The Foundhome Republic announced that the following territories have been re-incorporated into our nation: Three desert tiles to our northwest, and three tiles up the penisula.

Some of the tiles on the peninsula aren't "full" tiles. If they don't count as full, please substitute additional territory up the same peninsula to make three "full" tiles worth. Thank you.

Objection to Rome's clams! How in hell is this "three hexes?!"

Acadie's objection is correct. The claimed land far exceeds the monthly limit, even if one were to account for climate bonuses that do not apply to those hexes anyway.

Rome's claim is denied unless/until suitable changes are made.

And, as had to be expected, Nouvel Acadie officially objects to the Roman claims to the Cedar Islands and mainland territory of Vermandois that I claimed yesterday.

Objection sustained, though seems rather moot as Rome has withdrawn claims to the overlapping sections.

Expect a map update by Friday the latest.

I'm confused as to how we can be making claims for territory in February even if the map has not yet been updated to account for January claims. Has that always been a thing we can do, and I'm just too dim to have noticed? Did I miss out on a chance to make a claim in January, due to waiting to see if my December claim was accepted?

Yup. I don't even think there's a rule about making monthly claims *within* that month. We just sort of do it as a courtesy.

The general rule of thumb is you can assume a claim has been accepted unless told otherwise.
I've just been holding off on making my February claim so I can have a neater looking claim. I don't have the energy Rome apparently had to recolor the other hexes to make the new claim prettier to look at.

Not entirely. He 'unclaimed" the mainland (Vermandois); however, he also claimed and cross-hatched my blue chain of isles (Cedar Isles) and did not unclaim those. I'm leaving no potential problems here....
