If your nation possesses political parties, then go ahead and answer these two adjoined questions for us to note of the current political stability in your country. Your answers may be as simple as you may see fit.

If no political parties exist within your nation, then we will assume that very little (or none at all) conflicts exist within your governmental body, and you will be fully welcome to simply write "N/A" next to this section. Should your nation possess only one existing political party within your government (which does sound unusual, but it is a reality within certain countries), then yes, you are not required to answer this question, either.

[Naturally, we expect almost all dictatorships (including us) and power level applicants who are technically not even countries, such as BNL Buffer States, Garden at 6th Mile Road, and Crumpled pice of printer paper, to be ineligible for these two questions.]

Your nation's full population: It's hard to say exactly. By my count, about six or eight new bodies have been received since I was put in. Central Overseer Virgo says there are lots more. He explained that the number of 'people' here cannot be counted since doing so would apparently break the laws of reality? He mentioned Hilbert's paradox of the Grand Hotel. A guest wants to be accommodated into the hotel, but can't since all rooms are occupied. But, if they simultaneously move guest 1 to room 2, and guest 2 to room 3 and so on, eventually room 1 is empty and the guest can be moved into that room. So, it is possible to make room for a finite number of people in an infinite amount of space, yet still fill it completely. I didn't understand it, but he also told me that there are basically no 'people' here, and that included me. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that there is an infinite amount of people here, but there are none? I have no idea, but it's like they're treating everything that moves here worthless. [ 0 ]

I'm loosing my vision from all of this madness around me, but there's certainly no organized system of any sorts around here. Hell, maybe no state or official body for quadrillions of quadrillions of light years. [ N/A ]

How economically-independent is your nation? There's no economy, there's no receiving anything of monetary value, or of value at all. There's only taking. They take and take and take away, ripping off soul after soul from body after body. Those who are lucky are swept away the moment they've landed here. Quick and painless. Others like me erode and rot away slowly. [ N/A ]

How many personnel are in your military? It's hard to say. Overseer calls them soldiers of hell, and rightfully so. Their claws eat away, and resemble sickles, prodding and picking at the land senselessly until they're dead. Maybe there are an infinite amount of these beasts, who knows. I've met others just like me, prisoners of this retched wasteland, and they called them 'Lurkers', or devils. I guess I'm about to find out which name is appropriate. [ ∞ ]

Just how big or small is your nation? Long ago, the furthest memories I can ever recall, I remember scouring the area looking for food or for viable means of communication. I only found mangled bodies and decaying matter. But I climbed up one of these tall piles, and after an exasperating hike to the peak, I couldn't see a horizon. It's like I'm living in a nightmare that I can't snap out of. I tried remembering why I was sentenced here, but I couldn't recall anything before I awakened. Recently, Overseer said that there are no words to even begin to describe how far-reaching this is, and how endless it is. Here in this hellish pit, I guess there are only absolutes. [ ∞ ]

On a scale of 1-10, how prepared is your nation against natural disasters? These soldiers of hell, Overseer calls them, I can't distinguish them from natural or supernatural any more. I can't even distinguish reality versus dreams anymore. I feel like I'm fading into a deep, dark disastrous abyss-- these beasts are natural, right? Were they sent here by the devil Himself? Is He natural? He's calamity and torture, he's endless pain and suffering itself, it doesn't matter anymore. [ 0 ]

What is the tech level of your nation? Overseer says it's been many, many, many years since my departure from 'reality,' so anything could have happened while I was away. [ NO TECH ]

Does your nation have weapons of mass destruction? If so, how many weapons, and what are they? I wish I had anything to protect my feeble decaying form, but sadly there's only... unspeakable amounts of bodies and body parts just laying around endlessly here. Those beasts ravage the land constantly. At first their screeching howls almost made me claw my ears out, but after hearing it for all of my life up until this point, it's sort of soothing now. Certain death at a blink of an eye, just one of those beasts could turn their gaze towards me and finally end it all. [ N/A ]

Has your nation colonized other planets or objects in space? Whenever I look up, I see blood. The sky, the ground, it seems as if its all just bodies. There's no Sun, there's no clouds, it's all just red, rivers flowing with red, eyes fill with red, my fingers, it's all... it's hell, isn't it? [ N/A ]

Just how sanitary is your nation? Sanitation is not part of their vocabulary. That word, sanitary, I haven't heard of that in such a long time-- but somehow I can remember learning it before I was sentenced here. I constantly use photographic memory, but each time I close my eyes I can only see the eyes of death, the endless horizon-less pit of hell that I reside in. [ N/A ]

Any additional notes about your nation: [ BNL Buffer States is a dimension where prisoners of all shapes and sizes come to meet Satan and Death themselves. A total anarchy at one point, it even had a functioning system where officials could monitor and maintain a sense of order. But unbeknownst to them, it quickly deteriorated into madness when prisoners possessing dark magic abilities combined forces and broke out. Unknowingly, they had set off portals from other worldly dimensions, and creatures began roaming throughout the lands.]

OOC: Unless there is information within their factbooks that clearly state otherwise, I automatically assume that the information a nation places within their power level form is 100 percent true. Becoming a 10/10 nation is not something to be desired at all times, so it's definitely not worth stooping so low that you're willing to lie to me for the sake of obtaining such a high rank. I'm only ever going to remember nations that have a unique concept or possess something that catches my eye. Simply being a 10/10 is good in general, but nobody exactly cares beyond that.

Bragging on how "Oh, I'm a 10/10, so bow down before me!" and anything related to that is simply hilarious, and rather repetitive, especially when you take the fact that I have labeled possibly a minimum of 100 or so nations within the 10/10 ranking. It's nothing new, and I'd much rather see an application made by a nation that is dominated by, I dunno, apes and chimps than yet another universe-destroying godmodding country who's so powerful that I don't need to even take 10 seconds of my time to conclude what their ranking is. (Not every 10/10 is that powerful, but some have been placed there due to weapons that literally decimate entire dimensions. Clearly, or at least somewhat clearly, they wanted to be a high rank just to show off.)

One more thing: If you're a 10/10, then you won't be able to roleplay militarily (if you were planning on doing so) with other countries unless you nerf yourself by a significant amount, since most nations out there actually want to worldbuild realistically, meaning that the nations that they own are not exactly too powerful. Only exception to this is when you want to roleplay with nations of a similar power level (i.e. 10/10), or if other roleplayers actually let you unleash your full fury without nerfs, in which case I can safely say that such roleplays will only last for a few minutes or hours due to you winning by sheer and utter dominance. Roleplays aren't meant to show off your power; they're meant to create an enjoyable story for both the participants and for potential readers. Being a 10/10 because you simply wanted to is sometimes considered a hindrance to a nation by me for this reason.

ICly, being the most powerful country is desired by many, but OOCly, people aren't going to care very much, if at all. It's just a rank, just like the other such ranks (i.e. 0/10-9/10) within this thread.

And to close it off... not speaking for all of y'all out there, but I'm sure that most of you are looking for a more realistic or unique country than... something like the following scenario:

These were some... interesting applications, to say the least. The former one dealt with an extremely secretive street gang, with said gang apparently being more powerful than 2/10 nations at the bare minimum.

As for the latter form... it, in summarized words, describes a monumentally-primitive group of inhabitants who, for some reason, are allied (or are technically a part of) with the 10/10 nation of Elvectica, a country whose influence has spread across the entire multiverse. Due to this, we might be forced to rank this... incredibly powerless tribal group as a 7/10 or higher, depending on how far their ally, Elvectica, is willing to defend them against potential opponent nations/tribes/whatever resides within their home planet.

Due to concerns over both nations' forms, we have decided to send telegrams to each of the respective countries in order for us to rank them appropriately.

We had taken, at minimum, 3 to 4 hours of thinking in order to design the wording for this particular question. Simplicity was a primary concern, just like the other such questions within our power level form, but since we are questioning politics, which is a highly-complicated subject to touch on within a country, we felt as if detailed and very specific words would suffice here.

That being said, due to regularly-occurring concerns of the fact that some nations' governments don't even possess multiple political parties in the first place, and since said governments may still fight amongst each other (as stated by you), we have decided to temporarily reduce the question(s) to the following:

How frequent does your government fight amongst each other? Do these internal conflicts regularly cause your government to fail in making important decisions?

Note how we mentioned the word "temporarily" in our previous sentence. This is because we do not know if any nations that will submit forms (from this date and onward) will immediately realize that we are questioning the political stability within their government. Should a plethora of future applicants grow confused as a result, we will once again revert back to the original version of our question(s).
