Arthropol, officially the Kingdom of Arthropol (French: Royaume d'Arthropol), is a sovereign state whose territory consists of metropolitan Arthropol in Western Europe, as well as several overseas regions and territories. The metropolitan area of France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the border with France, and from Mont Blanc to the Atlantic Ocean. The overseas territories include Arthropolian Guiana in South America and several islands in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans. The country's 15 integral regions (five of which are situated overseas) span a combined area of 266,596 square kilometres and a total population of 72 million (as of June 2018). Arthropol is a unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy with its capital in Arthropol City, the country's largest city and main cultural and commercial centre. Other major urban centres include Lyon, Bordeaux, Nice and Toulouse. Questions about Arthropol may be asked on this thread, and will be answered by a important political figure (or me if the question is OOC).

Note that Arthropol exists in an alternate reality, and some events, places, or things you mention might be different or not exist in this timeline.

Our flag was made in 1792, by the founders of Arthropol. The blue on each side represents the sea and sky, and the white represents the Pyrenees, the Alps, and our peacefulness.

Religion is permitted in Arthropol, although the majority of people are non religious. The most common religion is Catholic Christianity, with 15% of Arthropolians being Catholic. All religion is allowed, with 35% being religious.
