The warlords are easy to manipulate once you get numbers on your side....though some gave a bit of a struggle
Propaganda can and does twist people into thinking they have a common enemy. (which I always great)
Also your forgetting the reach of a good old fashion bribe. When UCA first started it controlled (loosely) Egypt as it progressed along the saraha it gained influence and power. Ethiopia join willingly without a war (a deal was made....I haven't worked out all the details) and when the Congo joined it gave a secure foot hold into the rest of Africa. And when the African people saw this massive power rising that promised "peace prosperity..etc" they jumped at the chance. Seems very simple to me.
Wow you just solved politics :-!
No you have not thought this through. Everyone issues propaganda, but your propaganda will have to work against the biases people have had for generations, make them join up with their sworn enemies, while their own government is also releasing its own propaganda and working to stop you disseminating yours. Even if you are a brilliant propaganda genius then you are still working at a massive disadvantage. Then you have to consider that the current governments are not in fact just going to say, oh well I guess i'll just let this wave of populism destroy our nation, because if they are a democracy they will be aware this means an end to democracy and if they are a dictatorship it is very much against their personal interest. No a long and bloody revolution is going to have to be fought to achieve your aims even if a reasonable percentage of the population supports you. See the Arab spring for details on how that usually turns out. Baring in mind there is no way that this whole thing can be done in a single life time so you're expecting China and America to just watch you do this for decades? Now for bribes. You are aware that generally war lords value their power quite highly, they would not be war lords if they didn't, and as such it requires a mind boggling amount of money to bribe them to give up their everything and come over to you. There is also a huge number of them. There are also lots of people who will be offering money not to give in and join you. Also a war lord knows that he can't guaranty that his followers will just say Ha no and kill him then replace him with someone else. Because being the followers of a warlord means you get to be rich, being a communist doesn't, unless of course you plan to bribe all of them too, but once again, where is the money coming from. Then consider that someone mercenary enough to switch sides for money alone might well switch back when ever its covenant.
Tell me how did the UCA progress along the Sahara. Because every single country along the way is going to be a long and bloody fight, so once again the question is where is the money coming from. Baring in mind that many of the countries have allies and there is a power balance so by the time you get to the second you are certainly going to be facing more than one opponent at once plus likely with western support who you know, don't like communists, and also probably support from religious groups who once again don't like communists.
Apparently two countries magically joined your nation for no apparent reason. Baring in mind that Congo has a civil war or Coup about every half an hour and there's only god knows how many petty war lords and insurgence there.
And then of course all of Africa falls into your lap because you offered them peace and prosperity EVERYONE OFFERS PEACE AND PROSPERITY. And people aren't so stupid that they won't notice that by this point you've already practically destroyed dozens of countries with the invasions, civil wars and the massive amounts of money that you had to raise to fight wars and bribe people.
Seriously do you think the leaders of great powers and stupid? Or maybe you think they are lazy. If it was anywhere as near as easy as you describe someone would be do it every few years for an election stunt.
I can answer your questions I one phrase
"God"
you seemed to not notice my countries heavy reliance on religion...did you not expect that to come from somewhere? Obviously god helped in our wars in the Countries surrounding Egypt. God helped in giving our leader the foresight to make the best deals and know exactly who to kill and who to ally with. God made it possible for Russia to provide financial aid with the war....up until the mineral wealth of Africa was available (in fact I talk about the debt in my fact books). Also seeing the miracles of the Christian god many nations saw our king as a sort of "Chosen one" that was destined to make Africa great (propaganda always helps) and forged alliances between some one the worst enemies. It happened in the bible(if you believe in it) before and for this country to happen I suppose he would have to help again. Also The world leaders are stupid/lazy or they wouldn't have let this terrorist situation get out of hand.
