(Yes, I know there was a thread like this recently, but I have a variation on it)

This is a simple survey kind of thing, with the following format:

Example
Title: No1 Platoon
Genre: Sitcom
Synopsis: The adventures of a militia platoon formed from various zany and relateable charecters, follows many sitcom tropes but tries to set itself apart.
Popular reception: generally well liked, but not thought of us very funny, but at the very least amusing.

post more than one if you want, thought it would be a bit more fun rather than just listing imaginary shows.

Title: Life in Bluelight
Genre: Sitcom
Synopsis: 6 10 and 11-year olds play with each other after school; either at the playground, park or at home. Many crazy things happen like a bike on fire. But they work together to fix the problem. But usually they’re funny.
Popular reception: One of the most liked shows in the nation. And that’s Endlessly. Has a rating of 9.7/10 on the BTSRP.

Title: Spider-Fish
Genre: Crime
Synopsis: A mild-mannered fish is bitten by a radioactive spider and uses the resulting spider-powers to fight crime.
Theme Song:
Spider-Fish, Spider-Fish,
He does everything spiderish.
Popular reception: Originally, people were confused about how a fish could be bitten by a spider but they don't seem to have a problem with a fish-bowl swooping from building to building on spider-webs.

Title: The Professor

Genre: Science-Fiction

Synopsis: A basic synopsis of the series would be impossible to give, as the series has evolved in format throughout the years. At the series beginning, it focused on The Professor and Jo, two aliens who were the last known survivors of their destroyed home planet, stranded on Earth with a disabled and unusable ship. They would recruit the assistance of Harry Hardwick, a teenager who lost his parents in the recent Gandoor Civil War, and the three of would travel around Gandoor fighting against aliens and other monsters that were attempting to invade.

After a few years, it was decided that the best way to keep the series fresh would be changing The Professor's travelling companions every few programmes (programme being the Gandoorese English term for what you'd call a season in US English or a series in UK English) with Harry and Jo leaving at the end of the 5th programme. In practice, however, this didn't pan out and The Professor ended up working with the character Alexis Kabyka from the 8th programme in 1964 until the 17th programme in 1973, with Jo returning to the program in 1968.

Following Alexis's departure from the show, it changed formats completely. The concept of 'the assistant' was dropped and The Professor and Jo traveled alone and their ship was finally repaired, so instead of remaining exclusively on Earth, they would travel to various alien worlds and fight against threats on other planets in addition to Earth. This format for the show would remain until it came to a (temporary) end in 1997.

With the series revival in 2011, the assistant concept was reinstated and from the 1st programme of the revival (42nd overall) would now see The Professor, Jo, and their assistant travelling across Earth and space to combat dangerous and threats.

At the end of the 9th programme in 2019, however, the character of The Professor, who had been played by Tom Williamson since the show began in 1958, would pass away, passing his title on to Jo. From the 10th programme on, the series has featured the characters of Jo and Danielle Archer, who continue to defend the Earth and the universe from any aliens that want to conquer it.

Popular reception: Due to the series immense longevity (being originally broadcast for 39 years from 1958 to 1997 and the revival has been broadcast for 11 years), the The Professor is widely considered a cultural institution in Gandoor, with the various heroes, villains, monsters, and even certain episodes and lines from the show being recognizable to the average citizen. Effectively everyone who has grown up in Gandoor since the series began has watched the show, with many people such as celebrities, politicians, etc. being fans. Nikolai Olanovich Semenov, the current Gandoorese Prime Minister, openly admits that The Professor has been his hero since he first began watching the show as a child, for example.

In terms of viewership, the series has been at the top of ratings in its timeslot since the revival, with the last few programmes having an average of 13.4% viewership per episode.

Title: The Bishop of Lamb Street

Genre: Sitcom

Synopsis: Follows the exploits of a highly religious father desperately trying to keep his dysfunctional family together, and the conflict between himself and his atheist older daughter. Later seasons have tended to focus on supporting characters, like the breakout character "Potato Pete", a local drunk who has gone from being a minor character in early seasons to regularly having entire episodes centred around him in later seasons.

Popular reception: The first season aired in 1997 and was a fairly low budget affair that became a surprise and runaway success both in Alizeria and internationally. The second season and beyond had a much higher budget and have tended to feature cameos from celebrities (both foreign and domestic) and special episodes set in exotic locations. The show also won awards for occasionally tackling difficult subjects like gambling, drug use and premarital sex, which are all taboos in Alizeria and rarely referenced on television.

Later seasons have focused less on the central family and more on other characters, and from the 12th season (2009) onwards the show was considered to have "jumped the shark" with plots tending to be gimicky and nonsensical. The show, particularly reruns of the early seasons, still receives high ratings and appearing on the show is now considered to be something of a rite of passage for up and coming Alizerian comedians and actors planning to "make it" in the entertainment industry.

I decided to do Kenmoria's comedy program

Title: A brave person's tale
Genre: Comedy
Synopsis: A small village located in the North-West district of Kenmoria surrounded by a river. Every show, one person is focused on them and their misadventures
Popular reception: very popular, seen by many as one of the funniest shows about and also enjoys some popularity in other countries. However it has faced criticism for having little to no plot, instead focusing more on humour.

A show featuring a character possessing a doctorate and his companion Jo who in later seasons have their ship become fully operational so their stories are no longer earthbound was cancelled in the late 20th century and revived 15 years later. It has extreme longevity and is regarded as a staple of Gandoorian television.

Title: What Lernea Doesn't Know
Genre: Political drama/thriller
Synopsis: Following the life of a fictional Tribunal member, Markus Numbry, through various deals that oftentimes involve shady back-alley practices, broken promises, and dealings with foreign powers and even criminal enterprises.
Popular reception: One of the highest-rated scripted shows in Yygdrai, and possessing of various small cult followings in most other nations that air the program. Has one of the most disgustingly divisive online fandoms on the Internet for any live-action series, and it's generally agreed among most Yygdraii that the less Amanda Rassen (a character who everyone has strong reasons to ship with someone) is discussed in public, the better. The Queen herself has made multiple cameos, one famously involving slapping Mr. Numbry across the face. Currently in the middle of its eleventh season.

Title: Confined
Genre: Game Show
Synopsis: Ten people. Two hosts. One hundred locks. One million Fouldings. Who can escape their cell the fastest, especially when none of them know how far the others are progressing?
Each week, the two cohosts will present the contestants with a challenge, which occasionally involves a prop being dropped into their room. Whoever completes a given challenge fastest, or most accurately, has one of the locks of their cell opened . . . and, with three challenges per episode, you'd think each season would go by in a hurry. However, at the end of each episode, all contestants can vote to re-seal one of their competitor's locks. Without knowledge of anyone's cell number but their own and whoever wins each challenge, things get hairy pretty quickly!
Popular reception: Phenomenal. The single highest-rated show in Yygdraii history, to the point where anything else airing at 6:00 PM is a lost cause. On its fifth season.

Vygant the Mechanical Armada - ReVolt
Genre: Sci-fi/Action/Drama
Synopsis: The best damned animated series in Yygdraii history. Set in a spacefaring future, the titular Vygant is an ever-growing mercenary company headed by Jezant, a psychic woman with Yygdraii military training and an incredible strategic mind. The initial series was a children's show which ran from 1976 to 1981, but it received a significant reboot in 2002 which made the plot more cohesive and adult, removed certain "toy bait" characters altogether, and focused more on social and political ramifications of large intergalactic empires using a huge mercenary group to handle skirmishes. Since Season 5, it has not strayed away from an episode or two each season that makes social or political commentary, and the ever-expanding relevant cast has attracted a bevy of voice actors and actresses from around the globe to participate.
Popular reception: Sing the theme song in public. We dare you. You're going to be in the middle of a sing-a-long in moments, and any street performers will immediately chime in with their best rendition of the instrumental portion.

Think what would happen if you put the UK and Switzerland on an island that's half Hawaii and half Japan, and you get this country.

Politically, a slight twist on a Parliamentary system, with a young ruler dedicated primarily to education and healthcare on the throne at the moment.

Militarily neutral, does a lot of banking and arms manufacturing. Typically, they don't fight in wars, they just get blockaded from time to time so that one side loses access to Yydraii supplies.

Culturally very strange, but we have a booming entertainment sector internationally.

Socially, generally about as friendly as a bunch of people who prefer to mind their own business can be.

Climate-wise, basically half Hawaii, half England.

Title: Natural Beauty on Mysterious Islands
Genre: Tourism, Documentary, Comedy, Current Affairs
Synopsis: Ran 2034, 2042-present (2060). Written by Xenopolis' discoverer, Max Palaku, it was originally a tourist/documentary program to promote the newly discovered Xenopolis. It only aired one season in 2034. However, after a long hiatus in 2042, after political turmoil in England and the commonwealth, Palaku hastily wrote and directed a second charity season to promote Xenopolis as a commonwealth refugee nation and fund an evacuation. Due to massive international attention,
Palaku continued the show as an independent Xenopolitan government was established at which point, in the start of the 4th season the show became a semi-satirical promotion of Xenopolitan culture and current affairs. Its title inadvertedly becoming a semi-satirical nod to the country's culture.
Popular reception: The show's first season was ignored, however its second season gained international acclaim as a raw humanitarian passion project which saved millions of lives. From season 4 onwards, it's been a flagship of Xenopolitan television. Rated 8.4 on imdb.

Title: Historical Industrial Complex
Genre: Sci-fi, Education, Drama
Synopsis: A Xenopolitan teenager is kidnapped by the secret service of a dictatorship from a dystopian future, cloned, and trapped in time, hundreds of thousands of parallel universes in each of which she lives in each country going west to east from 10000BC to 2045AD. Changing history with whatever choices she makes. The show mostly follows the exploits of the clone Phi-1672. As the show progresses, Phi interacts with her other clones' parallel universes and a gradually heating cold war between the clones and the dictatorship from the future develops.
Reception: Seen as an extremely ambitious semi-educational run through world history. Criticised for being too violent and brutal in its depiction of history for a family show and for taking an indecisive demeanour on disputed historical events. Rated 9.3 on imdb.
Pro: Liberty, Liberalism, Capitalism, Secularism, Equal opportunity, Democracy, Windows Chauvinism, Deontology, Progressive Rock, LGBT+ Rights, Live and let live tbh.
Against: Authoritarianism, Traditionalism, State Socialism, Laissez-Faire Capitalism, Autocracy, (A)Theocracy, Apple, "The ends justify the means," Collectivism in all its forms.

Title: All Hail Survivor
Genre: Action-horror-comedy, science fiction
Synopsis:
A random, episodic show of a group of plucky, half-insane survivors in an apparently incurable zombie apocalypse. Written by and starring Bruce Davis, an entertainment commentator, and Lawrence Xavier, a comedian, it details the adventures of a WWII veteran with PTSD-turned millionaire, two wisecracking SWAT officers, a rock star on painkillers, the local chainsaw-wielding psychopath, and even a taxi driver with “special needs” education- among other characters that occasionally also appear on the show. It’s general focus is on globe-trotting in stolen vehicles across the post-apocalyptic world, with the characters losing all their weapons and supplies and gaining them back every other day. Generally meant to be parodies of several pop-culture or nerd-culture media, it’s expanded into its own series on its own. Mock “holiday specials” exist, one in particular the “Survival Games-“ a mockery of young-adult dystopian fiction, as the characters involve themselves in arena gladiator matches in an attempt to win the prize of nothing.

Popular reception:
The show became somewhat popular, with critic ratings at an average show, hindered by its general lack of a plot (something the show’s creators admitted), but praised for clever humor and well-choreographed action. Despite its relatively low critical reception, it has attracted quite a fanbase in the “geek” community.

Title: Blue Skies, Grey Birds, Green Men (2015 to 2017)

Genre: Drama, military, action, sci-fi

Synopsis: Taking place in an alternate-history early-to-mid 2000s, Maj. Tanlunren "Nighthawk" Harongxi is a reckless yet highly-skilled maverick fight pilot in the Zhouranese People's Army Air Force. The son of a talented ZPAAF ace pilot who flew on the Jian-12 fighter jet and fought in Africa and the Middle East during the late 1970s and early 1980s, Harongxi is skilled and unorthodox with a wild reputation that both annoys and impresses his superiors. On August 15, 2001, in what would later be known worldwide as "Emergence Day", an extraterrestrial race of unknown origin initiates a worldwide large-scale attack on Earth. Harongxi mobilizes for duty while his wife Kaili, his teenage son Nalan and his young daughter Suli take refuge at one of the thousands of evacuation centers established across the nation. Together with his wingman Sr. Lt. Surong "Blackbird" Kaigun, Harongxi flies his Jian-22-1-0 multirole air superiority fighter jet into battle as he takes on the unknown invaders.

Popular reception: Blue Skies, Grey Birds, Green Men is considered to be of the country's best sci-fi television series of the 1990s.

Title: That Is The Day That Begins Today (2013 to 2017)

Genre: Satire

Synopsis: A satirical TV comedy known for lampooning various famous international figures such as Hollywood celebrities and Western politicians, the program would lampoon satirical targets in various sketches. Broadcasted every Friday night, the show also featured debates and monologues. Apart from western politicians and celebrities, other targets and themes included international bankers, America's declining status as a "Land of the Free", the increasing polarization and political discord of the West, racism (particularly in the West through the form of political correctness), globalization, consumerism, and Hollywood. Well-remembered sketches include a "consumers' guide to capitalism and communism", which discussed relative merits of the two political ideologies in the manner of a consumers'-choice magazine report.

Popular reception: The show became well-known, not just in Zhouran but also internationally, for being politically-incorrect. In fact the show attracted complaints worldwide, such as one from the Philippine government in 2015, upset by an item questioning the sexuality of their president Benigno Aquino III, and another from the government of Germany, which claimed that a joke about Angela Merkel being the "Queen of the World's Largest Terror Center and Brothel For Brown Men", was a "gross violation of internationally accepted ethics". The US government also sent a complaint regarding a sketch in which Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were "secretly colluding" with Chinese hackers in order to hack "Russian hackers" to collude with Donald Trump while the Australian government complained that a sketch where prime minister Malcolm Turnbull sells Aboriginal native lands to Chinese real-estate owners in exchange for money to buy more vegemite was "highly-offensive" and "strongly distasteful".

Title: Something Fishy
Genre: Western
Synopsis: Fishy Fishgrove, the heir to the fabulous Fishgrove fortune, leaves his life of privilege to roam through the Wild West, righting wrongs and wronging rights.
Theme Song:
Fishy Fishgrove was a rebel.
He roamed through the West.

Popular reception: Fishy Fishgrove was a popular character on Beehive, where he played the assistant cook for a group of bee-boys taking their herd of bees to market. The spin-off Something Fishy has been less successful, presumably because Fishy has to carry the show largely by himself, as opposed to the ensemble cast of Beehive. Something Fishy has been cancelled and uncancelled several times but it has a solid core audience and is gaining popularity on DVD.
Trivia: Fishy uses the same 1860s-era Dance revolver that the Fish With No Name used in A Fish Full of Dollars, etc. It is reputed to have belonged to Geronimo.

Title: Serpent's Sphere

Genre: Fantasy/Science Fiction

Synopsis: A alien named Platinum crashes (seemingly giving him amnesia) on an Earthlike planet set roughly in a time akin to the late 1800s, which is populated by humans, and goes on a journey with a farmer named Tupelo to a mysterious island in order to find the legendary Serpent's Sphere, a large sphere of energy which heals all wounds and boosts the abilities of those who enter it. Along the way, they pick up companions such as Allium, a shapeshifting monster, and Aster, a young boy who acts as their navigator. Platinum learns about his own special abilities as they journey to the Serpent's Sphere. Eventually, he does reach it and gain back the full range of his former abilities from before he lost his memory, but regains his memories also: he was originally sent to the human planet to eliminate human civilization because the people from his society were paranoid about potential threats to the survival of their own species. However, he was captured and mindwiped by the humans. Tupelo was actually an undercover government agent who guided Platinum to the Serpent's Sphere in order to clear it of its current inhabitants, an hostile group of knights, and claim it for the allied planetary military.
However, an alien named Titanium lands on Earth in order to find out why Platinum had not returned after so many years on Earth. The two fight an intensely destructive battle, but Platinum manages to win. He takes Titanium away from the human world to prevent his fellow alien from wrecking havoc, and the two journey across the galaxy.
Eventually, they are invited to compete in an intergalactic tournament hosted by an alien race called the Camics. They fight their way through the other contestants. In the end, Platinum gains an super-effective power-up, allowing him to win the tournament against an extremely powerful fighter who is a Camic. Platinum wins the prize- an enchanted glove.

Popular reception: By the end of the series, viewership reached over 20 million views in the first 20 days of release of the episode. Serpent's Sphere was very well received amongst all age groups, though some did dislike the shift in genre towards the second half of the series, as it went from being a light-hearted fantasy adventure to a serious piece of superhero science fiction.
Due to its immense popularity, Serpent's Sphere spawned two novel sequels, a movie sequel, and an ongoing successor TV series titled SS2.
