Psychotic Dictatorship

I will post two statistics, one referring to the country in 1950 and 1970

Your nation's full name: The Hispaniolan State

Your nation's full population: 18.96 million (as of 1950), 24 million as of 1970

Your nation's founding date (if you have one): Hispaniola declared independence in 1821, however its current form of government (the Estado Novo) was declared in 1942

Your nation's type of government: It is a Unitary Totalitarian one party state under a Personalist Military dictatorship

How frequent does your government fight amongst each other? Do these internal conflicts regularly cause your government to fail in making important decisions? There are internal power struggles between the branches, the Hispaniolan National Army constantly advocates for greater resources and involvement in the Soruin Protectorates, while the Hispaniolan Navy instead advocates for greater resources and involvement in world affairs elsewhere.

How economically-independent is your nation? It is a export based economy, although there are some goods that it cannot produce itself, there has been government efforts to stand up the industry and supply chains to provide these goods.

How many personnel are in your military? As of 1970 the Armed Forces has a total of 480'000 servicemembers

How many nations is your nation allied with? It is part of the Soruin Group, a political, military, and economic alliance comprising Hispaniola, Andalusia, Vanburia, and a number of Protectorates and Client States carved out of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Lusitania, numbering about 7, with the Kingdom of Taychend as a Observer to the Alliiance.

Just how big or small is your nation? It comprises about the same amount of territory as the Caribbean

On a scale of 1-10, how prepared is your nation against natural disasters? I'd say a solid 6 or 7, it has robust emergency response services in the Military reserves, Civil Guard and the Ministry of the Interior, but a comparative lack of funding to other parts of the Government.

What is the tech level of your nation? With the exception of the Military which is comparatively modern (1970's) overall the tech level of Hispaniola is about 10 years behind the international average

Does your nation have weapons of mass destruction? If so, how many weapons, and what are they? Yes, Hispaniola has a Nuclear and Chemical weapons program, the Nuclear arsenal includes: 164 Trebuchet class ICBM's, 100 Catapulta class IRBM's, and 175 Hurricane class SLBM (Submarine launched Ballistic Missiles), with a 12'000 kg Weapons grade nuclear material stockpile.

Has your nation colonized other planets or objects in space? It has several satellites but not much else

Just how sanitary is your nation? This is a good question, but i'd rank it closer to Brazil's favela situation than Japan. While Hispaniola has spent significant sums of money on electrifying and improving public infrastructure throughout the country (buoyed by the additional revenue coming from the Protectorates), it hasn't been made a priority for the Regime in comparison to the Military, and combined with systemic corruption has led to less than ideal results.

Any additional notes about your nation:
Will probably update later when i get better answers to certain questions =)
