Occasionally there will be deaths either from large domesticated animals causing accidents (horse, goats, sheep ect) in agricultural contexts, which claim maybe a few hundred people a year. We have the Persian Leopard, but it is endangered and it's more likely to a a farmers livestock than the farmers so there hasn't been a verified attack in many years. Some people claim to have been attacked by Persian Leopards, but they usually turn our to be crackpots who got clawed by their neighbors Norwegian Forrest cat when they tried to pet it the wrong way round and just wanted to get on the nine o'clock news. There are also a hundred or so cases of people being attacked by vicious dogs every year, which is why getting a dog license in our nation is insanely difficult, unless the animal is a service animal or use din ones profession like sheep dogs. Cat owners, on the other hand, get tax discounts.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

1. What is your nation’s name?
The Undying Empire of Ephyrakahara

2. What is your nation’s population?
267,201,000 Total
200,400,750 Freeborn
66,800,250 Slaves

3. What is your nation’s government’s type?
Theocratic Absolute Monarchy with non-elective executive, judiciary and legislative sub-branches.

4. What is your nation’s GDP per capita? (please list GDP/PPP in Universal Standard Dollars)
$6,752

5. What is your nation’s Human Development Index?
0.67

6. What is your nation’s human/sapient rights position?
Human rights do not exist. We do however have a law of Imperial Decree, which serves to both protect citizens and punish transgressors.

7. Does your nation’s government engage in, or condone, any of the following:
Ethnic cleansing:
The Undying Empire regards the Asseri populace as subhuman and uncivilised. Though action is being taken, it is not at the level of ethnic cleansing.

Religious/class-based/other democide:
The Undying Empire currently wages a war against the entirety of Islam in the empire. Our goal is nothing less than the utter extermination of Islamic preachers, worshippers, and the ideology within the empire.

Slavery:
Over sixty million people live as slaves currently.

Compulsory eugenics:
Not enforced by law but by culture. No pureblood woman will ever be permitted to be impregnated by anyone else than a pureblooded man. However on the flip side, if a pureblood man impregnates an impure woman, it is seen as an honour.

Forcible segregation:
The Asseri people are forced into ghettos and slums. The Kanaeri simply do not interact with the Ephyral by choice, so we're quite content to leave them alone so long as they remain compliant to Imperial Decree.

8. Are people in your nation at risk of the above activities carried out by entities such as criminal or terrorist organizations?
The terrorist insurgency group Jaysh Allah has been targeting worshippers of the Ephyral gods to be killed, as well as taking Ephyral lowbloods as slaves, and otherwise killing most other Ephyral they come across. However the threat to the empire at large from these fates are minimal, and the empire is deploying overwhelming force to annihilate the organisation that operates in two other countries.

ECONOMIC QUESTIONS:

9. As a percentage of the population, how many people in your nation are living in absolute poverty? (Under $2 per day)?
No census has been taken of this, but it is widely believed well over 25%, including all slaves and a significant amount of subhumans and a tiny amount of citizens.

10. As a percentage of the population, how many people in your nation are undernourished?
Slightly higher than the poverty rate.

11. What is the unemployment rate in your nation?
We keep no census of this as we have no fallback programmes for people. They either work or they starve. The empire does not care.

12. As a percentage of the population, how many people in your nation are homeless?
No census kept.

13. As a percentage of the population, how many people in your nation have access to personal or mass transit?
No census kept.

No census kept.
