Just what I was looking for. I’ll use the M16 as a standard issue rifle for New England soldiers and the more advanced stuff for my Rocket Commando Corp.

Sort of. There are commercial constellations with excellent temporal resolution but mediocre-poor ground resolution and state-owned satellite constellations with excellent ground resolution but poor temporal resolution. The NROs collective assets definitely come close but they aren't numerous enough to provide continuous or near-continuous coverage.

Future satellites will likely provide the best of both: Continous or nearly continuous surveillance and very high ground resolution. A particularly important capability of future surveillance satellites will be detection and tracking of moving vehicles, aircraft and humans. Missions currently undertaken by drones, AWACS, MPA, ground radars and the like will be possible from space.

But yes to an extent this is already possible.

Really makes you think about the future of warships and other high visibility objects.

The Q-ship finally displaces the missile frigate.

So there is this :

These are our latest attack boat. The nuclear one would have a variant/block upgrade which adds Missile and SDV Compartment which bring some maybe about 64 land attack missiles or 32 Hypersonic/supersonic missiles. This adds about additional 2000 tonne of displacement and 20-30 m of length.

The "Lineage" of our attack Submarine, this does not cover variants or special purpose submarine tho.

That chart is frighteningly DOD-esque. "Cross pollination" as a term for technology sharing coming to a Powerpoint yawn fest about SSBN-X near you, Soon(TM). Or howitzers. Or gunships. Or F-35 communication architecture.

I should draw Galla's SSNs rly. Or maybe its SSKs. The latter would probably be a more interesting descent while the former just devolves into a linear trend towards stronger, deeper, faster with each passing generation.

I'm just a poor wayfaring stranger, traveling through this world below
There is no sickness, no toil, nor danger, in that bright land to which I go
I'm going there to see my Father, and all my loved ones who've gone on

But beauteous fields arise before me, where God's redeemed, their vigils keep

Use Paint.Net. It's free, windows exclusive (two good reasons to get it) and it combines a lot of the basic features of photoshop with the simplicity of paint.

In other questions can anyone recommend me a good site to upload images? I used to use photobucket but it died. Than I used dropbox but they changed their business model so now you can't share images no more. So now I am unsure what to do.
Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

The above post contains hyperbole, metaphoric language, embellishment and exaggeration. It may also include badly translated figures of speech and misused idioms. Analyze accordingly.

Ideally I'd want something as lightweight as possible. Like photobucket used to be. Just register, upload and link. Deviantart frankly scares me as it's a whole giant website with its rules and god knows what else.
Frankly I am miffed that this forum does not just have an upload attachment feature like every single civilized forum out there. Would make things so much easier.

The first is Natori, which is a tiny 540 TEU coaster, the second is Kiyoyasu Maru, which is a coastal cement carrier. There is a third one that is confused for Natori which is named Nagara, which has a slightly higher TEU rating, but is the same length and has some new things. I think they're all operated by Imoto Lines in Japan.

Not in the slightest. Combat loads for soldiers have INCREASED in weight over the years to the point where an infantryman is expected to carry almost 100 pounds of gear into battle.

No, the movement to brigades is a result of reductions in military size and the desire to have more flexibility, it is helped by the fact that a modern brigade can cover a much larger frontage than a brigade from a couple decades ago.

Champagne Socialist Sharifistan wrote:Is physical strength irrelevant in modern warfare?

It depends, as others have noted the weight infantry must carry has increased, and certainly most military jobs require some amount of physical fitness. However most military jobs aren't front line soldiers and your photo reconnaissance analyst doesn't need to be a work out stud.
