Most of the population belong to the Yavakh ethnic group which is in turn part of the Khangaian family. (Not Mongols)
There are also some Slavic minority groups in the country.

Most of people are descendants of roman-latins/germanic and they can be classified part of the Mediterranean ethnicity, white race.
We also have a quite relevant number of Asian-race people, especially since the Imperial Dynasty currently in power is Asian (don’t ask why lmao, is like this because IRL i am an Asian italo-vietnamese and i have yet to invent a backstory for this.).

We have minorities of various ethnicities of black race people and semitic/middle eastern people.

Obviously there are also minor white european races, like Nordic, Slavs and Aryan ethnicities.

The Kangyuli people are the dominant race in the racially-homogeneous Zhouranese archipelago. About 99.65% of Zhouran's total population are Kangyuli.

Although part of the Tungusic group, Kangyuli people feature mostly Northern Mongoloid genetic influence with a certain degree of Caucasoid genetic influence. As a result, unlike other East Asian ethnic groups such as the Han Chinese and the Koreans, and in comparison to their Tungusic relatives such as the Manchus, Kangyuli people have unique physical features typically not found in other Mongoloid ethnic groups. Not only that, Zhouranese culture and philosophy completely differs from the Confucian cultures found in China, Korea, Japan, and Vietnam, resulting in a widely-unique cultural and racial identity that differs from Oriental countries.

We may be geographically East Asian, but culturally we are Zhouranese. Our traditions, society, and even stereotypes stand out from the rest of East Asia, making us an odd peculiar anomaly in the Orient. The second largest ethnicity of Shikihara is the Rikufu people, who are a blend of natives from the Mifune isles and the Yori people who conquered them around the 8th century, around 12% of the population. The Shiroifuku people, who's origins are much more obscure, are less than 0.01% of the population but compose the highest strata of the kazoku (aristocracy) and were traditionally the only ones able to marry into the royal family in order to keep the white hair that the monarchy is known for to be the dominant trait.

The other 8% are classified as "other," and refer to other members of the Empire.

Mostly ethnic Vannish (essentially Nordic in culture and appearance) The largest minority groups are Engelish and Valten (essentially like Irish and German). They make up a sizable population in the more western reaches of Vandario. Other decent sized minority groups of Khovics and Gazarith in the Eastern reaches, and more Khovics in South Eastern. (Essentially Slavic and Mongolian in short.) Though Vandario is heavily a homogeneous society. The size of these groups are in context of each other not the main population of Vandario.
