1. Africa in the Year of God 1700-1800 had a cataclysm that split Africa down that line.
2.Our version of Australia and New Zealand happened to end up there due to different tectonic plates.
3. We have two moons named Réa and Seleni. Seleni looks similar to Earths moon but a bit redder Réa has is like a mini earth with some surface water.

Kenmoria is an illiberal yet democratic nation pursuing the goals of communism in a semi-effective fashion. It has a very broad diplomatic presence despite being economically developing, mainly to seek help in recovering from the effect of a recent civil war.
