What's the name of YN's legislature? National Assembly
Bicameral, unicameral, or more houses than two? 1 house
Names of the houses? (Highest to lowest) Senate
What are members referred to as? (like Representative in the US, MP in most parliamentary systems, TD in Ireland, et cetera) MNA(Members of National Assembly)
Number of members? Total 4472.
Current speaker(s) (if applicable)? Dmitri Sokolovsky
Current head of government? Dmitri Sokolovsky
Which party is in power? National Party
Are they in a coalition? If so, what parties are they in a coalition with? Conservative Party and Green Party.
What languages are spoken in your legislature? Russian, English, and German.
Voting system? There are 2.236 billion New Transeurasians. There are 2 seats in the National Assembly for every 1 million New Transeurasians. This means there are 4,472 seats in the New Transeurasian National Assembly. Electoral groups are the groups of 1 million people voting for 2 seats. Every Electoral group has around 1,000,000 people. There is a problem with this, because there are actually 2,236,734,765 New Transeurasians, as of 2016. These other 734,765 people are randomly put into the groups as evenly as possible, making all the electoral groups have 1,000,328 or 1,000,329 people. Electoral groups are assigned randomly and electronically every election. Most candidates for the National Assembly run for multiple seats for multiple electoral groups. Every 2 years, National Assembly elections are held in New Transeurasia.

  • The seven major parties work together in a coalition, the National Coalition for Stroulia. They are:

Names of the houses? House of Representatives (lower), and the Senate (upper)
What are members referred to as? (like Representative in the US, MP in most parliamentary systems, TD in Ireland, et cetera) When refering to just members of the lower house people generally use "MP" or "Representative." Members of the Senate are called Senators
Number of members? 350 MPs and 160 senators
Current speaker(s) (if applicable)? MP Maria Fitzgerald (NDP)
Current head of government? John Black (NCP)
Which party is in power? The National Conservative Party holds the prime ministership
Are they in a coalition? If so, what parties are they in a coalition with? PM Black is in a coalition deal with the New Democratic Party, and in cohabitation with the Socialist Party's Justin Capriles who is the president of Avinaa.
What languages are spoken in your legislature? English.
Voting system? Mixed Member Proportional/FPTP. 250 seats of the House are elected in single member constituencies under a first-past-the-post system and the remaining 100 seats are elected under a party-list method in direct proportion to the national popular vote with a 3% threshold for party-list seats. In the Senate 120 Senators are elected by voters in each of the 40 States. Each state is allocated three senators with two elected during presidential elections and one elected during midterm elections, the remaining 40 are allocated by the party list vote with the same 3% threshold. This brings the total number of senators to 160.
