How is English viewed in your nation?
English is recognised as the lingua franca of commerce, trade, science, technology and legal tradition in Cirona.

Is it legal to speak English?
Yes.

Is it the national language?
Unlike the definition of a national language in most countries, the status of national language in Cirona is a language that is explicitly recognised by the constitution to be "a language of significant historic and cultural status that is used in the day-to-day lives of most Cerons". English is one of Cirona's four national languages.

Is it a/the official language?
The status of an official language in Cirona is a language that is "the medium of a government's business, administration and governance". English is not the official language of the federal government, with that status being enjoyed exclusively by French. However, three of six regional governments and both federal territory governments recognise English as an official language.

Are there any other official or national languages commonly spoken aside from English?
French, Chinese and Sejunese are recognised as national languages along with English. Together, they account for 92.7% of the population's native language.

How many people speak it as a native language?
31.5% (~61 071 800) of the population speak English at home, while 93.4% (~177 205 200) are proficient.

If it is not that widely spoken, is it commonly taught as a second language?
The federal Ministry of Education's National Education Commission successfully pushed for bilingual education across the federation in 1968. The commission stipulated that primary schools should deliver at least 10 hours per week of French education and 7.5 hours per week of English education, and high schools 15 hours per week of French education and 12 hours per week of English education. As a result, English is incorporated into a school's syllabus as the primary medium of instruction, a supplementary medium of instruction for specific classes (such as Maths, Sciences, Economics, etc) or as a national language class.

It should be noted that while the commission set requirements for French and English education, the two other national languages did not receive similar treatment. Along with the fact that English is highly esteemed in the commercial and legal spheres, English is often said to be less of a national language on par with Chinese and Sejunese, but rather a de facto second official language on par with French.

-How is English viewed in your nation? It's beta-creature foreigner babble, just like all other languages that aren't Cybertronian Binary.
-Is it legal to speak English? Yes
-Is it the national language? Of course not! It's from another planet!
-Is it a/the official language? Of course not x2!
-Are there any other official or national languages commonly spoken aside from English? We speak Binary.
-How many people speak it as a native language? Somewhere around 700,000 immigrant citizens matured speaking it before they came here. That's out of a total population of over 18.5 billion citizens.
-If it is not that widely spoken, is it commonly taught as a second language? No. Very few ever bother to install the English Language Data Pack, which is a for-pay educational add-on.
